“Bricco Quaglia” Moscato d’Asti DOCG 2024 (BIO)
An elegant sweet wine with a history: Bricco Quaglia was one of the first selected single-vineyard Moscato in Italy. The organically cultivated vines (approx. 300 metres above sea level, calcareous-sandy soil) lend it style and origin. Pale straw yellow in the glass with a visible perlage. The nose opens with fruity freshness: green apples, pear and juicy peach, plus floral notes of honeysuckle and elderberry and a fine hint of sage. Lively and juicy on the palate: sweet fruit, accompanied by elegant freshness, fine sweetness and a wonderfully balanced, sparkling texture. Ca' di Pian is a modern classic among Barbera d'Asti wines - spirited, fruity and at the same time deeply rooted in the terroir of Monferrato. This single-varietal Nebbiolo comes from organically farmed plots in Neive and Castagnole Lanze (including Starderi), whose vines are rooted in calcareous marl soils. The cooler spring of 2023 and the sunny autumn yielded perfectly ripe, aromatic grapes. Medium ruby red in the glass with bright reflections. Fragrant notes of sour cherry, ripe raspberries and a hint of violet on the nose, complemented by fine spice and hints of liquorice. Clear and precise on the palate, with fresh acidity, fine-grained tannins and elegant, juicy fruit that carries through to the medium-long final. !["Vigneto Gallina" Barbera d'Alba Superiore DOC 2021 (BIO)]()
“Vigneto Gallina” Barbera d’Alba Superiore DOC 2021 (BIO)
Vigneto Gallina is a parcel with iconic status and is located in the core area of the famous Barbaresco Gallina vineyard, north of Neive. Vines with an average age of around 55 years are rooted on south-facing slopes with calcareous marl and sandy inclusions – an expression of terroir, history and origin, carried in every drop. The 2021 vintage gave the wine precise balance: balanced ripening conditions combined with cool nights resulted in grapes with clear freshness and aromatic richness. After traditional mash fermentation, the wine matured for 16 months in new barriques – a decision that gives it depth and density without losing elegance, followed by ageing in the bottle.

!["Pin" Rosso Monferrato DOC 2021 (BIO)]()
“Pin” Rosso Monferrato DOC 2021 (BIO)
The name Pin honours Giuseppe "Pin" Rivetti, the paternal driving force behind this family and founder of La Spinetta. His Rosso Monferrato is more than just a cuvée – it is a personal legacy made from 65% Nebbiolo (from aged vines from Castagnole Lanze/Neive) and 35% Barbera d'Asti (Bionzo parcel). Each grape variety was vinified separately – fermentation on the skins for around 7-8 days in rotary fermenters at a controlled temperature, followed by malolactic fermentation in French wood. Ageing took place for 16-18 months in used, medium-toasted barriques before the two components matured in stainless steel tanks for a further two months, followed by 15 months of bottle ageing without filtration.

![Barbaresco Bordini DOCG 2022 (BIO)]()
Barbaresco Bordini DOCG 2022 (BIO)
In the gentle hills of Neive, where the Bordini family cultivated their vines for over three hundred years, Giorgio Rivetti has been writing a new chapter in Piedmontese wine history since 2006. When the last scion of the Bordini dynasty sold his 4.5-hectare estate, the visionary winemaker of La Spinetta immediately recognised the extraordinary potential of this site. At an altitude of 240 metres, facing south-east, where calcareous marl meets sandy soils, forty-year-old Nebbiolo vines now thrive according to organic principles – without herbicides or pesticides, in harmony with nature. The Bordini was originally intended as Giorgio's basic Barbaresco, but the grapes revealed such exceptional quality that one of the most elegant representatives of the region was created. The particularly sandy soil composition gives this wine the lightness and aromatic delicacy that distinguishes it from heavier Barbaresco wines.

Barolo “Garretti” DOCG 2020
Barolo Garretti is a wine from the slopes of the La Spinetta estate in Grinzane Cavour. These grapes were previously used in Barolo Campé. It is bold, racy and super-expressive. Juicy dark cherry, lavender, spices, menthol, red flowers, liquorice and French oak come together in this creamy, racy wine from La Spinetta. Garretti captures all the richness and pedigree of the vintage in a forward, juicy style that is sure to find many admirers. Barbaresco “Vigneto Gallina” DOCG 2021 (BIO)
The single vineyard Gallina in Neive has been synonymous with powerful, broodingBarbaresco for decades. The vines grow on calcareous marl soils with a southern exposure – a terroir that characterises the Nebbiolo with lush fruit, fine spice and distinctive structure. Organic cultivation promotes vitality and expressiveness, while limiting yields ensures concentration. The 2021 vintage was characterised by an ideal balance: warm, sunny days and cool nights during the ripening phase resulted in healthy, aromatically complex grapes. After careful manual harvesting, a traditional maceration followed, after which the wine matured for around 20 months in new barriques before being bottled unfiltered.

