After organic certification was granted for the 2021 vintage, the next generation of Carlettis, namely Maria Stella and Francesco, began working on a new wine. It was to be a Rosso made from 100% Prugnolo Gentile, the local variety of Sangiovese. The vines for the single vineyard at high altitude were selected from ancient clones that had already given Montepulciano wines supra-regional importance in the Middle Ages.

Fiori Rosso, the winery's new "Super Rosso", surprises with its enormous fragrance, reminiscent of blood orange, dark cherries and mulberries, violets and violet flowers. Modern, velvety and accessible on the palate, yet sophisticated - an incredibly hedonistic wine whose label is a promise of the wine's fragrance and an allusion to the fields of flowers between the organic rows of vines. The name Da-Di derives from Chinese and means earth/soil. DA-DI bianco was born from owner Virginie Saverys' intuition to rediscover the vocation of the Cortona area for the production of great white wines from autochthonous grapes, and encapsulates all of Avignonesi's love of experimentation.

In the glass, it opens intensely with floral notes of wisteria and lime, white peach and gooseberry. On the palate, the approach is precise and straightforward. Lemon peel, mint and the complexity of wildflower honey emerge. The pronounced acidity makes it long and elegant. In the aftertaste, hints of flint bring back mineral notes. The DOC Cortona, which has existed since 1999, is famous for its single-varietal Syrahs and Merlots, whose vines thrive excellently on the Pliocene clayey soils. Since 2006, the Carletti family has also been involved in this appellation, which was quite unknown until today, and their Merlot Il Violas is now known beyond the borders of Italy and has many lovers.
