“Lezér” Rosso Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT 2021 (BIO)
Lezér means "light" and so it is - in the most delicate sense. Bright ruby red, red berries and an interesting note of violets on the nose. On the palate smoke, freshly cut wood and a fine creaminess. A thoroughly fresh red until the finish, which is particularly suited to the warm season and uncomplicated Mediterranean cuisine when lightly chilled. The ageing in different vessels such as amphora, cement tank and wooden barrel gives it an additional charm and an unmistakable profile. SUPERIORE.DE

“Fontanasanta” Manzoni Bianco Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT 2021 (BIO)
A small marvel, perfectly harmonised with multi-layered aromas of tropical fruits, apples and honey. A highly interesting white natural wine that is far more than casual enjoyment because it offers an exceedingly full, well-structured taste. Fermented in the red wine process with the skins. Strong yellow with golden reflections. Intensely fragrant of dried herbs, incense, candied lemon peel and a hint of bitter orange. On the palate, fresh citrus notes, an exciting acid arc and a powerful structure lead into a very long finish, crowned by a hint of bitter almonds. Very complex and a wonderful food companion - definitely aerate! SUPERIORE.DE

“Fontanasanta” Nosiola Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT 2019 (BIO)
Nosiola - an ancient grape variety of Trentino - was once cultivated all over the country. Today, its cultivation is limited to the mountains and valleys of Trento. The Nosiola vine produces wines of great finesse and longevity. Elisabetta's Nosiola also gains exceptional power and energy from biodynamics and ageing in amphorae. Give the Nosiola time and be patient: Only after sufficient aeration and at a serving temperature of about 13 degrees does this white wine reveal its full potential. SUPERIORE.DE
"Floral-laced peaches and apricots mix with an air of sweet smoke as the 2019 Nosiola Fontanasanta opens in the glass. This soothes with soft textures, while it also excites with a core of citrus-tinged acidity and salty minerals. The 2019 takes a turn toward the tropical spectrum through the finale, leaving hints of kiwi and young mango to linger. This is a very pretty and energetic vintage for the Fontanasanta Nosiola." Vinous
"Complex nose of toasted nuts and chocolate, but this is so much fresher than that sounds, thanks to the intense, wild-herb character that expands with aeration. Just a hint of funk. The stunning interplay of oxidative (mature) and reductive (fresh) character makes this so animating and fascinating. Very long, delicate finish." James Suckling

“Sgarzon” Teroldego Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT 2019 (BIO)
Sgarzon is a single vineyard, hardly more than a kilometre from Morei as the crow flies, but here the Noce has deposited more sand in the upper soil layers, the plot is more open and thus less protected from cold winds. The grapes ripen about a week later. Teroldego Sgarzon is fabulous, filigree and yet full of richness and energy from the attack to the final. The bouquet - an exciting mix of dark fruits, tobacco, flowers, liquorice, mint and minerals. Very clear, pure and clean on the palate. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2019 Teroldego Sgarzon takes its time opening in the glass, but it is worth the wait, as crushed ashen stones, black currants and exotic savory spices form its bouquet. As dark and brooding as it is aromatically, this is surprisingly energetic but also potent on the palate. A mix of zesty acids and tart wild berry fruits collide, creating tension and contrasts. Sweet tannins and minerals grip the senses through the long and dramatic finale, promising years of development. The 2019 Sgarzon is intense yet also playful. I can’t wait to revisit this vintage in a few years’ time." Vinous
"This red has an extreme mountain-wine personality that’s expressed through a ton of wild-herb and cranberry aromas, crisp acidity and a tightly wound body. Somehow the generous and slightly sappy tannins neatly fold into the wine’s sleek profile. Long, crisp and mineral finish." James Suckling

“Fuoripista” Pinot Grigio Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT 2020 (BIO)
Only 8,000 bottles of Fuoripista Pinot Grigio from the biodynamic vineyards of the Campo Rotaliano site are pressed by Elisabetta Foradori each year. The wine is fermented on the skins for eight months in tinajas (Spanish amphorae), where it slowly matures to reveal the delicate character of Pinot Grigio and the forgotten diversity of Trentino. SUPERIORE.DE
"If only I could bottle the bouquet of the 2020 Pinot Grigio Fuoripista in perfume form because it is absolutely irresistible. This is exotic, floral, tropical yet lifted and fresh, with an autumnal spiciness that fills the senses. The 2020 is soft-textured with lifting acidity and a pretty mix of ripe apples laced with ginger. It finishes completely fresh and leaves notes of young peach and mint behind. The Pinot Grigio Fuoripista is so incredibly pretty." Vinous

