“Visadi” Dolcetto Langhe DOC 2022
The grapes come from the Ginestra, Mosconi and San Pietro cru sites, with around 10 rows planted outside the appellation boundaries (this is why the wine is a Langhe Dolcetto and not a Dolcetto d'Alba). Beautiful, detailed aroma of rose gardens and lavender fields. The finish is slender, soft and silky with aromatic richness and plenty of fruit. A wonderfully complex Dolcetto in the impeccable style of the Clerico house. SUPERIORE.DE
"This is a wine that is fun to drink and reveals sweet, explosive fruit. It is charming through and through. The Domenico Clerico 2022 Langhe Dolcetto Visadì shows fresh sour cherry and summery blueberry. The fruit is sweet and fresh, and there are also subtle floral aromas." Wine Advocate

“Lamuri” Nero d’Avola Sicilia DOC 2020
Ruby red colour, appealing, slightly reductive aroma of ripe blackberries and elderberries, quite dense on the palate, certain fruit sweetness, good harmony between juicy acidity and velvety tannins, elegant finish with traces of cassis. SUPERIORE.DE
"The Tenuta Regaleali Tasca d'Almerita 2020 Sicilia Nero d'Avola Lamùri opens with a dark colour and a rich concentration of pressed blackberries, Mediterranean herbs, black olives and scorched earth. You can feel the fruit concentration of a hot and sunny vintage." Wine Advocate
"The Nero d'Avola Lamuri 2020 opens slowly in the glass, dusty and floral with floral undergrowth and smouldering ash stone forming its bouquet. It is soft and pure in style, with mineral-tinged red and black fruits accompanied by a lively acidity. On the finish, tart notes of wild berries and citrus fruits leave a bitter aftertaste." Vinous
"On the nose, this wine develops rich floral and fruity aromas of black cherry, violet and rose petals as well as stony notes of cobblestones and gravel. On the palate, it shows its best side. A savoury blend of spices, earth and a hint of balsamic vinegar meets more berries. The tannins are strong and chewy, and the acidity is restrained." Wine Enthusiast
"It's a Nero of striking density and intensity but with excellent balance. Earthy dark fruit aromas complement the sticky, spicy palate, with streaks of chocolate, salt and fresh herbs." Decanter
"A very solid and beautiful red with blackberries, asphalt and violets. Underneath it all is a berry compote. Medium to full body, chewy tannins and a juicy finish." James Suckling

Dolcetto d’Alba DOC 2022
Rich ruby red with a violet hue, the typical black cherry flavour with notes of roses and bitter almonds caresses the palate. This very authentic Dolcetto shines with finesse, a powerful body and a fruity, crisp finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"A pretty straightforward Dolcetto that starts off with lots of bold dark fruit but that also has the benefit of fine chalk and hints of flinty minerality. The 2022 Dolcetto d'Alba offers a little more complexity and aspires to more than just monotone blackberry. You get tart cherry and a hint of lilac or another blue flower. This is a terrific value buy." Wine Advocate

“Alpha” Vino Rosso 2021
"Rich, deep dark ruby violet. Intense nose, opens with notes of dark chocolate, then lots of blackberry and cassis, underpinned by fine graphite. Medium weight on the palate, showing lots of crunchy currant fruit, some beetroot, grippy tannin." Falstaff
"The 2021 Alpha is a new wine from Montepeloso. It offers sweet, dark plum fruit, graphite, menthol and liquorice, framed by jabbing tannins that need a little time to soften, though I imagine most bottles will be long gone before that happens. Alpha is a blend of young vines and some bought-in fruit." Vinous
"A rich and firm red wine with aromas and flavours of dark berries and dark earth. Medium to full-bodied with solid tannins and a flavourful finish." James Suckling
"Here is a new submission from Montepeloso in Suvereto, Tuscany, described as a "vino rosso" (or no appellation). The 2021 Alpha shows a rich and lush personality with medium weight fruit. There is plenty of tart fruit, with the two characteristics - acidity and tannins - giving this young wine the qualifications to pair with a hearty pasta or grilled meats." Wine Advocate

