Delicately creamy on the palate, fills the palate wonderfully, again pears and citrus, prances properly over the tongue with fine perlage and lasts quite long with good freshness. Fine as an aperitif or as an accompaniment to fish starters. SUPERIORE.DE

“SOLCO” Lambrusco dell’Emilia IGT 2019 semisecco

Dark cherry red with violet reflections. Intense fragrance of sweet, pickled Amarena cherries and sour cherries, with delicate herbal spice, very inviting. On the palate again sweet fruit, embedded in fine pearling mousseux, long lasting and fresh, with animating acidity in the finish. Fine aperitif, but also very good as an accompaniment to hearty pasta dishes. SUPERIORE.DE

“PIRIA” Lambrusco di Sorbara DOC 2019 secco

Bright ruby red. In the fragrance a small fruit basket with red berries and cherries, delicately floral after violet. Rather full-bodied, very dry with fine fruit and extremely fine sparkling mousseux, lingers long, very finely balanced. The winery recommended it with tortellini in Brodo - we can only agree, perfect match. SUPERIORE.DE

    • "RADICE" Lambrusco di Sorbara DOC 2019 secco

“RADICE” Lambrusco di Sorbara DOC 2019 secco

Out with the cliché, in with the surprise! Even the most famous Lambrusco plant of the Paltrinieris will fill every connoisseur with joy. Radice is produced using the Pét Nat method (Metodo Ancestrale) and therefore undergoes a second fermentation on its own yeast after bottling.

This naturally cloudy, dry Frizzante convinces already on the nose with notes of rhubarb, a fresh citrus note and some bread. The persistent, fine perlage and its drinkable nature make it a racy companion for hearty, spicy antipasti, light meat dishes or simply a lively celebration in the midst of nature and happy people. SUPERIORE.DE

"This copper-red Frizzante is a natural work of art: tasting a little like rhubarb and raspberries, dry - and cloudy like a wheat beer, because it has been fermented to the end in the bottle and not disgorged. It is sealed with a crown cap (like all champagnes before disgorging). The liveried waiter in the chic restaurant in Sardinia opened the bottle as openly at the table as the Köbes in Cologne opened the beer. Right on!" Dr. Jens Priewe (weinkenner.de)

"Pale salmon pink; pastry notes, fine rubbery, arouses curiosity; smooth foam, very fine, practically dry, fruit depth, length, very pleasant (with yeast)." (JLF) Merum

"Cloudy apricot. In the nose after yeast, ripe tangerines, peach, fragrant floral echo. On the palate of medium weight, dry and yet with a beautiful fruit sweetness, uncomplicated and flawless, really puts you in a good mood." Falstaff

    • "LECLISSE" Lambrusco di Sorbara DOC 2019 secco

“LECLISSE” Lambrusco di Sorbara DOC 2019 secco

A genuine Lambrusco cru from the 15 hectare vineyard "Vigna del Cristo", which received a 2nd fermentation according to the Charmat method for 3 months in pressure tank.

Salmon pink. Smells of pink grapefruit and subtle raspberries. Bold, fresh, lively and dry as dust on the palate - perfect for friends of "zero dosage". Very fine perlage, which also lasts for a long time. Sounds long after with finely tart fruit. Ideal as an aperitif, with mussels, oysters and cold fish starters. SUPERIORE.DE

"Intense, brilliant apricot. Smells of tangerine zests, blood oranges, also slightly of pink grapefruit underlined by a slightly smoky tone. On the palate very precise and dry, well integrated acidity and perlage, balanced, elegant, harmonious finish." Falstaff

    About the winemakers
    Paltrinieri
    Emilia-Romagna
    Paltrinieri

A vineyard with fifteen hectares of vineyards is almost ridiculously small in Emilia-Romagna. Nevertheless, Alberto Paltrinieri and his wife Barbara decided to continue the tradition of his grandfather, who founded the company in 1926. And yet to do almost everything in a completely different way.

Nobody dared to press a pure Lambrusco in the late 1980s. Then, a little later, to go one step further and select grapes from individual vineyards, as in the French "Cru" system. The two dared to do so, bet on the extremely delicate and in need of care grape variety Sorbara, and went to almost unbelievable lengths in the slightly hilly country between the two rivers Secchia and Panaro. Working hours like in a Mosel steep slope. To produce Lambrusco. The "bubble" that had just reached the low point of his image. They were called complete nutjobs. Who wants pure Sorbara Lambrusco, and that from a single vineyard? Absurd. You can't earn anything with that.

But quality prevails after all. And so it soon rained awards all the way to the coveted three glasses, the "tre bicchieri" of the famous Italian wine guide Gambero Rosso. It also brought reputation. Not only the Paltrinieris, but the whole region around Cristo di Sorbara. And slowly the wine world at Lambrusco no longer began to think of sweet dark supermarket sparkling wine, but of light, pink and above all dry Lambrusco, just a Sorbara. Fine fruity, with fine mousseux. In different variations, from Charmat pressure tank fermentation to the "Metodo Classico" spumante in bottle fermentation, as in Champagne.

The relaunch was a success that hardly anyone would have believed in. And one of the pioneers was Paltrinieri. The portfolio ranges from Bianco with Trebbiano and white fermented Sorbara to the red Solco from the grape variety Salamino and the pure Sorbara. Lambrusco Sorbara in purezza. Forget everything you've ever heard about Lambrusco! SUPERIORE.DE
