“Cutizzi” Greco di Tufo DOCG 2022
Intense, straw-yellow colour and a complex bouquet in which the aromas of melon and pineapple alternate with spicy notes of camomile, vanilla and nutmeg. On the palate, it is round with a rich texture and the pleasant minerality so typical of the Tufo region. Elegant, long finish with a delicate almond flavour. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright straw yellow with green reflections. Yellow peach and orange zest on the nose, delicate nuances of dandelion. Yellow-fruity, juicy and fresh on the palate, lively acidity, pleasantly salty on the finish." Falstaff
"The 2022 Greco di Tufo Cutizzi opens with an array of sweet white flowers, chamomile and crushed apples. It balances ripe fruit trees and green melon with salty mineral tones and tantalising acidity. The 2022 finishes with a saline tension and notes of nectarine." Vinous
"Elegant, fresh and dense, with a delicious acidity and a chalky base note that frames flavours of ripe mirabelle plums and nectarines, blanched almonds, aniseed, hyssop and preserved lemon." Wine Spectator
"This is a fine Greco. It's savoury, almondy, quinine, bitter and spicy, while subtly moving into stone fruit territory without going over the top. A tremor of mineral tension and shotgun acidity finds a nervous meeting with a stiff upper lip of richness. Convincing." James Suckling
"The Feudi di San Gregorio 2022 Greco di Tufo Cutizzi is just the ticket for a plate of raw fish with spicy wasabi sauce or tuna tartare. Made only in stainless steel, it has the subtle power and firmness to support generous aromas of pear, quince and honeydew melon. The wine's mineral signature is very developed." Wine Advocate

Pure variety Aglianico, whose grapes come from Pietradefusi and S. Angelo all'Esca. Brilliant ruby red with garnet highlights, an enveloping bouquet of morello cherries and marasca cherries in harmony with notes of cinnamon and nutmeg, vanilla and aniseed. The full, balanced taste with sweet, silky tannins ends in an aromatic, lingering final. SUPERIORE.DE
"Sparkling, rich ruby red. Smells of cranberries, sour cherries and fresh plums on the nose. Juicy and with lots of clear fruit on the palate, opens with present tannin polished at the core, salty on the final." Falstaff
"A medium-bodied red wine with aromas and flavours of blackberries, wet earth and graphite. Fine tannins and a lovely finish. This is a polished and fine Taurasi." James Suckling
"The 2018 Taurasi is velvety and darkly saturated with an extracted flavour profile that focuses on black plum, blackberry jam and tarry aromas. The wine presents a veritable wall of black fruit flavours, but it also softens with time, thanks to burgeoning tertiary tones of spice, cured leather and earth. “Piano di Montevergine” Taurasi Riserva DOCG 2016
Feudi's Riserva Piano di Montevergine is only vinified in outstanding years. The wine has a very impressive concentration and great richness in every vintage. Dark and brooding on first impression, it slowly awakens in the glass with a captivating blend of menthol, mint and exotic spices that evolves with a lively note of cinnamon-dusted redcurrant. This velvety-smooth and elegant wine appears heavy at first, but is quickly enlivened by a core of vibrant acidity and zesty citrus notes that embellish the tart black fruits. The tannins on the finish are sweet and chalky, while notes of wild red plum and blood orange keep the tasterer coming back for more. SUPERIORE.DE
"Very fragrant and exotic nose of fresh dates, Turkish delight, red berries and mustard seeds. Full-bodied with firm, silky tannins and some Riserva-style oak, which gives the fruit a darker edge without taking away the exotic character. The fruit and spices even lighten up on the finish. Long and flavourful with plenty of variety. It's interesting to try it now, but it still has a long way to go." James Suckling
"The Feudi di San Gregorio 2016 Taurasi Riserva Piano di Montevergine is a significant wine that has raised the bar in this storied appellation. It shows well-managed development, polished tannins, dark fruit and plenty of savoury spice and campfire ash. There are also some dusty minerals that give it definition and complexity." Wine Advocate
"Plum sauce, pencil lead, clove, balsamic spice, mint, rosemary, stone dust, rose petals and more... Every time the Taurasi Riserva Piano di Monte Vergine 2016 is tipped in the glass, it seems to reveal further depths. This wine is simply stunning, with a silky texture of tart wild berries, citrus and brilliant acidity. Energetic but still youthfully tense and structured, its web of fine-grained tannins appears late and slowly tightens as rosemary and tangerine resonance mingle and fizzle out. The Piano di Monte Vergine 2016 is a classic in the making." Vinous