Chianti Classico DOCG 2021
Bright ruby red colour, open-hearted notes of cherry, raspberry and violet, paired with green pepper and cloves. Delicate on the palate, with a nice tang. Delicate, fine tannins, vivaciously supported by a fresh acidity structure with subtle extract sweetness, round off this incredibly authentic and juicy Tuscan experience. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2021 Chianti Classico is bright, floral and fruity, giving it great immediacy. Crushed flowers, cedar, tobacco and mint play with a core of vibrant Sangiovese fruit in this charming, medium-bodied offering from San Felice." Vinous
"A fresh and delicious Chianti Classico with a lightness and crispness. Sour cherries and light orange blossom. Light and beautiful." James Suckling
"The 2021 Chianti Classico proves to be a versatile wine and a fundamentally food-friendly choice with lots of purple and blue fruits with hints of fragrant wild roses. The wine has a medium weight and plenty of fresh acidity that pairs well with cream or butter ingredients." Wine Advocate
"Cranberries, strawberries and orange peel with fennel and sage and a mineral edge of just crushed rock are on the nose and then are repeated on the palate, where they come together in an elegant balance against firm but polished tannins and vibrant acidity." Wine Enthusiast
"Intense notes on the nose, hints of black raspberries, with memories of mint and cinnamon from Valdostan. Juicy and spicy flavour, with a comeback of rowan and green pepper." Luca Gardini

“Bricco Bastia” Dolcetto d’Alba DOC 2022 (BIO)
At Conterno Fantino, the Dolcetto grape is always processed with great sensitivity. Deep ruby violet colour. Aromas of crème de cassis, smoke, lavender and cloves. Firm on the palate, the typical Dolcetto acidity and a delicately bitter vein accompany this incredibly powerful Dolcetto through to the fresh, fruity and delicate final. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2022 Dolcetto d'Alba Bricco Bastia from organic farming is densely packed with sweet blackberries and blackcurrants. The wine is dense and rich with bitter almond and blue flower in the background. There is a lot of varietal character in this wine." Wine Advocate
"The Dolcetto d'Alba Bricco Bastia 2022 is a very nice wine. Crushed blue fruits, menthol, liquorice and baking spices are beautifully highlighted in this delicate, understated Dolcetto. Like so many Dolcettos, the 2022 is more finesse than power." Vinous

“Cutizzi” Greco di Tufo Riserva DOCG 2022
After a year of ageing in the cellar, Feudi's famous Greco "Cutizzi" is labelled Riserva.
Intense, straw-yellow colour and a complex bouquet in which the aromas of melon and pineapple alternate with spicy notes of camomile, vanilla and nutmeg. On the palate, it is round with a rich texture and the pleasant mineral note so typical of the Tufo region. Elegant, long finish with a delicate almond flavour. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright straw yellow with green reflections. Yellow peach and orange zest on the nose, delicate nuances of dandelion. Yellow-fruity, juicy and fresh on the palate, lively acidity, pleasantly salty on the finish." Falstaff
"The 2022 Greco di Tufo Cutizzi opens with an array of sweet white flowers, chamomile and crushed apples. It balances ripe fruit trees and green melon with salty mineral tones and tantalising acidity. The 2022 finishes with a saline tension and notes of nectarine." Vinous
"Elegant, fresh and dense, with a delicious acidity and a chalky base note that frames flavours of ripe mirabelle plums and nectarines, blanched almonds, aniseed, hyssop and preserved lemon." Wine Spectator
"This is a fine Greco. It's savoury, almondy, quinine, bitter and spicy, while subtly moving into stone fruit territory without going over the top. A tremor of mineral tension and shotgun acidity finds a nervous meeting with a stiff upper lip of richness. Convincing." James Suckling
"The Feudi di San Gregorio 2022 Greco di Tufo Cutizzi is just the thing for a plate of raw fish with spicy wasabi sauce or tuna tartare. Aged exclusively in stainless steel, it has the subtle power and firmness to support generous flavours of pear, quince and honeydew melon. The mineral signature of the wine is very pronounced." Wine Advocate
"Floral, zesty and peachy, it has good intensity allied to lovely freshness and a very saline finish. Still very youthful, it deserves the chance to gain some more bottle age before opening; wait and you'll be rewarded." Decanter

