This Rosso is made from mainly Dolcetto and Barbera grapes and some Nebbiolo from various vineyards in the hills of the Langhe. Cherry-red in colour with violet reflections, it has a vinous fruit aroma, a spicy, full-bodied flavour and a pleasant acidity. SUPERIORE.DE

Barbera Sovrana is a fruity, full-bodied and very appealing wine with a deep ruby colour and a powerful nose of ripe cherries and earthy tones. The palate is balanced and of medium length with silky tannins and fresh acid wire. SUPERIORE.DE

The Barolo from Batasiolo is a wonderful and very serious, solid creature. Clear, shimmering garnet red colour with light red accents. Sophisticated aromas of leather and liquorice, plums, dried flowers and undergrowth. Straightforward and taut, the round, aromatic flavour follows its path into the persistent final with good length. This is a lot of Barolo for comparatively little money. SUPERIORE.DE

Typical Barbaresco: light ruby red colour, fine bouquet of berries, undergrowth and coffee. Powerful on the palate with fine, yet noticeable tannins, a soft centre with full-bodied substance and a long, fruit-driven finish. Very good value. SUPERIORE.DE

The grapes for the garnet-red Cerequio grow in La Morra. The bouquet is unmistakably balsamic with fresh flowers, blackberries, dried mushrooms, spicy notes and a hint of incense and tree bark. On the palate, the delicate fruit harmonises with a refined aroma of tobacco and coffee. Firm tannins, good acidity, yet focussed, elegant and balanced. SUPERIORE.DE

Batasiolo's Bussia comes from the Bofani vineyard in Monforte d'Alba. A classic-style Barolo with the exceptionally high quality of the 2016 vintage, promising a long evolution.
