      La Spinettas Riserve der Barbaresco-Einzellagen werden nur in den besten Jahrgängen gefüllt und kommen ausschließlich in Magnum-Flaschen in den Handel. Die Trauben für diesen Ausnahmewein stammen von Weinbergen von 450 Meter ü.M. aus der Gemarkung Neive.

      Funkelndes, sattes und tiefes Rubingranat. Valeriano Riserva überrascht mit einer herrlichen Frische und Lebendigkeit, besonders am Gaumen. Dann kommen neben der präsenten dunklen Frucht Noten von altem Leder, Tabak, Rauch und etwas Lakritze, alle Komponenten sind aufeinander abgestimmt und münden in ein geschmeidiges, ausdrucksstarkes Finish.       "At 400 meters above sea level, the Valeirano vineyard is La Spinetta's highest in elevation. The site is characterized by sandy soils with many stones mixed within. The 2005 Barbaresco Riserva Vigneto Valeirano Vürsù almost feels like a Barolo from the Serralunga d'Alba township thanks to the enormous power, determination and richness it so lavishly displays. The bouquet opens to deep, dark fruit aroma of plum, blackberry and black currant. Those aromas are followed by molasses, barbecue spice, tar and balsam herb. Up until the 2004 vintage, these Riservas were aged in 100% barrique. Starting with this vintage, they have started aging a portion of the wine in neutral oak to bring out the elegance of the grape."