“Pietracalda” Fiano di Avellino Riserva DOCG 2022
After a year of bottle ageing in the cellar, Feudi's famous Fiano "Pietracalda" is labelled Riserva.
A particularly high-quality Fiano di Avellino from Campania with a bouquet of light-coloured stone fruit, nuts and honey. On the palate, its fruity character, aromatic herbal notes and clean structure and minerality make it extremely stimulating. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2022 Fiano di Avellino Pietracalda wafts up with a delicate blend of white flowers, young peach and crushed stone. It flows across the palate with silken textures offset by tactile mineral tones as a core of ripe pit fruits and inner florals amass toward the close. A youthful tension lingers as the Pietracalda finishes classically dry and lightly structured. Today, the 2022 is coy, yet it possesses the balance for medium-term cellaring." Vinous
"That's good. Taut and fresh. It relies on a chewy lattice of salted lemon pith, as well as a distinct acidity. Taut and medium-bodied, with dabs of pistachio, fennel, tonic and jasmine. Long and complex." James Suckling
"The Fiano di Avellino Pietracalda 2022 is another very approachable and drinkable white wine from Feudi di San Gregorio. It is fresh and lively, both on the nose and in the mouth, with lots of flavours of white melon, pear, almond and gravel." Wine Advocate

“Erse” Rosso Etna DOC 2020
Sweet cherries, flowers, spices and a hint of mint on the nose. Firm yet harmonious tannin in the lively, very intense flavour, which never feels heavy but elegant until the final. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2020 Etna Rosso Erse keeps me returning to the glass to take in its vibrant and spicy bouquet, where sour cherries complement dried roses, cloves and a hint of fresh mint. This wine is round and juicy, yet pure, with mineral red berries that saturate, while the lively acidity maintains a fantastic freshness. A subtle coating of fine tannins and a salty note define the final, while the 2020 tapers off smoothly and grippily under a hint of red flowers. This is an excellent entry-level Etna Rosso." Vinous
"The entry-level Tenuta di Fessina 2020 Etna Rosso Erse is elegant and lean with a fun set of aromas that recall white pepper, wild berry, blue flower and candied orange peel. I like this fresh, snappy style and you get great value." Wine Advocate

Chianti Classico DOCG 2021 (BIO)
Fine, slender and racy Chianti Classico from organic cultivation - and one of our particular favourites for 20 years. Captivating aromas, dense, firm body, deep and juicy, with well-defined tannins and a fresh and appetising finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Dark red; rather discreet; good acidity, juicy acidity, also fruit, tannic, not drying, length." Merum
"Brilliant, youthful ruby red colour. Beautiful, pure bouquet of cherries with mineral and savoury notes. On the palate, an impeccable balance between fresh, concentrated red fruit, juicy acidity and fine, gravelly tannins. Simply irresistible." Jancis Robinson
"The Chianti Classico 2021 is accessible and easy to drink. Mild cherry and dried raspberry, followed by almond, blue flower and peat moss. The winemaking is very simple and starts with spontaneous yeast fermentation and a short maturation in large oak barrels. You get good value, especially with this classic vintage." Wine Advocate
"The Chianti Classico 2021 is great. Bright and vibrant, with plenty of Sangiovese character, the 2021 is everything a Chianti Classico should be. Bright red cherry fruit, blood orange, mint, spice and tobacco all come through well in this juicy, wonderfully inviting Chianti Classico. The 2021 is one of the best editions of this wine I've tasted recently." Vinous
"Notes of cooked strawberries, red liquorice, blood orange and cedar wood. Medium body. Bright and racy with crisp acidity and a flavourful finish." James Suckling
"Discreet yet persistent, pretty herbs and spring blossoms sit atop glossy strawberry. While the palate is slightly austere and angular still, it demonstrates terrific tension and focus. Fine-grained tannins provide an effortless, unforced structure, while pristine raspberry notes are heightened by saline minerals in this midweight beauty." Decanter

