Soave Classico DOC 2020 (BIO)
The straw yellow Soave Classico smells light and floral of citrus, apple, jasmine and elderberry. Soft and creamy on the palate with subtle almond tones and a mineral vein, all embedded in a fresh, crisp acidity. A vibrant, sophisticated white with aromatic character and a tasty bite. Certified organic since the 2019 vintage. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2020 Soave Classico is remarkably pretty, perfumed and refined, with crushed apple and chamomile complemented by dusty florals. It finds a balanced middle ground between succulent ripe fruits and zesty acids, as its silken textures soothe the palate. A flourish of salty minerals and sweet florals seals the deal, as the 2020 tapers off long yet fresh. This is a lovely entry-level Soave. Well done." Vinous
"Crisp and lightly chalky, this seamless, light-bodied white offers juicy notes of ripe melon and nectarine, with hints of honeysuckle, pickled ginger and blood orange peel." Wine Spectator
"Fresh lemon, white-peach and dry-stone aromas follow through to a medium body with a tight mineral framework and a clean bead of lemony fruit to the end." James Suckling

“Le Rive” Bianco Veronese IGT 2018
In Le Rive, the scents of citrus fruits, almonds and exotic fruits are impressive. Its taste is soft and powerful, with a wonderful freshness that lasts into the long finish. A wonderful, elegant drop with which the three sisters once again put themselves at the top of their region. SUPERIORE.DE
"Late-harvest Garganega here, offering rich aromas and flavors of raisins, ripe peaches and a hint of fruit tea. Full, silky and flavorful with a long, controlled finish. Leaves a hint of salt in your mouth. Well defined." James Suckling
"The 2018 Bianco Veronese Le Rive entices, with crushed apples and pears complemented by sweet notes of chamomile and mint. It’s rich and glycerol in texture, with ripe fruits that verge on tropical, offset by candied lime and brilliant acidity. The tension and contrasts here are unreal, as the palate is clenched but also soothed by the push and pull of minerals, acid and sugar; yet in the end, the expression is savory. Nearly a minute goes by, and you can still taste the exotic peach and melon tones that the 2018 leaves behind, along with a coating of round tannins that promise years of further development. Le Rive is a varietal Garganega made with late-harvest grapes." Vinous

Suavia is the ancient name for the famous wine village of Soave. This name alone shows the traditional connection of the Tessari family with their northern Italian homeland. Just as deeply rooted in the terroir are the idiosyncratic and autochthonous grape varieties Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave, the only grape varieties cultivated by the winegrowing family on twelve hectares of vineyard land. After grafting in the cellar of this fascinating Veneto family business, which has risen almost unnoticed in the regional hierarchy, these fruits have an unmistakable expressiveness. Giovanni and Rosetta Tessari, who took over the farm, which is situated on a natural terrace in the picturesque village of Fittà, are now an experienced winemaking couple working only in the background. Today, the winery is run by their daughters Alessandra, Arianna, Meri and Valentina, who are highly skilled and determined to work hard. The four young sisters give outsiders the impression that they live in perfect interaction and harmony with their environment.
The vineyards of the small Suavia winery, cultivated with great sensitivity, heart and mind, are located in the higher hills of Fittà, in the heart of the Soave country. They reach heights of around 300 metres. The plants, most of which are well over fifty years old, grow in very good locations on copper-red, black and grey soils full of basalt and other volcanic rocks. The subsoil contains essential mineral trace elements such as manganese and zinc. In addition to the exceptional soil, the climatic conditions in this growing area are particularly favourable. The warmth of the day is quickly replaced by a cool breeze after dark.
The rich and amazingly original Soave wines are given ample time to age by the female quartet, out of great respect for their historical raw materials. The terroir-true plants captivate with finesse, clarity and a great elegance. In addition, as a result of successful experiments, a few more drops are being pressed in the family business, which is intended to discover the full potential of traditional grape varieties. The Tessari family, unlike some large wineries and cooperatives, has never given in to the commercial pressures of the market and has produced wines that are above all cheap and uncomplicated. The sisters also do not feel an excessive urge for higher growth. Rather, as members of a family whose roots in the wine-growing region go back to the 19th century, they would like to write their personal wine history of the Soave. SUPERIORE.DE
