“Pairolero” Barbera d’Alba Superiore DOC 2021
Purple-red colour with black-violet reflections. Wonderfully concentrated and extracted Barbera with the right blend of power, fruit and juiciness. Some plum jam, black chocolate and spices combine to create a dark fruity firework of flavours, framed by finely polished tannins and accompanied by a long finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Simultaneously lush and fluid, with flavours of black cherry, blackcurrant, earth and toasted spice that blend seamlessly. Balanced, with a firm, juicy finish that defines the fruit and oak accents." Wine Spectator
"The 2021 Barbera d'Alba Superiore Pairolero is a heady, explosive wine. Black cherry, new leather, licorice, cloves and gravel infuse the Barbera with so much flavor intensity. Bright acids lend quite a bit of energy throughout. The 2021 is incredibly promising." Vinous

“Monte Grande” Soave Classico DOC 2021 (BIO)
"This wine comes from my family's historic vineyard. It is a wine that is the result of long reflection, study and experimentation, where nothing has been left to chance: Monte Grande is to be my great Soave wine." Graziano Prà
Monte Grande is the house's white cru and a blend of 70% Garganega and 30% Trebbiano di Soave of great complexity with ideal ageing potential. Deep bouquet of exotic fruits and rocks with a fine citrus note. Multi-layered and spicy on the palate, intense and sharply focussed, with mineral notes and a pretty salty core. Beautifully crafted acidity, with notes of orange zest and almonds on the long finish. A terrificmasterpiece! SUPERIORE.DE
"Ripe fruit on the nose, from pineapple to gooseberry and a hint of snowberry. Medium-bodied with a gentle honey note competing with stony minerals that colour the finish. A powerful Monte Grande." James Suckling
"A rich petrol note on the nose that underlines the flavours of blood orange, pink grapefruit granita, blanched almonds and white flowers on the palate. The generous, expressive profile of this wine is well tamed by well-balanced acidity and a hint of salinity on the finish." Wine Spectator
"A vibrant mix of wild flowers, yellow apples and ground ginger form a captivating bouquet as the Soave Classico Monte Grande 2021 blossoms in the glass. It is round and supple, with cooling minerality and fresh acidity that gives a wonderful lift to ripe stone fruit and minty herbal notes. A hint of lime and a saline note give the 2021 a lovely finish that is long and colourful, but graceful and floral. What a treasure." Vinous
"Aromas of an elegant bouquet of white blossoms, crushed stones and ripe apricots. Its palate elegantly navigates between a silky texture and a vibrant acidity, culminating in a flinty minerality that captures the essence of the Soave landscape." Wine Enthusiast

“La Grola” Rosso Veronese IGT 2020
La Grola is the eponymous, historic vineyard where Corvina, the indigenous grape of Valpolicella, is believed to have originated. The replanting of the vineyard by Giovanni Allegrini triggered an agronomic revolution and laid the foundations for the success of this wine-growing region, which today stands for convincing, great red wines from north-east Italy.
Dense, dark ruby red in colour, very rich and powerful on the nose with notes of wild and overripe berries. The rich fullness of coffee to black cherries is underlined by present, pleasant tannins. SUPERIORE.DE
"Rich ruby colour with a dark core and fine garnet-red rim. Multi-layered bouquet of dark chocolate, cassis, underpinned by fine spice. Velvety texture on the palate, harmonious and round, concentrated fruit and pronounced length." Falstaff
"The 2020 La Grola shows ripe fruit, some herbal notes in the background, liquorice, tar and gentle spices. This simple red wine has a slightly wild side with fresh acidity and a whistling, clean finish. La Grola paints a more concentrated picture of Corvina, a grape usually used in traditional Amarone blends." Wine Advocate
"The 2020 La Grola is dark, brooding and complex, tempting the imagination with notes of spiced blood orange, cloves, dark chocolate and dried black cherries. It’s soft textured and more lifted than expected, with brisk acidity and a wave of tart wild berry fruit that slowly saturates. It tapers off with tension, puckering the cheeks with a primary concentration of fine-grained tannins that lingers on. The 2020 is an intense La Grola that will require patience." Vinous
"An elegant red wine with fine tannins that blend seamlessly with the ripe flavours of black and red cherries. Accents of smoked tobacco, rosehip, cocoa powder and aniseed run through the fruit profile, and a subtle, mineral hint of fresh earth and iron lingers on the finish." Wine Spectator
"La Grola has been an integral part of the Allegrini family since 1989. This blend of 90% Corvina and 10% Oseleta opens with aromas of black plums, preserved black cherries, cloves, cinnamon, black pepper and violets. As the wine progresses, notes of cedar, cigar box and tobacco develop. On the palate, rich, black-coloured fruit dances with taut, well-structured tannins, while savoury and earthy notes add to the fascination." Wine Enthusiast
"A single vineyard whose fruit comes from a historically important site that is quite steep and calcareous and slopes down towards the Adige. No dried grapes. The tannins of the Oseleta are hard, firm and powerful on the attack. However, the mid-palate is round and energetic, softening any impression of stiffness as it expands aniseed, mint, leather varnish and dark, saturated berry fruit. This is a very good wine made for the cellar." James Suckling
"Podere La Grola, Sant'Ambrogio in Valpolicella, Corvina with a small proportion of Oseleta, which undergoes malolactic fermentation and matures in barriques. Liquorice, blackberry jam and lime on the nose, salty-sweet on the palate, with a fruity finish and slightly iodised final." Luca Gardini

