"Aromas evoking black-skinned berry, new leather, blue flower, Asian spice and dried botanical herb waft out of the glass. On the taut, linear palate, youthfully austere, fine-grained tannins envelope cranberry, pomegranate, star anise and a hint of ground clove while surprisingly fresh acidity for the hot vintage keeps it balanced. "The 2015 Taurasi exudes a baroque opulence, with generous layers of tobacco, black cherry and chocolate. The acidity and minerality help to streamline the mouthfeel just a bit, but this remains a large-scale, full-bodied red nevertheless. This wine will be released at the end of this year. I could see a pairing with agnolotti stuffed with roasted meat. The warm and sunny 2015 vintage was especially kind to the Aglianico grape." Robert Parker
