Hello! here comes no white, banal and arbitrary terrace wine from Apulia in the wo-always-usual 6+6 package! About the winemakers
    Conti Zecca
    Puglia
    Conti Zecca

The winery of the Count Zecca family of Naples in Leverano has been divided over the years into four estates, each representing a different aspect of the heart of the Salento area, following the expansion of the original business. More than five centuries ago, the family of winegrowers who had been highly respected in the region since that time had already settled on the Apulian estate. The grape yields of all branches are processed without exception in the family-owned company in Leverano.

The Azienda Conti Zecca was born in its present form in the 1930s, when Alcibiade Zecca transformed the estate into a winery to produce only wine. The company, now managed by the Alcibiade, Francesco, Luciano and Mario Zecca brothers, is still today a major player in Apulia's wine-growing sector.

After the Second World War, the family began to consistently develop the potential of their vineyards. The four estates of Saraceno, Donna Marzia and Santo Stefano in Leverano and Cantalupi in Salice Salentino cover an economically used area of 320 hectares. They are responsible for different wines, which are subdivided into just as many product lines. Conti Zecca's modern vinified wines are characterized by an impressively high quality at fair prices.

The very fruity wines are pressed mainly from local grape varieties such as Primitivo (called Zinfandel in California), Negroamaro, Aglianico, white and red Malvasia. Antonio Romano, chief oenologist and technical manager, is in charge of the cellar of the traditional Apulian company. He has the manor shortly before the turn of the millennium with the "Nero" on a high performance course and thus helped to the big breakthrough. With Giorgio Marone, Romano has a highly qualified consultant at his side. SUPERIORE.DE

"I have always been a fan of Conti Zecca's and have followed the estate's progress carefully over the years. I highly recommend these value-minded wines to those seeking authentic flavors from Southern Italy." Monica Larner (Robert Parker's Wine Advocate)