On the palate, powerful, fresh, with a nice spiciness and a potpourri of stone fruit, fine honey notes and toasted almonds. This sparkling wine does not need any dosage at all, it is extremely dry with all its aromatic diversity and for us, with its impressive finish, it is one of the very great Spumanti in Italy. “Serpico” Aglianico Irpinia DOC 2015
Serpico is an authentic, long-lasting wine made from Aglianico grapes, some of which come from vines that are over 100 years old. Intense, deep ruby red colour and an extremely complex bouquet with aromas of cherries, sweet spices, liquorice, coffee and cocoa. Impressive its extraordinary concentration and aromaticity as well as the enormously persistent finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright, rich ruby red with a slightly brightening rim. In the nose of ripe sour cherries and plums, then liquorice and coffee. Very concentrated on the palate, with strong tannin, juicy, well balanced, with a long final." Falstaff
"Taut and linear, this opens with aromas of red berry, pipe tobacco and eucalyptus. The firm, elegantly structured palate delivers sour cherry, cassis, star anise and a hint of smoke before finishing on an accent of coffee. Taut, fine-grained tannins provide the framework." Wine Enthusiast
"There are darker tones of purple and black fruit and some savory chocolate flavors as well in the 2015 Irpinia Aglianico Serpico. This is an ambitious and deeply layered wine that peels back to reveal more spice, tar and volcanic ash hidden deep within its core. I would suggest some more bottle age with this wine, however, as the mouthfeel is sharp and etched in its youth. The wine needs a little more time to flesh out and put on more volume. Serpico goes through an 18-month aging regime in medium-toast French oak." Wine Advocate

“Piano di Montevergine” Taurasi Riserva DOCG 2015 · MAGNUM in OWC
Feudi's Riserva Piano di Montevergine is only vinified in outstanding years. The wine has a very impressive concentration and great richness. On the nose dark fruit, blackberry, flowers and spices, on the palate elegant, powerful flavours flanked by silky polished tannins and wood aromas. A wine with enormous potential. SUPERIORE.DE
"Dark and brooding, the 2015 Taurasi Riserva Piano di Montevergine slowly awakens in the glass with a captivating blend of menthol, mint and exotic spices that evolves with a vibrant note of cinnamon-dusted currants. Velvety smooth and elegant, this wine seems heavy at first, but is quickly enlivened by a core of vibrant acidity and zesty citrus notes that embellish the tart black fruits. The tannins on the finish are sweet and chalky, while notes of wild red plums and blood oranges keep the taster coming back." Vinous
"Rich ruby red with a slightly lightening rim. In the nose rather restrained at the beginning, then after ripe cranberries, sour cherries and plums, in the reverberation underbrush and tobacco. Powerful and lush on the palate, with polished tannin, finely balanced, has power, long and balsamic final." Falstaff
"Fleshy and vegetal notes on the nose with dried earth and pistachio skin. Also cloves. It is full-bodied with layers of ripe and dried black fruits, cloves, walnuts and smoked meat." James Suckling
"Sourced from the villages of Piano di Montevergine and Taurasi, this Riserva is harvested from relatively young vines aged between 15 and 20 years. Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, it focuses on graphite minerality and restrained cassis, enhanced by an herbaceous character and wild dark fruits linked by cocoa powder on the nose and palate. The tannins are velvety with tremendous mid-palate extraction and powerful acidity, yet the wine is balanced due to the great fruit concentration. Overall a bold style that will improve with age." Decanter
"This is a great vintage with plenty of spice and smoke. The 2015 is more explosive and the 2016 is more direct, refined and elegant. This wine has great volume in the mouth and is very impressive. Historically the best vintages of this important wine include 1999, 2001, 2010 and 2013." Wine Advocate

