The frothy classic from Italy's leading Prosecco winery. Radiant in the glass, with the scent of white flowers and fruits, exceedingly fine and elegant in taste. SUPERIORE.DE

"Brilliant silver green. In the nose with fragrant nuances, delicate almond, bitter orange, peach. Balanced on the palate with very well integrated perlage, spreads nicely, compact and clear with good length." Falstaff

"Lots of peach, apple and fresh pear on the nose. It’s crisp and medium-bodied with a creamy mousse. Hints of almond pastry. Pleasant." James Suckling

"Opening with enticing scents of white stone fruit, citrus zest and hawthorn, this focused sparkler is savory and elegant. On the dry palate, bright acidity and a tantalizing, silky mousse accompany ripe Bartlett pear, white peach and dried aromatic herb alongside tangy acidity. It closes on a white-almond note." • "Primo Franco" Prosecco Spumante di Valdobbiadene Superiore DOCG 2019 Dry

“Primo Franco” Prosecco Spumante di Valdobbiadene Superiore DOCG 2019 Dry

Primo Franco is an elegant, very select vintage Prosecco Superiore from the heart of the DOCG cultivation area. Fine perlage in a clear straw yellow, very pleasantly fragrant of pear and sandy biscuits, it literally melts on the tongue with fine subtle fruit sweetness. SUPERIORE.DE

"Brilliant, luminous silver-grey. In the nose after blood orange, melon, pineapple and lychee, exotic and clear. At the palate just as south-fruity, marvellous warmth with great integrated perlage, juicy and fruity to the endless, to bathe in it." Falstaff

"This creamy, sweet sparkler opens with heady aromas of Granny Smith apple, exotic fruit and candied citrus zest. The aromas follow over to the bright, fruity palate along with white-almond notes and a foaming perlage. Fresh acidity lifts the rich flavors." Wine Enthusiast

"There’s a lot to like about the 2019 Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Primo Franco, from its exotic, smoky, and sometimes even tropical perfumes, to the round textures where this perfectly balances both savory and sweet. The Primo Franco is juicy and jovial; yet it colors within the lines of refinement, as this cleans up perfectly and leaves the mouth watering for more. In my opinion, this is the wine of the house." • "Nodi" Prosecco Spumante di Valdobbiadene Superiore DOCG 2018 Brut

“Nodi” Prosecco Spumante di Valdobbiadene Superiore DOCG 2018 Brut

The noble Nodi captivates by its elegance and restraint. Delicate scent of wisteria, flint and roses, plus fruity notes of pear, gooseberry and lime. On the palate, a fine, discreet perlage, a fresh note of lime, peach and white fruits in combination with the well-dosed acidity for a piquant and crisp taste experience. For us, the perfect aperitif and with just 6g residual sugar the first choice as a companion to seafood. SUPERIORE.DE

"Brilliant silver-grey. In the nose of peach, apricot, has something of the rosehip, light honey tone, elegant. At the palate with delicate melting, yellow-fruity body, spans a wide arch, compact in the final, long." Falstaff

"The 2018 Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Brut Nodi mixes pure orchard fruits, sweet spices and smoky floral tones in the glass. The textures are silky with a fine bead of bubbles supported by bright acidity, as this sways more toward the savory and dry side, showing salty minerals and inner herbal tones. The Nodi tapers off slow, sizzling with residual tension and a twang of sour citrus." Vinous

"Silky smooth and savory, this stunning sparkler has delicate scents of white spring flower, white stone fruit, fennel and bread dough. Focused and loaded with finesse, the creamy palate doles out ripe Bartlett pear, yellow apple and ginger alongside bright acidity and an extremely refined perlage." Wine Enthusiast

    About the winemakersNino FrancoVeneto
    Nino Franco

Primo Franco has always been very interested in architecture. Fortunately for the wine lovers, however, he has chosen a completely different professional path. As a producer of high-class sparkling wines, however, the manager of the small winery Nino Franco has retained the joy of clear lines to this day, as the octagonal office building also proves. Primo had the great idea in the 1970s to devote himself practically entirely to the production of Prosecco in various variations. From 1982 onwards, he even succeeded in advancing to the highest Italian wine league with the family business Valdobbiadene, now almost one hundred years old and situated in the heart of the enchanting municipality of Valdobbiadene on the edge of the foothills of the Alps. The international reputation of the house, founded by Nino Franco's father Antonio, has continued to grow despite high-class competition. The top ambassador of Prosecco from the Venetian province of Treviso has remained true to his style: To produce fresh and uncomplicated sparkling wines, which clearly differ from everyday products in their quality. His wife Anneliese and daughter Silvia actively support Primo Franco in his work.

Nino and Primo, descendants of their ancestor, gradually expanded the company located in Via Garibaldi in order to increase production capacity. In the course of time a lot of money was invested in modern facilities. Wines untypical for the region have been removed from the bottle rack. The estate has always carried out experiments aimed at reducing human intervention in the cellar, but also at highlighting the character of the Glera grape variety and the prestige of the area. As sales manager, Primo had even travelled spontaneously through South America and the Far East in earlier years to present his latest products in a charming and competent manner far away from home. Today, the annual production of more than one million bottles is ensured by numerous reliable grape suppliers who are looked after all year round. Otherwise, the proportion of fruit from their own vineyards would only be sufficient for the top products of the Prosecco House.

With their brown and red layers, the stony and calcareous soils of the Veneto offer extremely favourable growing conditions for the Glera vine. The light and plain Prosecchi produced by Primo Franco do not bend to traditional rules, but are above all an expression of his personality. They have a high recognition value and ideally have an intense, luxuriant fruity note. Ratings of important wine critics testify to the high level of the noble foamers. SUPERIORE.DE

"Readers who want to discover Prosecco in best quality should put this good at the top of their shopping lists."Robert Parker

"Primo Franco's company has a special position in Prosecco because it can represent the historical bubbles of Valdobbiadene all over the world, although it is completely different from the others. The originality also lies in the fact that the otherwise most common Extra Dry is not available in the range."Gambero Rosso