The Starderi hill in the municipality of Neive is one of the most famous addresses in Barbaresco. The vines here are rooted in calcareous marl soils interspersed with fine loam – a terroir that lends structure and warmth to the Nebbiolo. The location is sun-drenched, but the altitude of around 270 metres and the open breeze from the Tanaro River ensure freshness and aromatic precision. 2021 is considered a vintage of rare balance in Piedmont: an even growing season with a mild spring, a warm but not extremely hot summer and a long, dry autumn. Traditional mash fermentation, 20 months maturation in new barriques, unfiltered bottling.

Barolo “Campè" DOCG 2021 (BIO)
"Vürsù" – the longing, the passion, the insatiable desire. This is what Giorgio Rivetti called the feeling that drove him in 2000 when he acquired the first hectares in Grinzane Cavour and thus realised his greatest dream: to create his own Barolo. The Vigna Campè covers eight hectares, majestically situated at an altitude of 280 metres with a perfect southern exposure, where seventy-year-old Nebbiolo vines take root in alluvial soils with calcareous clay. Giorgio immediately recognised the extraordinary potential of this site, which had previously been cultivated by a producer who never intended to produce great wines. All the grapes went to other Barolo producers as bulk wine. But Giorgio saw what others had overlooked: the terroir for one of Piedmont's greatest Barolo. He reduced yields by 75 per cent, banned all chemicals in the vineyard and worked the vines with horses - Morro and Pipo still plough between the venerable vines today.

La Spinetta – literally "the top of the hill" – carries its name with historical weight. It refers to the location of the Rivetti family's first winery in Castagnole delle Lanze, situated between Astigiano and Langhe. Today, the estate is run by its charismatic centre Giorgio Rivetti, whose name has made a name for itself in the wine world far beyond Italy's borders.
The roots go back to the 1890s, when Giovanni Rivetti left Piedmont for Argentina – with the dream of returning as a wealthy man and one day creating the best wine in Italy. As he never returned home, his son Giuseppe picked up the thread. In 1977, he moved to La Spinetta and laid the foundations for the winery of the same name.
From the past to the present
Today, Giuseppe's three sons, who are rooted in the tradition of Moscato d'Asti, run the estate. The estate comprises 165 hectares, around 100 of which are in Piedmont – in Barbaresco and in the Barolo village of Grinzane Cavour – as well as other areas in Tuscany. With the takeover of the Contratto sparkling wine cellar, steeped in tradition, the brothers have added a jewel of Italian winemaking history to their empire. Around three quarters of production is exported, with the USA being the most important market at 45 per cent.
From the very beginning, Giorgio, one of Italy's most distinguished Oenologist, pursued a clear vision and a sense of style. The breakthrough came in 1989 with the "Pin", a cuvée of Barbera and Nebbiolo in honour of his father Giuseppe, whose nickname was the inspiration for the name. This success marked the start of a series of remarkable wines that characterise the unmistakable character of La Spinetta. The two Barberas Bionzo (Asti) and Gallina (Alba) have also won several awards. The wines of La Spinetta are considered modern, innovative and very individual. The main emphasis is on ripe fruit.
Barolo Campè and the Barbaresco Crus
Today, the unique Barolo Campè and three Barbaresco single-vineyard wines are among the outstanding wines in the large label portfolio. The three Barbaresco crus from La Spinetta are like siblings from a large winegrowing family – linked by terroir and philosophy, but each with an unmistakable personality:
Vigneto Gallina in Neive presents itself as the charmer of the round. The south-west facing vineyard with calcareous marl and a fine clay content produces a Barbaresco that seduces with its silky texture, ripe red fruit and floral elegance. Gallina opens early and scores with harmony and a soft, flattering final.
Vigneto Valeirano, situated at around 380 metres in Treiso, is the cool head. Here, light-coloured, limestone-rich soils and a fresh breeze from the high altitudes dominate. The wine is tighter, more structured, with mineral precision and a rather cool aroma of redcurrants, spices and herbs. Valeirano needs patience, but rewards with filigree depth and great longevity.
Vigneto Starderi, also in Neive, is the sensual, powerful wine. The combination of southern exposure, heat-retaining marl soils and the open valley location gives it fullness and warmth. It has an intense aroma of dark fruits, spices and fine woods, a lush yet velvety structure and is accessible early on without losing any of its ageing potential. SUPERIORE.DE
