    • Franciacorta Pas Operé DOCG 2012 Extra Brut

Franciacorta Pas Operé DOCG 2012 Extra Brut

Bellavista's Pas Operé enchants with its elegant peach aroma and fine tangerine nuances. Elegant and balanced on the palate with lively acidity and good minerality. An extraordinary Franciacorta of all-encompassing complexity. SUPERIORE.DE

"An aromatic note of marzipan wafts from the glass of this balanced version, with a refined mousse and well-cut, snappy acidity framing rich flavors of ripe Gala apple, chalk, biscuit and lemon zest." Wine Spectator

"From a hot and dry vintage, the 2012 Franciacorta Pas Operé Extra Brut is a blend of two-thirds Chardonnay and one-third Pinot Nero. Fruit is rigorously selected only from vines aged 30 years old or more, planted with southeast-facing exposures. Because of the vintage conditions, I pick up on thick, full-bodied aromas of ripe peach, poached pear and honey. There is a sweet floral component to the sparkling wine that reminds me of almond blossom or honeysuckle. This wine comes close to feeling heavy and sticky, but ultimately its natural acidity kicks in to better balance the overall mouthfeel." Robert Parker

"A deep and complex, maturing sparkling wine with a delicate smoky note. Plenty of candied lemon and enormous raciness and drive on the palate, yet there is nothing demanding about this great spumante at all." James Suckling

    • Franciacorta Rosé DOCG 2014 Brut

      Franciacorta Rosé DOCG 2014 Brut

Pinot Nero and Chardonnay give this exceptional Franciacorta a delicate salmon red with an orange touch. In the nose strawberry fruit, a hint of black currant and fine floral nuances. Freshly structured on the palate, with lively mousseux and a delicate red berry aroma underlaid with citrus. A light-footed character with elegance, character and grace until the finish. SUPERIORE.DE

    • Franciacorta Satèn DOCG 2014 Brut

      Franciacorta Satèn DOCG 2014 Brut

Smells finely yeasty and opulent of tropical fruits. Excellent personality, elegant, full-bodied and with a great balance between fruity softness and structure. Oenologist Mattia Vezzola and Bellavista also set standards with their Satèn. SUPERIORE.DE

"A pure expression of Chardonnay, the 2014 Franciacorta Brut Satèn is a downplayed and extremely delicate sparkling wine. The finessed and subtle nature of the wine is further reinforced by the cool and moist characteristics of the 2014 vintage (that generally resulted in thinner, lighter wines). This expression is aged in a combination of steel and barrique. Once the cuvée is established, the wine ages in bottle for four years. This results in a delicate bouquet that is accented by candied lemon, almond, grapefruit and freshly baked bread." Robert Parker

"Very fine and complex candied-citrus aromas, the creaminess from yeast contact beautifully matched with the elegance from the base wine, to create a silky whole that glides effortlessly over your palate." James Suckling

    About the winemakers
    Bellavista
    Lombardy
    Bellavista

The wine lover Vittorio Moretti aims to express the special character of his native Franciacorta in sparkling and still wines. Today, the Bellavista winery in Lombardy, world-famous above all for its spumanti, is at the head of Terra Moretti, the family holding managed by the successful entrepreneur and his daughter Francesca. Other important agricultural companies in Lombardy and Tuscany belong to the group. With its brilliant sparkling wines, Bellavista is one of the great role models of the up-and-coming region. The Hotel L is located in Erbusco between vines and cypresses.'Albereta Relay & Châteaux.

All the grapes used for the production of the sparkling wines are produced using the classic method of bottle fermentation, without exception, from our own vineyards, which are spread over ten municipalities of Franciacorta and which are cultivated with great care. The sensitive General Manager Mattia Vezzola, elected Oenologist of the Year by the Wine Guide Gambero Rossoin 2008, has put all his energy into the work in the vineyard and cellar since 1981. His philosophy, combined with strict handwork, gentle pressing of the grapes and long ageing in small woods, gives the multiple award-winning Franciacorta cuvées from Bellavista, distinguished by their strength and character, a high recognition value. The style of Bellavista's drops, bottled every year in well over a million bottles, is refined, elegant and complex.

In the Lombard wine-growing estate with a view of the Lago d'Iseo works in harmony with nature. Fidelity to the terroir is another important feature. Vezzola only allows the grapes to be harvested when they are optimally ripe. Most of the berries are not fermented in steel tanks but in barriques to give the wines longevity and structure. The fullness of the palate is characteristic of Bellavista wines, which age in underground galleries for at least four years before being sold. The noblest plants can even mature for seven years.

Vittorio Moretti, once a contractor in Lombardy, had inherited several hectares of vineyards from his grandfather. He named his first vineyard after the hill on which the parcels were located: Bellavista. The charismatic winegrower was one of the first to invest in Franciacorta on a large scale in the seventies. Today, the melodious estate name is associated with around 190 hectares of vineyards, the grapes of which are bottled in well over a million bottles every year. SUPERIORE.DE

"The Bellavista spumanti are among the best that Franciacorta has to offer.“ The gourmet