Bright ruby red with delicately lightening rim. Fresh, pithy, very enjoyable wine with the scent of dark cherries, flowers and mint. Hearty delicate taste, good present acidity, very lively and full of character. SUPERIORE.DE
"Sangiovese with some Cabernet from the Avvoltore vineyards: inviting bouquet of plums, vanilla and sandalwood; nice melt and polish, good acidity, solid length." Vinum
"Medium ruby red with a slightly brightening rim. In the nose of ripe blackberries and pickled sour cherry, slightly spicy in the background. Mouth-filling on the palate, juicy, with fine tannin." Falstaff
"The 2018 Barbaspinosa is a blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon that spent a year in French oak. Racy and succulent in the glass, the 2018 offers up dark cherry, mocha, spice, licorice and leather, all nicely framed by a discreet kiss of French oak. Pretty floral accents lift the finish effortlessly. This mid-weight Maremma red is a winner. Drink it over the next handful of years. " Vinous
"The Morisfarms 2018 Maremma Toscana Sangiovese Barbaspinosa is a lively, almost electric wine, with medium-dark color saturation and terrific aromatic depth. “Misco” Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore DOC 2021
Misco, the estate's second top white product and a Verdicchio matured in stainless steel, exudes an elegant bouquet of floral and aniseed notes. On the palate, it is a magnificent interplay of juice and vigour, spicy tension, fresh citrus notes and aromatic firmness. It is one of the best in its denomination every year. SUPERIORE.DE
"Light golden light yellow; stale-fruity notes, mushroom; full-bodied, almost fruity, delicately bitter, lemony, also fresh mushrooms in the mouth, fresh, juicy." Merum
"Bright, sparkling straw yellow colour. Nobly restrained nose, mineral notes, reminiscent of wet stone, with some lemon and sage behind it. Lots of citrus fruit on the palate, fresh, crystalline clarity, salty, racy acidity, lingering, mouthwatering final." Falstaff
"This four-hectare, river-facing cru spends 12 months on the lees without batonnage in stainless steel tanks, giving it intense and fresh apple and lemon flavours, accompanied by floral scents and subtle spice. Soft and supple, with a hint of creamy yeast notes that emphasise the flavours of orange peel, juicy pineapple, peach and baked apple. Notes of white pepper emerge on the long finish." Decanter
"The 2021 Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore Misco offers a minimalist reading of the grape with very fresh and concentrated flavours of white flowers, cut grass, freshly squeezed grapefruit and a hint of white pepper. The finish has a tangy, electric quality." Wine Advocate
"The 2021 Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore Misco is wonderfully perfumed and lifted, presenting an herbal-tinged bouquet of wet stones, chlorophyll and green apples. This sleek and racy effort sends waves of mineral-tinged orchard fruits and hints of sour citrus across the palate, all guided by brisk acidity. Sour melon and inner florals resonate throughout the mouth-watering finish as a caking of minerality slowly cracks and crumbles." Vinous
"Always breathtaking, the 100% Verdicchio from Misco from a slightly late harvest. A multifaceted and fascinating nose, medicinal herbs, sage in the lead, tabacchiera peach, lily of the valley, with beautiful tension. Rosso di Montalcino DOC 2021
Rich ruby red colour, precise, clear fruit on the nose with a very light mineral note. Pleasant, beautifully smooth flavour, round and of good substance. A Rosso di Montalcino with a lot of charm. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2021 Il Poggione Rosso di Montalcino offers medium weight fruit with dark cherry, wild plum and savoury spice. This is an excellent vintage with moderate summer temperatures and a long growing season, which is very favourable to Sangiovese, a grape that needs its time to mature and develop complexity. This Rosso also shows a particularly spicy character with nutmeg and cinnamon, which seems to come from both the grape skins and the 12 months in oak barrels." Wine Advocate
"The nose leads with earthy, umami aromas of balsamic and fresh soil, but fruit notes of cherry and blackberry gradually emerge. The palate runs with the fruit, but that fresh, almost stony earthiness persists to create a cool, bouncy feeling, like a sudden gust of wind. Acid acts as a whetstone for sharp tannins." Wine Enthusiast
"A juicy red with leather and undergrowth accents framing smoky cherry, plum and mineral flavours. Well-structured and long, with a solid grip of tannins on the lingering aftertaste. Offers fine intensity." Wine Spectator
"A beautifully spicy Rosso di Montalcino with cloves, dried flowers, sour cherries and orange peel on the nose. Creamy and medium to full-bodied, with chalky tannins and a ripe, chocolaty finish." James Suckling
"The 2021 Rosso di Montalcino immediately catches the eye, with a classic, dusty blend of dried cherries, worn leather and earthy tones, complicated by aromas of roasted meat. It is polished. A crisp minerality emphasises the pure red fruits, which are accompanied by a lively acidity. This leaves you wanting more, as the orange and cranberry flavours linger in the mouth for a long time. The 2021 is a fantastic, dynamic Rosso that makes me curious to see what the Brunello of the vintage will bring." Vinous

