• "Manna" Bianco Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT 2018

“Manna” Bianco Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT 2018

As a young wine Manna has golden-yellow nuances of colour, after a few years of maturation they turn into strong golden tones. Manna is very special: complex, multi-layered with a bouquet of elderberry, pistachio, apricot, nutmeg and delicate rose petals. Concentrated, voluminous and at the same time elegant and complex in taste. A wine that, in the course of its evolution, can be discovered from different perspectives and develops its character more and more. Already the young wine changes in the glass and surprises again and again. SUPERIORE.DE

    • "St. Valentin" Sauvignon Bianco Alto Adige DOC 2018

“St. Valentin” Sauvignon Bianco Alto Adige DOC 2018

Sauvignon Sanct Valentin is probably the best known white wine from the St. Michael-Eppan winery. Since 1989 it has been vinified from carefully selected individual vineyards at the foot of the Mendelstock. Yellow-green colour, dense bouquet of yellow fruits, gooseberry, elderflower and ripe currant, smooth on the palate with elegant fullness and crisp acidity. A great top wine and the most awarded whiteness of the internationally highly respected winegrowers' cooperative. SUPERIORE.DE

"Bright, bright straw yellow. Restrained, fine nose of white flowers, elderberry, delicate blackcurrant, lemon. Crisp and floral on the palate, opening with a delicate creaminess, tight and straight, compact, very juicy to the back, powerful final". Falstaff

"The 2018 Alto Adige Sauvignon Sanct Valentin is a careful and clever interpretation of this grape. The wine's aromatic impact is strong and lasting, yet it is never too zesty or pungent. In fact, you get softer Sauvignon Blanc tones of citrus and fragrant white peach but none of that tomato leaf aroma. The wine also successfully plays up its lean mouthfeel, giving you a tonic and bright mouthfeel that is not too thin or short. Those distinctive mineral tones of Alto Adige appear on the close." • 1924 Prosecco Spumante di Conegliano Valdobbiadene Superiore DOCG Brut

1924 Prosecco Spumante di Conegliano Valdobbiadene Superiore DOCG Brut

"1924" is a reminiscence of the founder Antonio Carpenè, who was instrumental in the development of the Prosecco Spumante as we know it today. The production is also special, with a beautiful reproduction of the label of that time: the necessary second fermentation on the yeast in the pressure tank (autoclave) lasts a full 25 days, which leads to a finer development of the bouquet, the aromas and the perlage. This high-quality Prosecco Superiore presents itself in the nose fine-fruity after ripe fruits and white blooms, in the taste it is full of character with a beautiful acidity, the correct dose of yellow pomace fruit and subtle almond note. This noble bubble / sparkling wine is a prime example of the DOCG and a more than appropriate appreciation of the inventor! SUPERIORE.DE

"Bright, brilliant silver with fine perlage. In the nose of melon, smoke, slightly greasy, flintstone. On the palate balanced and fine, rests elegantly in itself, juicy, opens clear and balanced, in the aftertaste further juicy and slightly salty, long". Falstaff

    • "Andrius" Sauvignon Bianco Alto Adige DOC 2017

“Andrius” Sauvignon Bianco Alto Adige DOC 2017

Sauvignon Andrius matures for six months on the yeast and is a lively, well-structured white wine. Ripe peaches, dried apricots, juicy honeydew melon, candied almonds, flowers and a hint of mint together with the elegant style create a remarkable overall picture. Great class! SUPERIORE.DE

"Bright, bright straw yellow. In the nose elegant cool nuances, mineral-salty, suggests flint tones, white flowers, gooseberry, cassis, in the aftertaste delicate smoke. On the palate clear and fresh, shows crunchy body with fine melting, very fine approach and course, coherent, harmonious-long final." Falstaff

"This is a consistently excellent expression of Sauvignon Blanc with an all-Italian heart. The 2017 Alto Adige Sauvignon Blanc Andrius shows the less spicy and pungent side of the grape compared to an expression from, say, New Zealand. The semi-aromatic grape in Italy tends to offer softer tones of peach, passion fruit and creamy citrus instead. You get all of that here, along with the slightly dusty and mineral tones that are characteristic of wines made in the Italian Dolomites." Robert Parker

"I love the effusive, cassis and elderflower aromas in the nose. The green elements of sauvignon blanc have been dialed back, but they’re still in there to give freshness; there is some gooseberry on the palate. Good length and rather polished at the finish, too." James Suckling

“Ben Ryé" Passito di Pantelleria DOP 2017

Ben Ryé - the great natural sweet and world famous white wine from Donnafugata. The harvest of the grapes begins in the middle of August. The grapes are naturally dried for 20 to 30 days. In September the later ripening grapes are harvested and freshly processed. During fermentation, the hand-picked rosé berries are added to the must in several stages.

Light orange yellow. Overwhelming aromas of apricot, peach and orange peel. On the palate creamy notes of passion fruit and peach with an impressive elegance and length. For us every year one of the best sweet wines of Italy! SUPERIORE.DE

Intense, seductive scent of sweet spices, tobacco, dark cherries and wild berries. The perfectly corresponding taste is of enormous elegance, richness of fruit, complexity, structure and length. A wonderful, dreamlike wine. SUPERIORE.DE

"In the nose red fruits, some vanilla and fresh plum. On the palate soft, accessible, with fine tannin, ripe fruit and roasted aromas in the finish." Falstaff

"Dark berry, blackberry, tea leaf, and dried lavender. Full body, layered and polished. A pretty and focused red." James Suckling

"Montiano is and always has been the Cotarella family pièce de résistance. The 2015 Montiano (100% Merlot from Lazio) is a deep and richly textured wine with thick layers of dark fruit and sweet spice. The wine ages in Nevers and Tronçais oak barriques for 12 months. The 2015 vintage was warm, and that extra heat adds to the power and the softness of the wine." Robert Parker

    • "DUBL ESSE" Metodo Classico VSQ s.a. Dosaggio Zero

“DUBL ESSE” Metodo Classico VSQ s.a. Dosaggio Zero

Feudi di San Gregorio's DUBL project was born in 2004 out of an awareness of the great richness of the autochthonous vines of the Irpinia region and the desire to open up new horizons for them: as a Classico Spumante metodo or through the famous Méthode Champenoise. A consultant was quickly found - none other than Anselme Selosse, who is known for his champagne and his intuition for the peculiarities of the vines and vineyards.

A quarter of the base wines of this top product are aged in oak barrels for 6 months, then the cuvée is aged in the bottle for 3 years on fine yeast before being disgorged. Strong light yellow and a super-fine perlage. In the nose light fruit, yeasty notes and nuances of fresh bread. On the palate then powerful, fresh, with beautiful spice and a potpourri of stone fruit, fine honey note and roasted almonds. This sparkling wine does completely without dosage, it is extremely dry with all its aromas and for us with its impressive finish one of the great spumanti of Italy. SUPERIORE.DE

"Disgorged in 2016, the NV Metodo Classico Dosaggio Zero Dubl Esse sees a blend of fruit from the 2010 and 2011 vintages. All of the wine stays on the lees for three years, but only a quarter of the wine is aged in oak for six months. This is a new product from Feudi di San Gregorio with super-modern packaging and immediate appeal. The palate is fresh and zesty with endnotes of stone fruit, honey and toasted nut." Robert Parker