“Pietradolce” Rosso Etna DOC 2021
Pietradolce Rosso is reminiscent of an elegant red from Burgundy. Sparkling, intense garnet red colour. Light, aromatic tones of cherry, raspberry, slate, cigar tobacco and cedar wood, medium-bodied and very energetic on the palate, flavoursome fruit, salty, balanced and long. Be sure to aerate! SUPERIORE.DE
"A well-balanced red, lightly chewy and fresh, offering a juicy range of ripe black cherry and mineral elements, with hints of red licorice, dried flowers and milled white pepper." Wine Spectator
"The ferrous and mineral notes of earth, brick and iron on the nose are accompanied by a fruity note of cherries and strawberries that continues on the palate, with some additional spicy notes of black peppercorns and red chilli flakes. An earthy note accompanies the whole wine and is balanced by a lively acidity." Wine Enthusiast
"Seductive from the first sip, the 2021 Etna Rosso opens slowly to reveal dried strawberries, lavender, incense and spice. It is luxuriously round and soothing, with ripe red and blue fruits that flow easily across the palate. The 2021 finishes long and powerful, but is only lightly structured. Sincere citrus and liquorice notes slowly fade. It is a nice introduction to Etna and the style of the Pietradolce house." Vinous
"Light, bright ruby red with slightly brightening edges. Flint, redcurrants, black tea and a slight hint of blood orange on the nose. Very fresh and juicy on the palate, with a clear structure, well-integrated tannins and pressure on the palate." Falstaff

Friulano Collio DOC 2022
Schiopetto's Friulano is youthfully unobtrusive with a pretty bouquet that blends lemon peel with mint and hints of crushed rock. It washes over the palate with a tense mix of citrusy acids and salty minerals, while a core of tropical melon develops towards the end. Finishes on a more delicate note, but long and with pretty inner flowers that still linger. The beautiful balance and underlying power of this wine will guarantee good ageing in the bottle. The best is yet to come. SUPERIORE.DE
"Hawthorn blossom on the nose and then that indefinable, seamless, petal-wax smoothness-that-is-Friulano on the palate. It has Friulano's macadamia-nut-carved-into-flower smooth, sweet, floral oiliness. Kind of hard to define, kind of delicate, kind of ploppy (like fat rain drops). Poached-pear sweetness. A wine that would be delicious with anything soft and green and drenched in buttery beurre blanc. Wonderful with cold, minty lamb sausages." Jancis Robinson
"Lithe and well-balanced, this mouthwatering white has lively hints of grapefruit zest, milled white pepper and lemon thyme underscoring juicy tangerine, peach skin and lentil notes." Wine Spectator
"The 2022 Friulano wafts up with a delicate bouquet, blending minty herbs and wet stone with green apples and lime zest. This flows across the palate with ease, crisp and cool-toned in feel, with saline mineral tones adding a tactile feel as candied citrus notes resonate throughout. It finishes clean and with medium length, leaving a salty sensation and the mouth watering for more." Vinous
"Oyster shell, light flint, match stick, dried pear, and apple puree aromas and flavors. Medium to full body. Layered. Very minerally. Tight and focused. Serious." James Suckling