“Morei” Teroldego Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT 2020 (BIO)
The Teroldego from Foradori are all a great experience. Elisabetta presses highly interesting wines from the autochthonous grape variety from the foot of the Dolomites. And they do so purely organically and partly in amphorae.
Morei (dark in Trentino dialect) is an original red wine, true to the terroir, and at the same time of irresistible elegance and finesse. Warm, dense and mineral like the soil on which it grows. Morei is protected from the cold north winds by the nearby steep rock faces. The rock stores heat during the day, which radiates to the vineyard at night. The soil here is very stony, therefore relatively warm, dense, dark, mineral, like the eponymous wine Morei Teroldego. The average age of the vines (30 years) also contributes to its depth of character. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2020 Teroldego Morei is dark and inward, slowly blossoming in the glass with black cherries, balsam herbs, hints of cinnamon and clove. This is round in feel, yet with a reverberation of zesty acidity and inner spice. Depths of dark red fruits and minerals settle upon the senses, along with a coating of sweet tannin. Wow, the result is quite stunning, with a chiseled and almost-teeth-chattering feel through the finale. The 2020 is a very exciting vintage for Morei; a boost of warm vintage fruit adds depth to its usually-inward and structured persona. Enjoy a bottle now, but lose the rest for a few years in the cellar." Vinous

This is silky and pliant with a cool-toned feel, complemented by lifting acidity and ripe mineral-tinged red berries. It leaves the palate watering for more, yet with a subtle tug of fine tannins and lingering sour cherry fruits. I don’t see the 2020 Sgarzon as a long-distance runner, yet it’s geared to give masses of pleasure over the medium term." Vinous

“Granato” Teroldego Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT 2019 (BIO)
Granato convinces with its rich balsamic aroma of sour cherries and red currants. Extract-rich and gentle, powerful and precise on the palate. A wine that reflects the long-standing consistency and competence of this winemaker. SUPERIORE.DE
"Minty herbs and camphor give way to black currants and savory spices, as the 2019 Teroldego Granato blossoms in the glass. This is polished and elegant with a deep inner spiciness and depths of dark red fruits. Cooling acids and minerals help to lift the expression, holding the 2019’s power in reserve, and creating a youthful yet totally harmonious expression. While structured and built for the long term, I recommend checking in on at least one bottle to enjoy the intensity of its primary fruit. This is an undeniably classic Granato in the making. In 2019, the Foradori family used 30% whole-cluster fruit while fermenting the Granato." Vinous

"The dark and brooding 2018 Granato mixes wild berries with savory herbs, crushed rocks, brown spice and a hint of animal musk. This is a more lifted and vertical expression on the palate, with bright acids and mineral-tinged red and black fruits that seem to hover across the senses. The 2018 leaves a coating of grippy tannins, yet remains energetic and fresh, as inner violet tones and nuances of blackberries slowly fade. Only a short stay in the cellar should be required before the 2018 really starts to show its merit." Vinous
"Enormously deep and subtle wild-blackberry aromas with a thousand herbal nuances lead you into this concentrated and beautifully proportioned red that is so delightful and fascinating. This and the 12-month extended ageing in cylindrical amphorae give the site wine its terroir-typical, clear profile. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2016 Teroldego Morei Cilindrica is dark and inward, with masses of crushed black cherries, autumnal spices and wet slate forming its alluring bouquet. It’s silky-smooth yet cool-toned in feel, staining the palate with a concentration of dark red fruits, as a salty flourish and rosy inner florals collect toward the close. The 2016 leaves the palate classically dry, with sweet tannins and hints of licorice that linger on and on. What an absolutely gorgeous expression of Morei. “Sgarzon Cilindrica” Teroldego Vigneti delle Dolomiti (Riserva) IGT 2018 (BIO)
Sgarzon Cilindrica is a Demeter-certified Teroldego Cru in Riserva quality and a delicate wine that is at the same time full of richness and energy from the start to the final. The extended ageing of 12 months in cylindrical amphorae underlines the character of the site wine once again in an impressive way. Only 350 bottles of this "project wine" were bottled! SUPERIORE.DE

