“Leon” Durella Metodo Classico VSQ dosaggio zero
The Durella grapes for this sparkling wine produced using the Champagne method come from the volcanic soils of the Agno Valley. Brilliant, light straw yellow in colour with a fine, persistent perlage. Salty, fruity notes of citrus fruit and quince on the nose. Powerful and mouth-filling on the palate, lively with striking acidity and a wonderful, bone-dry finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Energetic and vibrant from the moment the cork pops, this wine opens with citrus, stone fruit and fresh lily aromas. Bright, yet with a cream texture from the elegant perlage that helps the citrus oil, white peach and subtle mineral notes lift on the palate." Wine Enthusiast
"A grape variety with high acidity and optimum ripeness for such a creamy, sparkling and non-dosed sparkling wine. Also very good. Accents of vanilla apples and lemon blossom are brought to a good length by a persistent perlage and juicy acidity." James Suckling
"The Metodo Classico Durella Leon is airy and fresh with a spicy burst of ground ginger that fades into young peach and white smoke. It is savoury and mineral, with a silky bead of fine bubbles and salty fruit that slowly saturates. Notes of lime zest meet sour melon and the finish is long and powerful." Vinous

“Masari” Rosso Veneto IGT 2017 (BIO)
Masari's flagship presents itself in deep, dense garnet red. Ripe blackberry and cassis on the nose, underpinned by bitter cocoa and ripe cherries, light leather spice and liquorice. Full and balanced on the palate, spreads slowly but multilayered over the tongue, then convinces with beautiful and lasting pressure, long, salty and simply beautiful. SUPERIORE.DE
"Sparkling, rich ruby with a fine garnet shimmer. Intense nose with fine spices, cardamom and bay leaf, then rich blackberry, plum, cedar in the background. Hearty and gripping on the palate, unfolds with grippy tannin, salty, firm pressure on the final." Falstaff

There are wine regions that are just waiting to be discovered. The Masari winery is located at an altitude of 380 metres in the beautiful hills of the Val d'Agno, the easternmost valley between Verona and Vicenza. Massimo Dal Lago and Arianna Tessari cultivate their vines here directly on the foothills of the Small Dolomites. This is an agriculturally untouched corner of Veneto with microclimatic conditions that are made for winegrowing.
While Arianna grew up in a winemaking family in the Soave Classico zone (Suavia), her husband Massimo - a talented Oenologist - was born in Val d'Agno. In 1998, they decided to explore the vineyards of the valley in order to finally establish their own winery here. The fascinating growing area is crossed from north to south by the river of the same name, which forms the border between two geologically very different areas.
The left side of the valley is characterised by white limestone soils with high clay content. An ideal breeding ground for red grape varieties such as Merlot, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon to create wonderfully velvety and full-bodied wines. The soil on the right side of the Agno valley, on the other hand, is of volcanic origin. The dark grey subsoil is rich in basalt and tufa, which give the wines an impressive freshness and an unmistakable minerality.
Masari's range is undoubtedly characterised by these contrasting areas: The grapes for the velvety red wines San Lorenzo, Montepulgo and Masari are harvested in the calcareous vineyards, while the fresh Agnobianco, the Metodo Classico Leon, the two reds Costa Nera and San Martino, as well as the two delicious sweet wines Doro and Antico Pasquale come from the vineyards located on the volcanic side.
Surrounded by green forests and meadows, Masari's vines grow with olive trees on narrow terraces bordered by dry stone walls. In order to preserve the pristine nature of the Agno Valley, Arianna and Massimo have not used synthetic fertilisers and herbicides since the beginning. In order to guarantee sustainable top quality, Masari intervenes as little as possible in the natural processes in the vineyard and cellar.
Arianna and Massimo's range is proof that elaborate organic cultivation pays off. Their organic wines excited us after the first glass and the discovery of the pristine Val d'Agno is definitely an enrichment for the entire wine world. SUPERIORE.DE