“Le Difese” Toscana IGT 2021
Le Difese is the freshest and most accessible of the three wines from San Guido. For us, it is one of Tuscany's finest price-quality wonders. Magnificent, sweetly perfumed fruit aromas in the opulent bouquet, equally generous and broad in the long-lasting flavour of dark cherries, wild strawberries and tangy rosehips. Le Difese shows the estate's great class in a more playful way. SUPERIORE.DE
"This red delivers cherry, berry and rose flavors shaded by earth and a touch of minerality. Tips to the tannic side on the finish, with fine length." Wine Spectator
"Le Difese 2021 is predominantly Sangiovese (55%), departing from the traditional 70/30 split in favour of Cabernet Sauvignon. The third generation of Tenuta San Guido, Priscilla Incisa della Rocchetta, explained that this decision was made to enhance the "local Tuscan" character of the wine and improve its drinkability at an early stage as a "first step into the world of Tenuta San Guido". While the Cabernet is grown on the estate, the Sangiovese is, as always, sourced from long-standing partners in Chianti Rufina. Bright, incredibly vibrant red, black and blue fruits are accompanied by subtle, fine-grained tannins with notes of wood and chocolate. It is simultaneously juicy, tangy and crisp, with good ripeness and great acidity." Decanter
"The 2021 Le Difese smells of crushed red berries, rose petals, lavender, spices and sweet pipe tobacco. The 2021 is medium-bodied, but beautifully complex and impeccably balanced. Even at this early stage, it is a real pleasure. In many vintages, Le Difese is a fruity, forward wine, but the 2021 has a classic flavour that is very appealing. It is one of my favourite vintages of recent years. As has been the case for some time, Le Difese is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon from the estate and Sangiovese purchased from various estates in Chianti Classico, with the energy of the Sangiovese coming through very strongly in this vintage." Vinous
"Dark, sparkling ruby red colour. Opens up on the nose to ripe sour cherry and blueberries, followed by notes of sage and wood spice. Flattering on the palate, with pithy tannins and concentrated fruit, pleasant right through to the lingering final." Falstaff

“Torrione” Rosso Toscana IGT 2021 (BIO)
Bright ruby red with brick-red reflections. Plums and sour cherries on the nose, accompanied by tobacco nuances and dried violet flowers. The fine-meshed tannins combine wonderfully with the notes of red fruit and liquorice on the finish. Very juicy, clear and well-balanced. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright, rich ruby red colour. Gentle and inviting nose of ripe cherry, light spice, some candle wax, red apple, sealing wax, precious wood. Juicy on the palate, with pithy tannins, well-integrated acidity, drinky, cheeky, slightly salty on the final." Falstaff
"The Torrione 2021 is one of the best wines of recent years. Bright acids drive through a core of red cherry/plum, blood orange, new leather and spice. The purity of the flavours is impressive. I especially admire the energy of this wine. This is a rare Torrione that I would cellar for at least a year or two." Vinous
"It shows dark fruit with bramble, tree bark, blue flower and sweet cherry. The wine offers mid-weight intensity with a long, silky mouthfeel. There is a point of bright acidity at the end, and even a hit of chili spice." Wine Advocate
"Bright and full of cherry, raspberry and floral notes, this red wine is harmonious and expressive. The finish shows accents of earth, graphite and tobacco, with a beautiful length and compact, chalky tannins." Wine Spectator
"The nose is like a cool, damp forest, with dark berries, fresh earth, but with a quiet rumble of warmth and savoury undertones, and the palate balances cool and warm, sweet and savoury, buoyant but indulgent. Valdarno delivers in every price range, but this one is a particularly good deal." Wine Enthusiast
"Inviting aromas of dark and blue fruits along with subtle notes of chocolate and spice with hints of blue flowers and crushed stones. Medium to full-bodied, complex and structured, but at the same time ethereal and weightless. Here, generosity meets delicacy. It is fluid, dynamic and immediately drinkable, but it is better to give it a few more years in the bottle." James Suckling

“Selezione Sergio Zenato” Lugana Riserva DOC 2020
Brilliant golden yellow. On the nose, complex notes of light peach, fresh pineapple and poached apricot. On the palate, rich, creamy with accents of smoke and toasted almonds. The finish is long, mineral and herbal. This very focused and complex white paints a pretty portrait of the refined side of the Trebbiano di Lugana grape, which is growing in popularity. SUPERIORE.DE
"Rich straw yellow with a golden yellow core. Very filigree on the nose, candied oranges, ripe honeydew melon and camomile, flint and light spice. Creamy texture on the palate, mineral stretches across the palate, ripe fruit core, some vanilla, distinct use of wood on the final." Falstaff
"A subtle burst of vanilla bean and almond paste gives way to a refined and pretty blend of crushed apples, lemon oil and spices as the 2020 Lugana Riserva Sergio Zenato comes to life in the glass. The Lugana Riserva Sergio Zenato is silky and smooth, with a textural wave of ultra-ripe fruit perfectly balanced by salty minerals and tongue-twisting acidity. The 2020 lasts incredibly long while remaining wonderfully fresh, with hints of citrus custard and sweet spice still lingering. The Riserva Sergio Zenato strikes a beautiful balance between the influence of oak and the zesty character of Trebbiano di Lugana." Vinous
"It has been aged on its lees, which adds a mealy almond and sharp mineral undercurrent to the stone fruit notes. While the hint of cedar is quite obvious, there is depth and impressive savouriness, not to mention good length. It should age well over the medium term." James Suckling
"A toasty white wine with a rich array of flavours of pear tart, quince paste, toasted almonds and lemon meringue, well defined and enlivened by supple acidity and salty minerality. Medium to full-bodied, with a long, delicious finish." Wine Spectator
"Pure Trebbiano from the old vineyards of Podere Massoni near Peschiera del Garda. Notes of bergamot on the nose, then jasmine, chamomile and a hint of basil. Crisp, taut, with nice acidity and a long finish." Luca Gardini