“Moriz” Pinot Bianco Alto Adige DOC 2022
Moriz is a fresh and fruity Pinot Blanc with character and beautiful intensity. Harmonious bouquet of white fruit and flowers. Clean, elegant and long on the palate. Great value! SUPERIORE.DE
"The Pinot Bianco Moriz 2022 is subtle in the glass, with hints of wet stone and white flowers forming its nuanced bouquet. It opens with a pretty inner sweetness that segues into tart fruit flavours carried by juicy acidity. The 2022 leaves a teeth-gritting tension and finishes clean and fresh with a hint of candied lime." Vinous
"This Pinot Bianco from the winery's "classic" line is made from grapes grown on chalky soils at higher altitudes. Around a quarter is matured in large barrels, which gives the round, floral style of this white wine with white pepper some texture and air. Green apple, yellow plum and peach provide a fleshy fruitiness and balance the good acidity." Decanter
"Here is a great value. The 2022 Pinot Bianco Moriz is a classic, easy expression with the icy or glacier aromas that are associated with Alto Adige's headline grape. Star fruit, quince and honeydew melon appear softly on the bouquet. There is a hint of lemon or kumquat as well. The wine shows a subtle hint of sweetness." Wine Advocate

Chianti Classico Rubiolo shows its delicately spicy side on the nose with cloves, cinnamon, lavender, wild dark cherries and blackberries that are beautifully ripe but not overripe. There are also floral hints. The fruit for this extremely good value wine comes from Castellina and Panzano, whereby the fullness and richness of the Panzano region are clearly noticeable. The finish is soft and velvety. It is the exceptional balance of the wine that really sets it apart. SUPERIORE.DE
"Medium to deep carmine red colour. Concentrated, full yet cool nose of cherry fruit. Spicy cherry fruit with a layer of grainy tannins. Great balance and length." Jancis Robinson
"The Chianti Classico Rubiolo 2021 is a soft, fruity wine that should be drunk now and over the next few years as long as the flavours remain vibrant. Juicy red cherry fruit, orange peel, mint and white flowers burst from the glass. This exuberant, juicy Chianti Classico is a delight." Vinous
"Aromas of ripe red fruit, liquorice, spices and pink peppercorns. Medium to full-bodied, juicy and exciting with lively acidity and polished tannins. Notes of walnuts and savoury herbs on the finish." James Suckling
"The 2021 Chianti Classico Rubiolo from organic farming is a wine with an excellent value. The wine is made exclusively from Sangiovese from three vineyards in Castellina, Panzano and Badia a Passignano. The wine has a dark ruby red colour, and although the aromatic intensity is not very pronounced, there are delicately fragrant notes of cherry, raspberry and blood orange that are powerful and bright to the touch. There are also beautiful floral notes." Wine Advocate
"The idea of drinkability and home freshness, without sacrificing complexity. The nose is faceted, red currant with touches of wild mint and nuances of carnation. The mouthfeel is savory, with hints of small red fruits and a balsamic-floral return." Luca Gardini

