The Fattoria Poggio Capponi was built at the end of the 15th century. In a magnificent landscape of vineyards, olive groves, wheat fields and cypresses, the estate extends over an area of 500 hectares. Six types of wine and virgin olive oil are produced. All of them are down-to-earth products that give a lot of pleasure. Hardly any place combines all the beauty of the typical Tuscan landscape more picturesquely and perfectly than Poggio Capponi. Thus the estate became the backdrop for the film 'La notte di San Lorenzo' by Paolo and Vittorio Taviani. SUPERIORE.DE