Rosso di Montalcino DOC 2021
Mastrojanni's rich and concentrated Rosso di Montalcino displays deep red fruits and dusty flowers with hints of white smoke and liquorice. It soothes with a deep, silky texture that is offset by tart red berries and savoury spices over a bracing acidity. Finishes rosy with a hint of sour citrus and sweet, polished tannins that frame the experience beautifully. SUPERIORE.DE
"Fresh, with cherry, plum and earth flavors, this red shows breadth and a vibrant structure. Harmonious and ready to enjoy, with a firm, lingering finish." Wine Spectator
"The Mastrojanni 2021 Rosso di Montalcino has lovely fruit and an approachable style with sweet cherry, redcurrant, toasted almond, dragon fruit and a hint of wet tarmac. The wine pumps on two fronts with a sweet, fruity side and a husky side of walnut or chestnut skin." Wine Advocate
"The 2021 Rosso di Montalcino smells of a dark, seductive blend of sweet herbs, menthol and tobacco that combine with dried cherries and redcurrants. This is an elegant and seductive effort with velvety textures and depths of ripe red and black fruits, underscored by savoury minerals and spice. The finish is structured and long, showing considerably more depth than the average 2021 Rosso. It ends with fine-grained tannins and a balsamic hint." Vinous

“Grave di Stecca” Vino Spumante 2016 brut
Grave di Stecca is Nino Franco's exposed single vineyard on the slopes of the Prealpi. The south-facing vineyard is planted exclusively with the Prosecco grape Glera. Brilliantly shiny white gold, gently emerging perlage, a bouquet of sage with a fresh fruit scent. Very pleasantly dry on the palate, silky and long - the undisputed great top growth of the renowned Prosecco forge. SUPERIORE.DE
"Powerful bright lemon yellow with green accents. Distinctive aroma of delicate herbs (thyme), ripe pineapple and passion fruit, plus fine brioche notes and nut butter. Builds up richly, fills the entire palate, delicate and multi-layered in the drink, coherent, also complex and long-lasting in the finish." Falstaff
"Lush aromas of glazed apples and baked nectarines are well defined by a bright, lively acid structure in this elegant example. The texture is soft and creamy, with fragrant notes of lime zest, Earl Grey tea and graphite in the mid-palate and finish, with a hint of fleur de sel melting on the finish." Wine Spectator
"On the nose, a rich blend of cider apple, yuzu and hints of green tea and almond. Very fruity on the palate too, with a medium fizz and a tasty, spicy finish. Lots of character." James Suckling
"The 2016 Brut Grave di Stecca displays a brilliant golden colour in the glass, with a stunning bouquet of peach jam and sweetly spiced flowers, contrasted by wild herbs and crushed stone. The texture is creamy yet edgy, with zesty acidity that pinches the cheeks, but also an abundance of ripe fruit trees and floral scents that arch across the palate. It leaves a hint of ginger and a bitter hint of roasted hazelnuts, but the finish is one of cleansing freshness. The 2016 is not about power or fruit, but delicacy and graceful impact. I love it. Grave di Stecca is a single vineyard in the hills of Valdobbiadene with old Glera vines." Vinous
"Light and airy, this lovely sparkling wine has inviting aromas of ripe white stone fruit, spring flowers and baking spices. On the dry, foamy palate, elegant perlage and fresh acidity accompany ripe yellow apples, Bartlett pear, vanilla cake cream and a hint of white almond." Wine Enthusiast
"Grave di Stecca represents both the best of Prosecco – specifically Valdobbiadene – and the best of what is not ‘Prosecco’; the authorities refused to certify it as DOCG due to its atypical style, so to this day Nino Franco bottles it as a vino spumante in protest. The grapes are sourced from the walled Grave di Stecca vineyard, the site of the family residence, purchased by Franco in 1991. Super-aromatic and exotically scented, with passion fruit and ripe banana, in the mouth it’s very mineral and earthy, intense and rich but well sculpted. Tropical and spicy, it’s slightly creamy – almost mushroomy – with a lip-smacking saline finish. This wine can age well thanks to extended lees ageing of the base wines then long maturation in bottle before release." Decanter

