“Visione” Rosato Campania IGT 2021
Crystal clear, fresh Rosato made from 100% Aglianico grapes from the winery. Fragrant of ripe wild strawberries and cherries, open, fresh and wonderfully polished on the palate with the characteristic aromas of wild berries and a wonderfully fruity-delicate finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Dried flowers and chalk dust give way to white strawberries as the 2021 Rosato Visione blossoms in the glass. This fills the palate with soft textural fruits offset by stimulating acidity and a salty mineral core that creates a more savory expression towards the close. The 2021 tapers off a bit short, yet clean, with a gentle twang of sour citrus. The Visione is a varietal Aglianico Rosato produced from the estate’s higher-elevation fruit." Vinous

“Campanaro” Bianco Irpinia DOC 2018
Campanaro from Fiano and Greco glows in a warm, sunny yellow hue. The bouquet reveals a variety of scents, ripe pear, candied orange peel and fig, followed by honey and hawthorn. The palate presents its rich and round texture as well as a fine pleasant acidity. The underlying mineral content gives the wine fresh highlights and leads to a balanced, wonderful finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"A dense white with layers of fruit, showing cooked apples, pears and hints of almonds. It's full and flavorful with a crushed-stone undertone to the creamy-textured fruit. Needs a little time to open." James Suckling
"A blend of equal parts Fiano and Greco packaged in a softly frosted bottle, the Feudi di San Gregorio 2018 Irpinia Campanaro does a great job of presenting varietal and territorial typicity, also offering a smooth and contemporary personality at the same time. There is enough structure and fruity fiber to contemplate a more sophisticated food pairing such as pasta with black squid ink." Robert Parker

“DUBL” Metodo Classico Rosé VSQ s.a. brut
Feudi di San Gregorio's DUBL project was born in 2004 from an awareness of the great richness of the autochthonous vines of the Irpinia region and the desire to open up new horizons for them: as a Metodo Classico Spumante or by means of the famous Méthode Champenoise. An advisor was quickly found for this - none other than Anselme Selosse, who is known for his champagnes and his feeling for the particularities of the vines and vineyards.
Light salmon pink. Soft, creamy foam, red wild berries on the nose, plus some cherry blossom and a fine almond note. On the palate, a silky texture with a full, lively core. A high-class Metodo Classico from Campania that captivates us not only because of its freshness and elegance. SUPERIORE.DE
"The pale pink NV Metodo Classico Brut Dubl Rosato is a delicate and silky wine with soft lines and a refreshing, zesty finish. The bouquet emits playful notes of wild berry, white cherry and candied almond. The mouthfeel is energized and bright, thanks to the wine's tonic sparkling character." Robert Parker

“DUBL ESSE” Metodo Classico VSQ s.a. dosaggio zero
A quarter of the base wines of this top product is aged for 6 months in oak barrels, then the cuvée matures for 3 years in the bottle on the fine lees before it is disgorged. Strong light yellow and a super-fine perlage. On the nose, light fruit, yeasty notes and nuances of fresh bread. On the palate, powerful, fresh, with a nice spiciness and a potpourri of stone fruit, fine honey notes and toasted almonds. This sparkling wine does not need any dosage at all, it is extremely dry with all its aromatic diversity and for us, with its impressive finish, it is one of the very great Spumanti in Italy. SUPERIORE.DE
"Aromas of spiced pears, quince, biscuit, salted lemons and oyster shells. It's medium-bodied with tangy acidity, medium bubbles and saline, umami character. Dry and savory." James Suckling
"Disgorged in 2016, the NV Metodo Classico Dosaggio Zero Dubl Esse sees a blend of fruit from the 2010 and 2011 vintages. All of the wine stays on the lees for three years, but only a quarter of the wine is aged in oak for six months. This is a new product from Feudi di San Gregorio with super-modern packaging and immediate appeal. The palate is fresh and zesty with endnotes of stone fruit, honey and toasted nut." Robert Parker

“Piano di Montevergine” Taurasi Riserva DOCG 2015
Feudi's Riserva Piano di Montevergine is only vinified in outstanding years. The wine has a very impressive concentration and great richness. On the nose dark fruit, blackberry, flowers and spices, on the palate elegant, powerful flavours flanked by silky polished tannins and wood aromas. A wine with enormous potential. SUPERIORE.DE
"Meaty and herbal notes on the nose with dried earth and pistachio skin. Cloves, too. It’s full-bodied with layers of ripe and dried black fruit, cloves, walnuts and smoked meat." James Suckling
"From Piano di Montevergine and Taurasi villages, this Riserva is harvested from relatively young vines of 15 to 20 years. Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, it is focused on graphite minerality and restrained cassis, enhanced by a herbaceous character and wild dark fruits, linked nose-palate by cacao powder. The tannins are velvety with huge mid-palate extraction and firm acidity, yet the wine is balanced due to a great concentration of fruit. Overall a bold style right now; it will improve further with ageing." Decanter
"This is a terrific vintage with ample spice and smoke. The 2015 is more explosive and 2016 is more direct, fine and elegant. This wine shows extra volume in the mouth, making a great impact. Some of the historically best vintages of this important wine include 1999, 2001, 2010 and 2013." Robert Parker

