Delicate apricot colour, very light bouquet of peaches, light fruits and sultanas. The persistent flavour is soft and fruity with subtle notes of fresh toast. SUPERIORE.DE

“Vintage Collection” Franciacorta DOCG 2019 extra brut
The Vintage Collection extra brut is the backbone of Ca' del Bosco - a cuvée that combines everything that makes this style great: depth, precision, energy. No effects, no superficial fruit, but the archetype of a high-quality Franciacorta with a clear edge and enormous inner tension. The cuvée is made up of Chardonnay, Pinot Nero and a small proportion of Pinot Bianco, harvested from the best parcels in Erbusco, Cazzago San Martino and Passirano. Each harvest, each batch is fermented separately - partly in small oak barrels, partly in steel - after which the wine rests on the lees, is blended, bottled and matured in the bottle for 48 months. The dosage remains minimal so as not to mask the skeleton of the vintage.

“Vintage Collection” Franciacorta DOCG 2020 satèn brut
In Franciacorta, Satèn stands for finesse under pressure – in both the literal and figurative sense. Ca' del Bosco interprets this style not as a sideline, but as an expression of refinement and sensory depth. The cuvée consists of 85% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Bianco – a composition that combines freshness with a supple structure – grown in selected high-altitude vineyards on chalky soils, vinified with extreme precision and a tangible signature. The base wines ferment in small barriques and rest on the lees for several months before being blended and bottled. The second fermentation takes place at reduced pressure – maximum 5 bar – resulting in a particularly fine perlage. The wine then matures on the lees for four years, the dosage remains restrained and emphasises the natural elegance of the cuvée.

“Vintage Collection” Franciacorta DOCG 2020 dosage zéro
Vintage Collection dosage zéro is the purist expression of what Franciacorta can be – and Ca' del Bosco shows how far this claim can be taken when precision and patience work together. No dosage, no compromises – just the essence of grape, terroir and time. The cuvée of Chardonnay, Pinot Nero and Pinot Bianco comes exclusively from vineyards selected for their expression, depth and freshness. Hand-picked in small crates, gentle pressing, fermentation and ageing of the base wines in barriques – all under maximum oxidation protection. This is followed by tirage and maturation on the lees for over 48 months in the bottle. Disgorged without any added sugar – the pure backbone of the vintage.

!["Pinero" Pinot Nero Sebino IGT 2019]()
“Pinero” Pinot Nero Sebino IGT 2019
Pinot Nero in Lombardy is a quiet discipline - difficult to master, easy to underestimate. With Pinéro, Ca' del Bosco has been proving for decades that this grape variety can also achieve expression and elegance on the edge of the Alps. The 2019 vintage was characterised by balanced vegetation, with cool nights at harvest time - a blessing for finesse, freshness and structure. The grapes come from high-altitude vineyards in the Sebino area with calcareous, clayey soils and good air circulation. After manual harvesting in small crates and strict selection, fermentation takes place in large, open oak vats - a traditional process that preserves structure and aromatic finesse. The wine then matures for 11 months in French barriques - one part new, the other used. Everything is done with care: no excess, no forced concentration, but rather the development of fine depth.

“Selva della Tesa” Chardonnay Sebino IGT 2020
"Selva della Tesa" is no ordinary Chardonnay - it is the quiet antithesis to Ca' del Bosco's world of sparkling wines, a solitary vineyard, a monolith of fruit, minerality and ageing potential. Situated in the hilly landscape of Erbusco, the plot - planted with old vines on clay-limestone soils - produces the estate's most concentrated harvestyear after year. 2020, with its moderate course and cool harvest phase, gave the wine clarity and energy. After manual harvesting and the typical washing process, the grapes are gently pressed and filled into small French barriques, where fermentation begins spontaneously. This is followed by eleven months of ageing on the fine lees, with regular bâtonnage. No new wood influence for its own sake, but targeted structural work. This is followed by bottle ageing - long enough to bring out the inner architecture of the wine.

“Maurizio Zanella” Rosso Sebino IGT 2021
Named after the founder of the estate, Maurizio Zanella Rosso is much more than just a name wine - it is a personal commitment to the idea of modern Italian red wine. Bordeaux grape varieties on Lombardy soil, French vinification techniques and Italian intuition: a cuvée that has been proving since the 1980s that great red wines are not bound by borders. The 2021 vintage is in the tradition of cooler, structured years - with crystal-clear fruit, lively freshness and excellent ageing potential. The blend consists of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc, from single vineyards with poor, chalky soils and natural yield stress. The grapes are harvest strictly and selectively by hand. After fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, the wine matures for around 13 months in small French barriques - around two thirds of which are new. It is then bottled, unfiltered, without fining.