“Sgarzon” Teroldego Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT 2018 (BIO) · MAGNUM in Gift Box
Sgarzon is a single vineyard, little more than a kilometre from Morei as the crow flies, but here the Noce has deposited more sand in the upper soil layers, the plot is more open and so less protected from cold winds. The grapes ripen about a week later. Teroldego Sgarzon is fabulous, delicate yet full of richness and energy from the attack to the final. The bouquet - an exciting mix of dark fruits, tobacco, flowers, liquorice, mint and minerals. At the palate very clear, pure and clean. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2018 Foradori Teroldego Sgarzon is dark and brooding in the glass, as if black ashen stones had been crushed, and within them was a mix of wild berry, currants, tobacco and moist earth. However, there’s a lift and purity to its fruit, as the wine coasts across a mix of zesty acids and minerals, coming across as energetic, contrasted by a twang of sour cranberry. A hint of grippy tannin lingers along with tart primary fruits, leading me to believe that a few years in the cellar will reveal even further depths. This wine was tasted over the course of two days, and it only got better the longer it was opened." Vinous
"From a vineyard with gravel and sandy soils, Foradori's 2018 Teroldego Sgarzon is floral and fruity with dried cherry, raspberry and wild rose. The wine is fermented in clay amphorae on the skins, and this adds a point of extra structure and determination. But the mouthfeel is lovely really, leaving a silky and polished impression." Robert Parker
"Blackcurrants, wild raspberries, cloves, dried violets and lavender with some ink. It’s medium-bodied with silky tannins and incredible depth of fresh and crushed berries, evolving into dried thyme, lavender and crushed shells. Very long finish. Firmness and minerality to this." James Suckling

“Fontanasanta” Nosiola Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT 2019 (BIO) · MAGNUM in Gift Box

“Morei” Teroldego Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT 2019 (BIO) · MAGNUM in Gift Box
"Incredibly deep wild-berry nose that has just a whiff of funk, but this also gives the wine enormous energy. Sleek, but densely concentrated with a stunning interplay of fruit and fine tannin, the dangerously lively acidity whipping this into a mineral and herbal frenzy at the breathtaking, long finish." James Suckling

"The 2020 Teroldego Sgarzon is remarkably pretty and finessed with crushed strawberries, roses and sweet smoke.

The complex red drops of Elisabetta Foradori impressively reflect the philosophy of the highly respected winemaker. They combine typical regional grape varieties with the specific character of the vineyards and biodynamics. As unbending as she is experienced, the strong-willed landowner has never been satisfied with the favourable growing conditions of the Trentino. Rather, she has tirelessly studied and experimented with new methods in her vineyards and cellars that deviate significantly from the usual and support the rhythm of nature. Elisabetta Foradori, the rare Teroldego grape variety, native only to Trentino, has clearly become the most important grape variety in the vineyard and has helped to achieve international recognition.
As different as she works, as different is her retreat. Quiet and consistent. Her son Emilio Zierock has been responsible for vineyards and cellars since 2012. It was not clear for a long time that he would slip into the big shoes of his famous mother, but he first studied philosophy in Germany. Not quite inappropriate, because the management "FAVO - Foradori+Animali+Viticultura+Ortaggi" also a kind of philosophy. "We want to produce more than just wine. In this sense we try to close the cycle: human, animal and plant." Land in Brentonico (behind Monte Baldo in the south of Trentino) has already been bought, where the family wants to realize this vision together. Emilio and his brother Theo will take care of the winery in the future. Elisabetta Foradori takes care of the new start-ups: cows, cheese and vegetable cultivation, as well as the Ampeleia vineyard in the Maremma, which she also runs very successfully with a friend. The wines from this biodynamically cultivated winery are naturally to be found in our Tuscany programme (Maremma).
Surrounded by ancient stone walls, the Foradori Winery, certified by ICEA and Demeter since 2009, is located in the picturesque small municipality of Mezzolombardo. After the early death of her father, the exceptional Trentino winemaker took over her parents' vineyard at a young age. It prevailed despite the Cabernet wave, which was high at that time, and opted for the local tradition. The wonderful Teroldego ripens between rocky walls on lean, stony alluvial soils of the Campo Rotaliano in high plant density with low yields per hectare. For the white wines Nosiola and Manzoni Bianco, the Foradori family has leased plots in the hills northeast of the city of Trento.
Despite many years of experience and great success, the fashion trends are categorically rejecting "Grande Dame of the wines of Trentino" (Gambero Rosso) and her son Emilio are constantly refining the wines. Elisabetta Foradori decided years ago to ferment wines from the Morei, Sgarzon and Fontanasanta sites separately in clay vessels from Spain. Emilio consistently goes one step further. He eliminated practically all barriques and built his own cellar only for these amphorae. The heart of the old vaulted cellar are large wooden barrels made of various types of wood and from various renowned coopers, as well as a few steel tanks and concrete cisterns. In this way Emilio Zierock can choose for each vintage and for each individual vineyard the vessel in which he will allow the best maturation of the wine without having to intervene. The exchange went on quietly and quietly. And continues in the new - actually ancient - philosophy of the cycle of nature. Cross-generational. SUPERIORE.DE
