Moscato d’Asti DOCG 2022
Golden yellow with greenish reflections and the sweet scent of fresh fruit. These wonderfully fruity aromas also prevail in the taste, along with the wonderful mousse and the fine typical nutmeg spice in the finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"A fragrance like that of a good feather wine. In any case, very light and juicy. There is a hint of white pepper. The perlage is discreet but there, a successful surprise, it supports the wine on the palate. There it also provides a good structure. On the tongue, it seems like a light wine, despite its sweetness. The aromas here are reminiscent of orange blossom and pineapple sweets. Playful, flattering, but also with a certain pretension. Bravo!" Vinum

"Palish ruby. A captivating, ripe sweet raspberry nose with sour cranberry notes. Raspberry and cranberry on the palate. Abundance of elegant fruit but still youthful and with fantastic gripping, ripe tannins." Jancis Robinson
"The 2019 Barbaresco Bric Turot is the deepest and most potent of the three Barbarescos in the Prunotto range. Black cherry, graphite, spice, leather, menthol and smoke add to an impression of gravitas. The 2019 needs time to soften." Vinous
"Dark strawberries with lots of dried flowers, sandalwood and stone. Medium-bodied with very fine tannins and a fresh, complex finish. Firm and creamy at the end. Better in 2024 and onwards, but already beautiful." James Suckling
"An elegant, vibrant red, with cherry and strawberry flavors shaded by rose, licorice and spice. This is all about balance and finesse, with a long, complex and mouthwatering aftertaste." Wine Spectator

Bric Turot is a top Barbaresco vineyard. From this five-hectare vineyard comes the sensationally fruity Nebbiolo, which seduces with its wonderful blackberry and cherry aroma. Elegant and powerful, the taste structure lingers very long. SUPERIORE.DE
"One of the historic wines of Prunotto, owned by Marchesi Antinor (with a vineyard outside Alba), this is a lean and streamlined expression with mild aromas of dried cherries and red currants. The bouquet is rather simple, although there are some spices and savoury notes that give it depth." Wine Advocate
"Crisp and fruity with very fine tannins and bright raspberry, cherry and spice aromas and flavours. You want to drink it immediately, but it should age well. Citrus notes on the finish." James Suckling
"Full of restraint, liquorice, dill, blood orange, intensely floral, with lively fruit like strawberry and orange. It has a lot of volume. Lively freshness to the finish and firm, muscular tannins that are youthful, dusty yet ripe. A graceful classic for the long haul. Bric Turot is a single vineyard with southeast and southwest exposure in the Pertinace area." Decanter

Barolo Bussia DOCG 2018
The Barolo Bussia DOCG comes from the vineyard of the same name in the shape of an amphitheatre in the Bussia Monforte d'Alba area. This historic wine was first made by Prunotto in 1961 as a single-vineyard wine. The balance and complexity of the Nebbiolo grapes are enhanced by the different south to south-west exposures of the vineyard and the traditional ageing in large barrels.
A great wine that combines the power of Barolo with the finesse of the Monforte terroir. A radiant ruby red with garnet reflections, the bouquet is intensely fruity with small red berries and a delicate hint of vanilla. The juicy, harmonious taste is full of character and continues well into the finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Light red; complex, spicy, truffle, fruity; very round attack, fine, then depth and fine tannin, nice length, pleases very much." (JLF) Merum
"Scarcely medium ruby red. A little leafy with hints of garden herbs, but otherwise quite closed on the nose. Fresh, juicy cherry fruit on the palate with a layer of sandy tannins that play up a bit on the finish. While the tannins are quite demanding at the moment, the juicy fruit lingers on the finish." Jancis Robinson
"Fragrant, with aromas of flowers, berries, cherries, cut hay and eucalyptus, underpinned by an open profile. Firms up but remains compact and lean overall. Shows fine balance and length." Wine Spectator
"So perfumed and beautiful on the nose with juice, roses and plums, followed by a medium body with very fine tannins and a long creamy finish. Delicious to drink now, but it will get even better with age." James Suckling
"The 2018 Barolo Bussia is smooth, elegant and silky. Crushed. Flowers, spices, mint, cinnamon, sweet red cherries and aniseed meld together beautifully in the glass. The 2018 is light on its feet and has tremendous depth, it has so much to offer. Sweet floral notes lift the finish beautifully." Vinous
"Prunotto is one of the most classic names of Barolo and Bussia. Today, under the direction of Antinori, the winemaking is more precise and somewhat more modern in style. The nose is dominated by dried cherry, complemented by a rhubarb note combined with sweet cinnamon spice. The acidity carries the fruit across the palate, with velvety, light and super-ripe tannins that give the wine a particularly graceful style for a Bussia." Decanter

