Bionzo is a vineyard site in Costigliole d'Asti planted with vines that are 80 years old or more. Pin is dedicated to Giuseppe, the father of the Rivetti siblings Carlo, Bruno, Giorgio and Giovanna. It is a blend of Nebbiolo and Barbera. The Barbera comes from the Bionzo vineyard, while the Nebbiolo is a selection from old vines in Castagnole Lanze. This is a beautiful blend of Piedmont's great red grapes that deliver freshness and bright intensity. Expansive and persistent aromas of blueberries, redcurrants and blackberries. Strong cherry and cassis rise to the top, followed by light spice and smoke from barrel ageing.
