The vines for Mediaevum Vernatsch grow in the southern Eisack Valley at the foot of the Schlern massif at around 400-480 metres above sea level. Brilliant, brightening ruby colour. Fine, fragrant nose of delicate cherry flavours, violets, very clear. Juicy on the palate, shows good tension, flavours of sour cherries and raspberries, delicate tannins. SUPERIORE.DE

Markus Prackwieser's Sauvignon vines are planted on calcareous moraines with firm quartz porphyry at the foot of the Schlern massif about 400-480 metres above sea level. Sparkling, light straw yellow. Very intense, appealing nose, of tomato leaves, sage, some thyme and white asparagus. Binot Bianco Praesulis is unobtrusive but remarkably pretty. Bright silver with straw yellow colour. Peach, fine nuances of red berries and sweet sage on the nose. On the palate, juicy, racy, savoury, with a great draw and precise finish, plus a mix of candied lime and salty minerals that cut through its silky textures. Praesulis Pinot Noir is the latest addition to Markus Prackwieser's wine family. Gentle, bright ruby red colour with a delicately brightening rim.