“Il Randagio” Rosso Toscana IGT 2021
Il Randagio, the "stray", is Sean's new Bordeaux cuvée made from Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Initially quite closed, the delicately spicy nose creeps up with increasing aeration and opens up further into a wonderfully complex bouquet of dark red to black berries. The palate is wide-ranging with delicate forest berry flavours, perfectly polished tannins and a fresh, very invigorating acid wire that uninhibitedly enhances the drinkability of this once again typically different red. SUPERIORE.DE
"Rich, bright ruby red colour. Delicately scented on the nose, small red berries and orange zest. Lots of cherry on the palate, delicate, well-balanced, ripe, well-integrated tannins, savoury final." Falstaff
"The 2021 Il Randagio, the estate's red blend, is another wine in this range that demands cellaring. Dark and muscular, yet with the finesse that characterizes all these wines. Black cherry, lavender, spice, leather and sweet pipe tobacco emerge with air. The wine's best days are in the future though." Vinous
"The Tenuta di Carleone 2021 Il Randagio is a blend of equal parts Cabernet Franc and Merlot and features the cartoon character of a bulldog with a top hat and eye patch on the label. You can taste the flavours that come from the long maceration with grape skins and dried plums. Matured exclusively in cement, this wine shows energy and a bright, powerful personality. It offers a very authentic or individual quality with raw blackberry and cherry flavours." Wine Advocate

Bright ruby red colour with a delicately brightening rim. Fresh, full-bodied, very enjoyable wine with the aroma of dark cherries, flowers and mint. Hearty, delicate flavour, good acidity, very lively and full of character. SUPERIORE.DE
"The Morisfarms 2019 Maremma Toscana Sangiovese Barbaspinosa shows very dense and tart fruit flavours and has a slightly green note reminiscent of blackberries or balsam herb. The wine is a little prickly with a medium-heavy palate that finishes with cedar and toasted wood. It opens up nicely when it gets more air in the glass." Wine Advocate

“Grifo del Quartaro” Gavi del Comune di Gavi DOCG 2022
Serafino's beautifully balanced Gavi del Comune di Gavi "Grifo del Quartaro" is fragrant and floral with star jasmine and acacia, followed by orchard fruit, citrus and salty minerals. The wine is lean and crisp with enough vigour to pair with fried prawns or calamari. SUPERIORE.DE
"Fresh and perfumed nose with a hint of white almond to the green apples and peaches. Smoothly rendered on the medium-bodied palate with fresh acidity and a crisp and expressive finish." James Suckling
"The Enrico Serafino 2022 Gavi del Comune di Gavi Grifo del Quartaro is chiseled and tonic with citrus, white grapefruit, unripe peach and crushed oyster shell. The Cortese grape always has a salty side, and that is precisely what makes this grape so perfect to pair with seafood dishes like fish carpaccio drizzled with lime juice." Wine Advocate
"Passion fruit and apricot aromas and flavors are effusive in this juicy white, which is vibrant and harmonious, leaving a lingering aftertaste of cut grass and citrus." Wine Spectator
"Tangy mixed citrus aromas with savory herbal notes flow into notes of jasmine and ginger on the nose. The textured and complex palate gives notes of peach, sea salt and blanched almond finishing with focused acidity." Wine Enthusiast

Fiano di Avellino DOCG 2022
Opulent, savoury fruit, plus sage, ginger and thyme. Very soft and rich on the palate, fresh and agile as it progresses until it finally reaches its persistent and mineral final. A terroir wine full of character and complexity. SUPERIORE.DE
"The Colli di Lapio 2022 Fiano di Avellino shows good freshness and fruit quality in a challenging and very hot vintage and is beautiful on both the nose and the palate. It opens with creamy citrus, golden apple and yellow papaya flavours. Mineral tones are gently woven in. The secret of this wine lies in the vineyard's high altitude, with vines planted at a cool 530 metres above sea level on volcanic soils." Wine Advocate
"A fine expression from a warmer year. Peach, raw almond, apricot kernel and a noble quinine bitterness embrace an inherent ripeness. An engaging column of saltiness and a stream of gentle, maritime freshness. Perfect balance, the result. In such vintages, there is always a tendency towards excess. The winners are those who avoid this. Here is an example." James Suckling
"Bright and juicy, with pineapple, peach, blood orange sorbet, pink grapefruit granita, anise hyssop and honeysuckle flavors. Silky on the palate and well-knit, sculpted by lively acidity and a nice push of minerality that shines on the finish." Wine Spectator
"Traces of camomile complement sweet flowers and crushed yellow apples when the Fiano di Avellino 2022 opens in the glass. It is tangy and fresh, with a slightly effervescent feel. Salty mineral tones provide an echo of excitement. Young peach and sage notes linger as the 2022 finishes crisp." Vinous

