Querciabella's Riserva is a great blend of the three best Chianti sites in Greve, Radda and Gaiole. Pure elegance on all levels: Rich ruby garnet, subtle aromas of cherry, anise and tobacco, joined by notes of jasmine and violets. Pleasantly medium-bodied on the palate, ripe black cherries and herbs, very typical of this terroir. The grapes for Vigna Pedale come from vines that are over 30 years old. The vines are planted in a small tree system, which allows only a few grapes per vine. The harvest does not begin until mid-October, very unusual for a site this far south. Purple dark red. Spicy scent of cherries, thyme, wild mushrooms and earth, the typical, genuine taste is powerful and concentrated with subtle sweetness. In October 2014, the largest Italian publishing house published its first 550-page "Guida essenziale ai vini d'Italia". Daniele Cernilli, together with a small editorial team and well-known experts, tasted wines from all over Italy and evaluated them according to the internationally proven 100-point system. All wines that score more than 95 points will be converted into „The Guide’s Faces“. In the first guide there were 106 wines.