“Pàtrimo” Rosso Campania IGT 2016
The pure Merlot Pàtrimo fascinates with its dense ruby red colour, which almost tends to black and yet shows itself clearly. On the nose it reveals aromas of black fruits with hints of sweet spices, curry, but also eucalyptus, vanilla and coffee. On the palate, volume and concentration leave a lasting impression. SUPERIORE.DE
"I tasted this wine twice over the course of six months, in advance of its commercial release. The 2016 Pàtrimo is quite a wine and needs all the extra bottle time it can get. Indeed, I would suggest putting it at the back of your cellar for another 5 years (at least). It opens to a black and impenetrable appearance. This is an elaborate and beautifully constructed wine that is put together piece by piece like a jigsaw puzzle. When viewed as a whole, all those tiny pieces create a beautiful portrait of a grape as the protagonist and of a region as its context. This full-bodied Merlot has made important strides since I first tasted it. Today, it is more expansive and exuberant. It shows lots of volume and depth with elegance and finesse." Wine Advocate

"A beautiful nose of ripe red berries with sweet vanilla and chocolate. Medium body with firm tannins and good acidity that brightens the character of the black and red cherries. Good balance and length." James Suckling
"The Feudi di San Gregorio 2016 Irpinia Aglianico Serpico has taken the proverbial turn toward tertiary aromas, or at least an initial turn, showing pressed blackberry and blackcurrant surrounded by tarry smoke, campfire ash and toasted spice. The 2016 vintage will be remembered for its power and its inner elegance, and those are exactly the traits that have carried this wine so far, and that will continue to shape its bottle-aging trajectory. There are dusty volcanic tones on the close, and the tannins are dry over a mid-weight mouthfeel." Wine Advocate

Who has enjoyed a good regional wine in Naples or on one of the offshore islands Ischia or Capri in the vacation, has certainly already come across this big name: Feudi di San Gregorio. The winery, which is located in Sorbo Serpico in the Irpinia region and has grown from small beginnings to its present size in less than ten years, is known for its strong personality and its terroir wines. By the way, Pope Gregory the Great was already cultivating wine in the region in the sixth century. Today Feudi di San Gregorio is a symbol of the oenological renaissance of southern Italy. The authentic wines produced there from ancient vines are therefore repeatedly rewarded with high scores by wine critics. An example is the deep dark Aglianico, which has been elaborated to one of the highest rated wines of Italy. Feudi di San Gregorio was awarded the title of best Italian winery in 2013. "Oscar del Vino" excellent.
At an altitude of 350 to 700 metres, the vineyards of Tufo, Taurasi and Santa Paolina are home to Aglianico and other popular grape varieties such as Fiano, Greco and Falanghina. The grapes benefit from a special microclimate that is different from the rest of Campania. The vegetation is very dense and varied. Endless seeming mountain and hill ranges alternate with rivers and lakes. This creates special wind conditions that guarantee a good supply of rainwater.
Feudi di San Gregorio has shaped the image of the Campania wine landscape more than any other wine house for several decades. Far-reaching strategic changes made by a new management team have ushered in a new era that is having a positive effect on the range of modern wines. The urge to discover of the early years with a stronger connection to the native soil revives. This is mainly due to the energetic President Antonio Capaldo, who previously worked for the investment bank Lazard and the management and strategy consultancy McKinsey. But the change of direction is also attributable to Pierpaolo Sirch, who - supported by Marco Simonit - has given all the white wines aged in steel in the high-tech cellar a new style. The Technical Director, who has a dual role as manager and production manager, has ensured that the wines' loyalty to the terroir and personality are combined with a harmony and freshness that are even more pronounced than in previous years. According to wine connoisseurs, the reds have also clearly benefited from Sirch's handwriting. SUPERIORE.DE
"The new start is based on the exceptional vineyard and the recovery of a stylistic identity that has never before been so close to the terroir."Gambero Rosso