“Pietrafusa” Taurasi DOCG 2017
This red classic comes from marl- and clay-rich soils from the high and steep hills near Taurasi, not far from the Tyrrhenian Sea. The soils are rich in minerals and salts and give the Aglianico grape a wonderful depth and minerality.
The nose of Taurasi Pietrafusa is savoury and intense, with notes of crushed blackberries, citrus fruits, stones, sage and a stimulating mint. On the palate, the soft texture gains richness as it flows over the senses with notes of ripe black fruits, salty minerals and sweet herbal notes. The finish is long and structured, showing the wine's tannic power mixed with resonant acids and lingering dark fruits. This is a wine that can be cellared for five to ten years, but also has what it takes to last another decade. SUPERIORE.DE
"Ripe, sweet cherries, dried cranberries, cinnamon and Christmas spices. Medium-bodied and supple on the palate with soft tannins and juicy, ripe berries. A lighter expression of the Taurasi. A little more depth would take it to the next level." James Suckling
"The Villa Matilde Avallone 2017 Taurasi Tenuta Pietrafusa was born in a scorching hot vintage but manages surprising elegance nonetheless with a pretty mineral tone of crushed stone that frames black cherry, plum and soft spice. The intensity of all those aromas balances out nicely. The finish is not too long, but that leanness works in favor of the wine's food-friendly disposition." Wine Advocate

“Anna” Pinot Bianco Turmhof Alto Adige DOC 2021
Bright lemon yellow with golden yellow accents. Pinot Blanc Anna Turmhof, with flavours of pear, peach and floral notes, is an unusually soft and beautiful wine, rich and concentrated, with class and refinement. Its fresh acidity is a lively accompaniment to the very pleasant finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2021 Pinot Blanc Anna is unobtrusive with a nuanced blend of young peach and wet stone. The palate is round and soft with a mineral note of fruit trees. Sour melon and salty minerals linger on the finish with medium length." Vinous
"From a screw-cap bottle, the Tiefenbrunner 2021 Alto Adige Weissburgunder Pinot Blanc Anna has an oaked and open-knit quality with oxidative aromas of dried peach, smoke, kerosene and flint over a round, medium-weight mouthfeel. The wine ends on a dry note with good acidity." Wine Advocate
"This wine oscillates between lush tropical fruit notes and tart green apples on the nose. In between the fruit are fresh flavours of yellow wildflowers and gravel. The palate is waxy with honey, roasted hazelnuts and baked pears. The wine has a long and complex finish that is simply captivating, as every aroma and flavour transports you to the mountains of Alto Adige." Wine Enthusiast

The 2021 is one of the best editions of this wine I have ever tasted." Vinous
"Even in the Chianti "vintage", all the crackling quality of the house's raw material can be felt. Redcurrant on the nose, with hints of rhubarb and mentholated Valdostan mint. In the drink, iodine-salty tannins, great crispness of fruit with a fruity, mentholated finish." Luca Gardini

The magazine "The Wine Advocate" (TWA for short) was founded in 1978 by Robert M. Parker Jr. The American Parker is considered one of the most influential wine tasters in the world. In the meantime, an international team of tasters stands behind the renowned name, who evaluate the most important wine regions of the world with their expertise. The independent reports and well-founded tasting notes have been published in the magazine "The Wine Advocate" for more than 40 years. A large following has enjoyed the editorial team's wine ratings for decades, and they are accepted and appreciated almost without contradiction all over the world.
All wines are rated according to the 100-point system, which is based on the American school grading system and has since been adopted internationally. For Italy, the chief taster Antonio Galloni evaluated for many years; since he left to become independent (vinous.com), Monica Larner has taken over this area. Born in California, she has lived in Italy for many years and knows the Italian wine world like no other.
Monica Larner is a certified sommelière of the Italian Sommelier Association AIS, she wrote for the daily newspaper La Repubblica for a long time and was the Italy expert of Wine Enthusiast for ten years. She is highly regarded by Italian winemakers and is an excellent taster. Her obliging commitment has also contributed to the fact that "The Wine Advocate" has gained significantly in reputation again in Italy. SUPERIORE.DE