!["Vintage Collection Noir" Franciacorta Riserva DOCG 2016 dosage zero]()
“Vintage Collection Noir” Franciacorta Riserva DOCG 2016 dosage zero
He is a little quieter than Annamaria Clementi, but no less ambitious: Vintage Collection Noir is the discreet flagship in Ca' del Bosco's second range - pure Pinot Nero, vinified as Franciacorta Riserva, without dosage, but with a clear vision. A sparkling wine for purists that does not need ornamentation, but favours line, depth and contour. 2016 was a year of balance - and it seems as if the Noir has absorbed this balance in every fibre. The grapes come from the coolest vineyards in the estate, where Pinot Nero can develop both strength and fragility. After selective hand-picking, the grapes are carefully destemmed, gently pressed and fermented in small oak barrels. The base wine rests on the lees for seven months before being bottled. This is followed by extended ageing on the lees for at least 7 years - the backbone of this Riserva. It is disgorged without any dosage: puristic, clear and uncompromising.

!["Annamaria Clementi" Franciacorta Cuvée Rosé DOCG 2015 extra brut]()
“Annamaria Clementi” Franciacorta Cuvée Rosé DOCG 2015 extra brut
If the white Annamaria Clementi is the backbone of the house, then the rosé is the colourful counterpart - a counterpart full of independence, depth and almost aristocratic discipline. The Cuvée Rosé 2015 is a sparkling wine that goes far beyond what is commonly understood by rosé sparkling wine. Pinot Nero in its purest form, vinified according to the Méthode Saignée - one of the most demanding techniques that must harmonise fruit, structure and noblesse. The 2015 vintage in Franciacorta was characterised by ripeness, density and remarkable balance. The Pinot Nero grapes come from high-altitude vineyards with limestone-rich subsoil. After a short maceration, only the free-run must is processed, fermented in small French oak barriques and matured on the fine lees for seven months. This is followed by a second fermentation in the bottle - and then patience: over 8 years on the lees before the wine is disgorged as extra brut, with minimal dosage.

Translated the name means "House in the forest". The house acquired in 1964 by Annamaria Clementi Zanella in Franciacorta became a winery only four years later, when the owner decided to use the two hectares of land belonging to the Erbusco estate for the cultivation of grapes. If the mother of the estate founder Maurizio Zanella had decided otherwise at that time, wine lovers would have been deprived of some of the finest wines of Italy. The Ca Winery' del Bosco is owned by Maurizio Zanella, one of the most innovative wine producers in the country and by the Marzotto family of Venetian industrialists active in the fashion, wine and glass sectors.
Zanella is considered to be one of the pioneers who contributed to the enormous rise of Franciacorta south of Lago d'Iseo; he is also President of the DOC Consortium. As co-owner, the Marzotto Group primarily provides capital and has invested heavily in its distribution network. Whether spumanti or still wines - Ca' del Bosco confirms again and again the high quality standard of its noble drops, which are unmistakable in their style.
Designed by Maurizio Zanella and top specialists, the Lombard winery has become an icon of Franciacorta sparkling wine in the world. The company has grown considerably since its foundation and is regarded as a showpiece in terms of architecture and technical infrastructure. In rapid succession, the ultra-modern company used more sophisticated systems for managing the vineyards and processing the grapes. The staff around the renowned oenologist Stefano Capelli is highly qualified and guarantees that the high quality of the small fruits also reaches the bottle. The sparkling wines of Ca' del Bosco can compete with the best sparkling wines from Champagne. They maintain their fineness during several years of bottle storage on the yeast.
Inner devotion and special attention accompany you in the Ca winery.' del Bosco every stage of the production process. Maurizio is always guided by the latest scientific findings when it comes to grape cultivation. All the vineyards have been restructured. The transport of the wines in the cellar takes place without pump employment only by gravity. The barriques, which are intended for the mostly very long storage of the plants, are produced in the in-house cooperage from French oak.
The Blessed Sacrament of Ca' del Bosco, the wine cellar, not only houses a sea of bottles and barrels in its vaults reminiscent of the ancient Pantheon in Rome, but is also full of works by contemporary artists. The magical place inspired star photographer Helmut Newton, for example, to create one of his cool portrait series with challenging posing women. SUPERIORE.DE
"You have to have been there to understand the full extent of the innovations introduced by Maurizio Zanella. This volcano of a president, if he sleeps at all, has never rested on his laurels, restless, in sheer superhuman striving he is in search of the perfect wine ideal."Gambero Rosso
