“Bianco di Orma” Vermentino Toscana IGT 2020
Bright straw yellow. In the bouquet beguiling scent of fresh citrus and floral notes, plus some light fruit. Taut on the palate with a nice acid structure, then crisp fruit and an animating interplay of freshness and melting, very balanced and of great elegance and finesse. SUPERIORE.DE
"Rich shiny straw yellow with shimmering accents. Fine scent of pickled Williams pear, juicy apple, cherry blossoms, some freshly squeezed lemon. Pleasant palate entry, at first delicately melting, penetrated by gripping acidity, lively play, comes with clear fruit in the finish." Falstaff
"A fruity white with sliced apples, fresh pears, peaches and lemons on the nose. It's medium-bodied with tangy acidity and a creamy texture. Juicy, fresh finish." James Suckling

“Orma” Toscana Rosso IGT 2019
Deep ruby red, intense aroma of dark fruit underpinned with delicate toasted aromas. Complex and full-bodied on the palate, with balsamic notes, perfectly integrated tannins and a finely balanced fruity-spicy finish. An intense wine that also doesn't want to be a lightweight and that plays off its power perfectly. SUPERIORE.DE
"Shiny, rich ruby-violet. Fresh and appealing nose, of juicy red and blue currants, dark cherry, tobacco in the background. Lining the palate richly, lots of fine-meshed tannin accompanies the wine throughout, very precise and elegant, firm pressure on the final." Falstaff
"This is a tight and powerful Orma with solid tannins that beautifully frame the fruit in the wine. Full-bodied and focused with intense structure and fruit character. Perhaps the best Orma ever. Give this four or five years to open. Try after 2025." James Suckling

Deep ruby red, intense aroma of dark fruit underlaid with delicate toasty aromas. At the palate complex and full-bodied, stoffig, with balsamic notes, perfectly integrated tannins and a finely balanced fruity-spicy finish. An intense wine, which also does not want to be a lightweight and which plays its strength perfectly. SUPERIORE.DE
"Sparkling, intense ruby with purple glints. Opens with notes of licorice and dried tomatoes, then lovely currant. Very good presence on the palate, showing tension and fresh fruit, fine-meshed tannin, lots of dark berry juice on the final." Falstaff
"This wine is built on solid foundations and shows a rich vinous footprint. The fruit is black and concentrated, as is to be expected of a wine of this ambition, and it sits with a dark and almost impenetrable appearance in the glass. Orma shows a careful balance between fruit and oak spice, and both are calibrated to achieve high sensorial impact and intensity. If you're looking for the classic Tuscan blended red with sunshine and power, this release is for you." Robert Parker
"Subtle currant, light sandalwood and some cherry aromas. Full-bodied, yet fine-tuned and polished with tannins that melt beautifully into the wine. Long and focused. Beauty and balance to this." James Suckling

If all the forces in a winery are concentrated in a single fine drop, it should already meet the highest quality requirements. The Podere Orma with its wine of the same name fully lives up to this claim. After the fashion entrepreneur Antonio Moretti had already proved with his Tenuta Sette Ponti near Arezzo in the Chianti area that he could run a wine company with a lot of skill and great determination, he created a highly respected branch office with the establishment in Castagneto Carducci in Bolgheri. Despite the still too small bottle production in view of the strong demand, the estate has long since secured a leading position among the 50 wineries in the cultivation zone. In addition to the head office and the branch in Bolgheri, the busy Moretti in Tuscany, who has not been active in the wine business for very long, owns Poggio al Lupo (Maremma), another wine house and Feudo Maccari, a company in Sicily.
Orma means footprint and is supposed to embody the clearly defined requirements of independence and quality with which Moretti, supported by an international team of experts, also competed in the Bolgheri. This wine, made from Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, is without a doubt already one of the modern classics in the late honoured growing zone. As an immediate neighbour of the Tenuta dell' Ornellaia, the passionate winemaker, has access to an almost identical terroir and thus also has a starting position bordering on perfection, which can be tasted in the glass. The Supertoscan Orma is pure power and elegance. It is therefore not surprising that the great plant gets almost every year highest ratings by Robert Parker, Gambero Rosso& Co. may be safe.
The Podere Orma vineyard is situated not far from the sea on deep gravel and clay soils with little sand, an excellent subsoil in areas with a warm climate. The vines face southwest. The nearby Thyrrenian Sea compensates for high temperature differences and provides a pleasant summer or mild winter climate. The vines are on average ten years old. The plots are densely planted with around 7,000 vines per hectare.
We are convinced that the Podere Orma will be a great success in the future and hope that more bottles of this great wine will soon be on the market. SUPERIORE.DE
"Delicate and pleasurable, the Orma has quickly developed into an exemplary expression in its field. Not a Bolgheri in the sense of denomination, but a real Bolgheri wine in terms of territorial character and style."Gambero Rosso