Barolo “Vigna Colonnello” Bussia Riserva DOCG 2015
Barolo Riserva Bussia Vigna Colonnello shows its noble lineage in a delicate and restrained way. The bouquet is very complex with a long succession of fascinating aromas ranging from pressed flowers to wild berries and exotic spices. These elements are brought together with extreme precision. In the mouth, the wine shows a hint of acidity, but it also moves across the palate with silky intensity and firm texture. Gentle, infinitely long finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Lots of purple flowers on the nose, then a burst of bright red fruit, such as wild strawberries, raspberries and orange notes on the palate, together with a hint of spicy vanilla. Medium to full body with fine, still lightly firm tannins. Elegant feel. Very good now, but will improve with another year in bottle." James Suckling
"The 2015 Barolo Riserva Bussia Vigna Colonnello is a wild, eccentric wine. The use of whole clusters lends quite a bit of savory intensity. Sage, tobacco, holiday spicecake, cedar, blood orange and macerated cherry all develop with a bit of aeration. The tannins just need to soften. If they do this could be a very intriguing wine, but slight hints of oxidation make it hard to understand the direction the 2017 is headed in. No matter what, the Colonnello is a pretty exotic Barolo with a lot of character." Vinous

"Sparkling ruby red. Open-hearted nose of ripe cherries, fresh roses, a pinch of wild strawberries, floral nuances again in the reverberation. On the palate with polished, great fruit sweetness, spreads out juicy and clear, with pressure, delicate and yet present, elegant and long." Falstaff
"Prunotto’s 2016 Barolo Bussia is an attractive wine. Crushed flowers, sweet red berry fruit, mint, pine and cinnamon lend aromatic brilliance to an understated, classy Barolo that speaks to finesse more than anything else. This is an especially airy style, but there is plenty of resonance to the 2016. The Bussia is very pretty in 2016. Drink it over the next 15-20 years." Vinous
"Really extracted aromas of ripe strawberries with some cedar and tea undertones, following through to a medium body with round, creamy tannins and a wonderful finish of ripe strawberries and citrus peel, as well as a hint of honey. Subtle and refined. Better after 2022." James Suckling
"Bright with cherry, berry, mint, leather and tar aromas and flavors, this red possesses a matching structure for balance and poise. Well put together at this young stage, its harmony and length bodes well for the future." Wine Spectator
"Woodland berry, rose, camphor and a whiff of tobacco shape the fragrant nose. It's focused and elegantly structured, presenting juicy Marasca cherry, orange zest, licorice and clove set against bright acidity and taut, refined tannins." Wine Enthusiast

The Antinoris rightly boast of having created the "Supertuscans" in the 1970s, and from then on they unswervingly pursued their quest for more unique wines in the world. Their quest led them, among others, to the Prunotto winery, which, thanks to its amazing wine quality, is one of the top addresses in the Italian wine world and which, since its founding in 1904, has transformed itself from a cellar cooperative to a first-class top wine estate.
The company's glittering future was secured in 1923 primarily by its namesake Alfredo Prunotto, when he on his own initiative rescued the cooperative, which had fallen into financial difficulties, from its crisis. The young Alfredo thus developed from a modest secretary into a talented winemaker whose fascinating top wines were exported from the small town of Alba as far as Mar del Plata in Argentina and to the USA within a very short time.
In the mid-1950s, he then handed over the helm to his friend and wine expert Beppe Colla, who became famous as the "father of Barolo single-vineyard wines". Under Colla's wing, the characterful cru wines from the Prunotto house began to express the most prestigious growing zones of Piedmont. So even then, the winery was already producing multi-layered Barolo and Barbera d'Alba wines from the renowned Bussia single-vineyard site and the Pian Romualdo vineyards in Monforte d'Alba, where today the entire top class of Piedmont would be happy to be represented.
The separate bottling of the best growing areas of the Langhe led to qualitatively superior results, which made the name Prunotto even better known in the wine world. This level soon caught the interest of the Antinoris and reflected what the noble family had been looking for since the 1970s. In 1994, they officially took over the estate and maintained Colla's high standards, bringing out the elegant character of the local grape varieties.
So today, under the Tuscan leadership of Albiera Antinori, a perfect balance between innovation and tradition prevails in the Prunotto house, with which the vineyards in Monferrato and the picturesque Langhe hills are cultivated. In addition to great Barolo, the magnificent Barbera d'Asti Costamiole and precious Barbaresco vintages from the single vineyard Bric Turot are also produced here. Other classics such as Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto also demonstrate their great class. Finally, the winery's high-ranking repertoire is completed by the aromatic Roero Arneis and Moscato d'Asti, and any wine lover with a particular fondness for Piedmont will undoubtedly be delighted by the name Prunotto.
"Prunotto represents, in the general imagination of many wine lovers, one of the most historic and reliable brands of winemaking in Piedmont." Gambero Rosso