“Serpico” Aglianico Irpinia DOC 2015
Serpico is an authentic, long-lasting wine made from Aglianico grapes, some of which come from vines that are over 100 years old. Intense, deep ruby red colour and an extremely complex bouquet with aromas of cherries, sweet spices, liquorice, coffee and cocoa. Impressive its extraordinary concentration and aromaticity as well as the enormously persistent finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Taut and linear, this opens with aromas of red berry, pipe tobacco and eucalyptus. The firm, elegantly structured palate delivers sour cherry, cassis, star anise and a hint of smoke before finishing on an accent of coffee. Taut, fine-grained tannins provide the framework." Wine Enthusiast
"There are darker tones of purple and black fruit and some savory chocolate flavors as well in the 2015 Irpinia Aglianico Serpico. This is an ambitious and deeply layered wine that peels back to reveal more spice, tar and volcanic ash hidden deep within its core. I would suggest some more bottle age with this wine, however, as the mouthfeel is sharp and etched in its youth. The wine needs a little more time to flesh out and put on more volume. Serpico goes through an 18-month aging regime in medium-toast French oak." Robert Parker

“Pàtrimo” Rosso Campania IGT 2013
The pure Merlot Pàtrimo fascinates with its dense ruby red colour, which almost tends to be black and yet shows itself clearly. In the nose it reveals aromas of black fruits with hints of sweet spices, curry, but also eucalyptus, vanilla and coffee. On the palate, volume and concentration leave a lasting impression. SUPERIORE.DE
"This vintage really embodies the message and style that this great Campania Merlot aims to achieve. It stays true to the fruit and the wild/untamed personality of the territory that shaped it. The 2013 Pàtrimo is one of those wines that flaunts its confidence and greatness despite its recent release date. The fruit is very young and plump, but there is enough of it to carry the wine over the next decade or two. Since the 2009 vintage, Pàtrimo has moved increasingly towards a higher percentage of neutral oak and that change becomes very obvious in this vintage. The freshness and purity of the fruit is the wine's driving force. Dark cherry, raspberry and dark plum lead the charge. Wait a few years before popping this cork. This is an enormously encouraging and inspiring vintage of Pàtrimo." Robert Parker
"A firm and silky red with berries, chocolate and hints of spices. Full to medium body, caressing tannins and a bright finish. Very polished and pretty now. Give it a few years to soften." James Suckling

“Pàtrimo” Rosso Campania IGT 2016
The pure Merlot Pàtrimo fascinates with its dense ruby red colour, which almost tends to black and yet shows itself clearly. On the nose it reveals aromas of black fruits with hints of sweet spices, curry, but also eucalyptus, vanilla and coffee. On the palate, volume and concentration leave a lasting impression. SUPERIORE.DE
"I tasted this wine twice over the course of six months, in advance of its commercial release. The 2016 Pàtrimo is quite a wine and needs all the extra bottle time it can get. Indeed, I would suggest putting it at the back of your cellar for another 5 years (at least). It opens to a black and impenetrable appearance. This is an elaborate and beautifully constructed wine that is put together piece by piece like a jigsaw puzzle. When viewed as a whole, all those tiny pieces create a beautiful portrait of a grape as the protagonist and of a region as its context. This full-bodied Merlot has made important strides since I first tasted it. Today, it is more expansive and exuberant. It shows lots of volume and depth with elegance and finesse." Robert Parker

Who has enjoyed a good regional wine in Naples or on one of the offshore islands Ischia or Capri in the vacation, has certainly already come across this big name: Feudi di San Gregorio. The winery, which is located in Sorbo Serpico in the Irpinia region and has grown from small beginnings to its present size in less than ten years, is known for its strong personality and its terroir wines. By the way, Pope Gregory the Great was already cultivating wine in the region in the sixth century. Today Feudi di San Gregorio is a symbol of the oenological renaissance of southern Italy. The authentic wines produced there from ancient vines are therefore repeatedly rewarded with high scores by wine critics. An example is the deep dark Aglianico, which has been elaborated to one of the highest rated wines of Italy. Feudi di San Gregorio was awarded the title of best Italian winery in 2013. "Oscar del Vino" excellent.
At an altitude of 350 to 700 metres, the vineyards of Tufo, Taurasi and Santa Paolina are home to Aglianico and other popular grape varieties such as Fiano, Greco and Falanghina. The grapes benefit from a special microclimate that is different from the rest of Campania. The vegetation is very dense and varied. Endless seeming mountain and hill ranges alternate with rivers and lakes. This creates special wind conditions that guarantee a good supply of rainwater.
Feudi di San Gregorio has shaped the image of the Campania wine landscape more than any other wine house for several decades. Far-reaching strategic changes made by a new management team have ushered in a new era that is having a positive effect on the range of modern wines. The urge to discover of the early years with a stronger connection to the native soil revives. This is mainly due to the energetic President Antonio Capaldo, who previously worked for the investment bank Lazard and the management and strategy consultancy McKinsey. But the change of direction is also attributable to Pierpaolo Sirch, who - supported by Marco Simonit - has given all the white wines aged in steel in the high-tech cellar a new style. The Technical Director, who has a dual role as manager and production manager, has ensured that the wines' loyalty to the terroir and personality are combined with a harmony and freshness that are even more pronounced than in previous years. According to wine connoisseurs, the reds have also clearly benefited from Sirch's handwriting. SUPERIORE.DE
