“Torrette” Rosso Valle d’Aosta Superiore DOP 2017
Well-proportioned, highly elegant red wine with a fresh bouquet reminiscent of raspberries, wild strawberries and peppers. On the palate a very interesting fruit and silky tannins on the finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Dark red. Very ripe aromas of red cherry, underbrush, cloves and sweet spices. Then clean, fresh and well balanced, revealing a juicy flavor of licorice and flinty red cherry on the aftertaste. Closes clean and long, with a strong mineral quality. A blend of 70% Petit Rouge and 30% other local grape varieties, made from the 30-year-old vines of the Conces vineyard; 100% stainless steel." Vinous
"Beautiful, pure raspberries here, as well as hibiscus, fruit tea, citrus and rhubarb. This is a wine all about transparency, not power. Driven acidity highlights colorful berries, which flit between fine layers of silky tannins and deeper depressions of flavorful, stoney alleys. A pretty, ornately textured wine with salty undertones throughout." James Suckling

“Fleur Vigna Devin Ros” Petite Arvine Valle d’Aosta DOP 2018
The second white top wine of the family business and pure Petite Arvine from a single vineyard: Bright light yellow with an elegant, floral-mineral bouquet and notes of ripe apples and apricots. Clear, balanced taste, refined body and harmonious finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright straw-yellow. Captivating aromas of lemon drop, yellow apple, balsamic oils, honeysuckle and anise. The palate offers lovely purity of fruit and a pliant texture, with luscious flavors of ripe orchard fruit and minty herbs. Nicely floral on the long finish. The high acidity showcases why Les Cretes decided to try their hand at making a brand-new sparkling wine with the Petite Arvine grape. This wine is made from 12-year-old vines planted near Arnad-Montjovet and is aged in stainless steel only." Vinous

The vineyard in Aymavilles in the Valle d'Aosta, situated picturesquely near Mont Blanc and surrounded on three sides by the Italian, French and Swiss Alps, looks back on a two centuries old winemaking tradition. Les Crêtes has long since conquered a firm place in the Italian wine elite. Today the company is managed by Costantino Charrère, President of the Association of Independent Italian Winegrowers, his wife Imelda and their daughters Eleonora and Elena. The wine house was founded in the autonomous region with special status on the initiative of Costantino, whose family has been active in food production for five generations as owners of an old water mill from the 18th century and the traditional winery Via Moulins. Today the mill is used for agritourism.
The symbol of the estate is the Côteau la Tour tower, built in the 16th century and towering over the surrounding vineyards. The winery has recently been extended with a new barrel cellar and an attractive visitor area. The flagship of the winery, which has always distinguished itself through top performance and innovation, is the always wonderful, harmonious and balanced Chardonnay Cuvée Bois, which has been praising wine critics for many years.
Already in 1955, the Charrère family had planted the first grapes on an area of two hectares to produce quality wines. Today, the estate is the largest private winery in the Valle d'Aosta, with a cultivated area of 25 hectares. The vineyards, between 600 and 1,000 metres high and extending over the six municipalities of Saint-Pierre, Aymavilles, Gressan, Sarre, Aosta and Saint-Christophe, are home to Petite Arvine, Petit Rouge, Fumin, Mayolet and Cornalin grapes, as well as the international Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Syrah and Muscat varieties. The average plant density is 7,500 vines per hectare. The rocky soils are sandy and calcareous. The harvest time in Aosta Valley often does not begin until late autumn. SUPERIORE.DE
"Constantino Charrère, heir to a two centuries old winemaking tradition, was able to establish his business among the Italian wine elite. But Constantino and his wife Imelda not only direct this first-class winery, behind Les Crêtes with its magnificent, modern cellar, there is also an idea, a concept of how to face nature and the world of wine that not only makes its owner the head of a movement, but also the president of the Association of Independent Winegrowers. The parents are fully supported by their daughters Eleonora and Elena, who grew up between the smells of blooming vineyards and the gurgling must in the cellar."Gambero Rosso 2014
