“Il Fresco” Prosecco Spumante Rosé Millesimato DOC 2020 brut
Prosecco officially turns pink: The newly approved Prosecco DOC Rosé is made by blending the main variety Glera with at least 10 to a maximum of 15 per cent Pinot Nero, the only red variety permitted in the regulations since 2020. The sparkling process must last at least two months, twice as long as for white Prosecco DOC.
The first edition of the Prosecco Il Fresco Rosé Millesimato presents itself in a delicate salmon pink and smells of flowers and raspberries with delicate, spicy hints. At the same time, it is berry-fresh with very discreet tannins on the palate and has clear contours and an extremely pleasant perlage. SUPERIORE.DE
"Light old pink, fine perlage. Intense and appealing nose of strawberry and pomegranate, red currant in the background. Round and supple on the nose, then a little wide-meshed at the back." Falstaff

“Miché" Rosato Metodo Ancestrale Frizzante s.a. secco
A rosé made from Sangiovese according to the classic Pet-Nat method, harvested in the last half of August and whose carbonic acid is created unplanned by the almost complete fermentation of the sugar in the bottle. A sparkling wine with a yeast deposit that has played its way into the hearts of "natural wine" fans in a fresh and unconventional way. Ideal for aperitifs and light summer dishes. “RADICE” Lambrusco di Sorbara DOC 2021 secco
Out with the clichés, in with the surprise! The Paltrinieris' most famous Lambrusco growth will also fill every connoisseur with joy. Radice is produced using the Pét Nat method (Metodo Ancestrale) and therefore undergoes a second fermentation on its own yeast after bottling. This naturally cloudy, dry Frizzante already convinces in the bouquet with notes of rhubarb, a fresh citrus note and some bread. The persistent, fine perlage and its drinky nature make it a racy companion to hearty, spicy antipasti, light meat dishes or simply an upbeat celebration surrounded by nature and happy people. “LECLISSE” Lambrusco di Sorbara DOC 2020 secco
A real Lambrusco Cru from the 15 ha vineyard "Vigna del Cristo", which received a 2nd fermentation according to the Charmat method for 3 months in pressure tanks. Salmon pink. Smells of pink grapefruit and subtle raspberry. Perky, fresh, lively and dry as dust on the palate - perfect for friends of "zero dosage". Very fine perlage, which also lasts a long time. Lingers long with fine tart fruit. Ideal as an aperitif, with mussels, oysters and cold fish starters. SUPERIORE.DE
"Brilliant old pink. On the nose of orange blossom, lemon juice and a hint of wet stone, reverberating with early ripe red currants. On the palate straightforward, juicy, clear, with well-integrated perlage, has fine fruit melt and yet remains bone dry, clean and long on the final, ends on citrus, has plenty of pressure." Falstaff
"The 2020 Lambrusco di Sorbara Leclisse is lifted and floral with nuances of strawberry, savory spice and incense. Its silken bubbles are quickly firmed up by a mix of salty minerals and acids, as citrus-tinged orchard fruits add further tension through the medium-length finale. The Leclisse is produced by the Charmat method, and it spends three months resting on the lees prior to bottling." Vinous

“Rimosso” Vino Frizzante Lambrusco di Sorbara DOC 2020 secco
The first alcoholic fermentation of the must takes place in steel vats on the fine lees at a controlled temperature and after a waiting period of at least six months, the wine is bottled. The bottles remain at a constant temperature of 12°C so that the wine can undergo its second fermentation and mature on its own yeasts, which remain as a light sediment (beware, it is not filtered!) at the bottom of the bottle.
Animating cherry red with violet reflections and a yeasty cloudiness that comes from the lack of filtration. Surprisingly, the cheeky nose of wild strawberry and redcurrant, very fresh and accessible. On the palate, vibrant with lots of raspberry and traces of rhubarb, the exciting play is flanked by delicate yeast tones and a wonderfully present acidity and ensures an impressive race and class that only the Lambrusco grandmaster Christian Bellei can conjure up in the bottle! “Vigna Ochera” Prosecco Spumante di Valdobbiadene Superiore Rive di Rolle DOCG (2020) Dry
Vigna Ochera is the new name for the popular Vigne dei Piai and is a fantastic Prosecco Spumante di Valdobbiadene Superiore from the Rive di Rolle vineyard. Pleasantly soft, fine bubbling, with a fresh apple scent and invigorating taste. SUPERIORE.DE
"Rich shimmering greenish yellow. Distinctive aroma of white flowers, lime and white roses, then quince and fresh butter. Pleasant on the tongue, juicy, clear, finely integrated perlage, lively in the drink, balanced in the attack and course with a great fruit melt in the finish." Falstaff
"Loads to like here, from the immediate minty freshness of the apple and citrus fruit on the nose, to the fresh cream that floods the palate. The bubbles froth away gently as they carry the sweet apple and almond flavors on a long, balanced and tasty finish. Lip-licking saltiness is the parting gesture. This is super Prosecco." James Suckling
"The 2020 Dry Vigna Ochera Rive di Rolle takes its time to fully blossom, but it is worth waiting for. A beguiling bouquet of smoky dried apricot, yellow flowers, exotic curries and crushed rocks evolves in the glass. This impresses further with a blend of silken bubbles and salty minerals all motivated by vibrant acidity, as ripe orchard fruits settle upon the senses. A pleasant inner sweetness lingers, contrasting the Vigna Ochera’s residual tension quite nicely, as this tapers off long yet incredibly fresh. This is a simply stunning expression of Dry Valdobbiadene Prosecco." Vinous

As always, let's just talk about the good drops, because you'll find them with us. Prosecco from Conegliano, Valdobbiadene or even from the high terraces of Cartizze are absolute handmade quality sparkling wines, fantastically good. There they are called Superiore, and if they come from small slopes (single plies), then they get the addition Rive and the name of the ply.
SPARKLING WINE FROM ITALY.
Many Italian sparkling wines also come onto the market as Metodo Classico, i.e. in traditional bottle fermentation as in Champagne, and only after a few years of maturity.
Trento is not only a beautiful city in Trentino, but also stands as Trento DOC for the regionally protected designation for a number of the finest Italian sparkling wines. From Ferrari, for example, the Perlé is used to sell products that have already been able to compete with large champagnes several times in blind tastings.
Around the Lago d'Iseo you climb the Italian sparkling wine Olympus of Franciacorta. Of course, every producer is proud when a visitor says that his Franciacorta is just as good as his famous French colleague. But the style, the minerality, the fruitiness (as Satèn, Brut, Extra Brut or dust-dry as Zero Dosage), the assemblage of the vintages and grape varieties and last but not least the terroir are a little different, and that's a good thing.
PROSECCO FROM ITALY - ONE OF THE MOST POPULAR SPARKLING WINES.
In addition to these most important sparkling wine regions, there are small, fine producers almost everywhere in Italy who make excellent Frizzante or Spumante from local and autochthonous grape varieties. In Piedmont, Nascetta and Favorita are being spangled and the finest experiments are being tried. In Lombardy (especially in Oltrepo Pavese) there are the sparkling representatives, but also in southern Italy, in Sicily or Sardinia there are elegant and racy Italian sparkling wines, often hand shaken and degorged as Metodo Classico.
And in Emilia-Romagna there is also Lambrusco - in addition to spumanti from the traditional varieties in white and rosé (above all Francesco Bellei). If you try a Lambrusco di Sorbara like the Vigna del Christo from Cavacchioli, you will have abandoned the prejudices often attributed to this type of wine once and for all. SUPERIORE.DE
