The secret of this exceptional Rosso lies hidden in the blossoming fields between the organically cultivated rows of vines in Poliziano. Fiori Rossi – a name that alludes like a promise to the fragrance and poetry of this landscape, where Federico Carletti turns the authenticity screw. This latest creation from the winery comes from ancient Prugnolo Gentile clones, the selections from which gave Montepulciano wines supra-regional importance as early as the Middle Ages. From the historic vineyards of the 1960s, now replanted at an altitude of 300 to 400 metres with meticulous attention to the microclimate, a "Super-Rosso" of incomparable identity is created.

Curtain up for Ardalico: Named after a character from the epic novel Orlando Furioso, the new entry-level Chianti Classico from one of the most important wineries in the appellation impresses with an invigorating balance of fresh sour cherry and cherry flavours, ripe red berry fruit with fig notes, delicate smokiness, harmonious herbal and floral accents and a beautiful tannin core.

As early as 1928, Marchese Niccolò Antinori created a Chianti Classico that was to mature and improve – a wine for embassies, royalty and the world's great hotels. Almost a century later, Villa Antinori Riserva carries on this legacy, reinterpreted in the spectacular Antinori nel Chianti Classico winery: delicate, decisive, elegant. The grapes grow where Tuscan wine history is written – on the historic vineyards of Tenuta Tignanello and Badia a Passignano, right in the heart of Chianti Classico.

Since the first bottling in 2004, this wine has embodied the purest and most direct interpretation of Bolgheri à la Le Macchiole - a Rosso of grace and intensity, easy to drink without compromising on structure and complexity. The historic winery, founded in 1983 by Eugenio Campolmi and Cinzia Merli as pioneers of the region, has distilled its understanding of terroir with this Bordeaux blend of 40% Merlot, 20% each of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. The challenging 2023 vintage with its changeable summer demanded precise harvest decisions – a test that Le Macchiole's experienced team under Cinzia Merli passed with flying colours. 15 days of maceration in steel, followed by 10 months of ageing, 70% in used barriques and 30% in concrete, give the wine its characteristic balance.

Every year, La Crena is one of the best and most refined Barbera wines that Piedmont produces. The vines in the Vigna del Nove parcel date back to the 1930s. This vintage will also need many years to develop its full expressiveness, but that's the way it is and we love this crazy development potential so much. La Crena is creamy and rich in the glass, dense, very concentrated with an abundance of layers of fruit that only develop fully with further years of ageing and make for an energetic, exciting wine. Since the 2011 vintage, the Riserva Marchese Antinori has been made entirely from grapes from Tenuta Tignanello. As a result, the production volume has decreased and a further leap in quality has been made. Sparkling ruby in colour, with a bouquet of dark wild cherries, graphite, violets and spices.