“Brolio” Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG 2020
Everything is just right here: Brolio Riserva is classic in its composition, in its ageing, in its overall impression from the label to the last sip. Velvety, dense ruby colour, dense nose with rich fruit, especially blackberry, some elderberry and a beautiful herbal spice. Juicy and supple on the palate, the finish is polished with fine-grained tannins and a long-lasting final. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright ruby red colour. Dark berries on the nose, fine, spicy notes with a blood orange aftertaste. Medium structure on the palate, polished, present tannins, fresh acidity, lingering finish." Falstaff
"This Chianti Classico is a savoury version with aromas of green olive, tomato leaf, iron and tobacco clustered around a core of macerated cherry fruit. Although lean and sinewy, it is also intense and focused, with a lingering aftertaste that feels the pull of both the savoury and fruity sides." Wine Spectator
"A firm and fresh Chianti Classico with a light to medium body, sour cherries, orange peel and hints of sandalwood. Crunchy finish." James Suckling
"The 2020 Chianti Classico Riserva Brolio is a dark, brooding wine. Black cherry, licorice, sage, tobacco, incense and leather fill out the layers as this strapping Riserva shows off its imposing personality. This is nicely done." Vinous
"In the bottle with the black label, this is a very pretty, relatable and well-priced wine from Tuscany. Made with 100% Sangiovese, the 2020 Chianti Classico Riserva Brolio offers blueberry, plum and sweet spice thanks to 18 months of tonneaux aging. I especially appreciate the wine's pronounced mineral signature that gives the wine a salty or savory side, which is perfect for food pairing." Wine Advocate
"Its versatile aroma is reminiscent of redcurrants, Mediterranean maquis, peony and pepper leaf. Sip with powerful tannins, tension and juiciness, finish with a fruity-floral return." Luca Gardini

Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG 2019 (BIO)
Monica Raspi produces her Riserva from a single vineyard with the oldest vines of the winery, planted in 2000. The east-facing vineyard lies at an altitude of 350 metres and the soil is poor and stony with many limestone deposits. With its subtle bouquet, it slowly but surely seduces with aromas of raspberries, cherries and thyme flowers. The palate is wonderfully elegant, with a stony minerality and a tangy, appetising backbone. Terracotta-like tannins sneak up and envelop the fruit rather than undermine it. This is how pristine and good Chianti Classico Riserva goes! SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2019 Chianti Classico Riserva Vigna Pomona is bursting with wild cherry, smoke, licorice, tobacco, game, incense and mocha. This somber, potent Riserva packs tons of intensity into its full-bodied frame. Graphite, lavender, sage and dried flowers linger on the imposing finish. I would give this a year or two in bottle." Vinous
"A concentrated red wine with aromas of cherry, plum, iron, eucalyptus and resin. Straightforward and taut, with refined tannins for support. Complex and lively, with a firm, long finish." Wine Spectator
"The oak remains very much in the background, allowing the fruit to come through fully. It's beautifully weighted with red and blackcurrants wrapped in terracotta-like tannins and balanced by lively, crisp acidity. Damp earth, green herbs and stony minerals slowly emerge. With time, this wine will show more of its generous side." Decanter

“Giatl” Pinot Grigio Riserva Alto Adige DOC 2021
Wonderful Pinot Gris Riserva from selected individual vineyards on the valley floor around the village centre of Kurtinig an der Weinstraße. Giatl matures in small wooden barrels for 12 months on the lees, which gives it complexity and finesse. Straw to golden yellow in the glass, with a powerful bouquet of ripe yellow fruit, strong, balanced and slightly salty in flavour. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2021 Pinot Grigio Riserva Giatl opens with a gentle sweetness. Chamomile notes complement wildflowers and crushed yellow apples. This is soothingly round with ripe orchard fruits and sweet spices flowing across a zesty acidic stream. Gingery spices add a savory tension through the close. The 2020 finishes tense and with medium length." Vinous
"Graceful and finely meshed, with a silky texture. With detailed flavours of ripe peach and yellow plum, chamomile, broom, lemon wax and blanched almonds, this wine is fresh and concentrated through to the lightly spiced finish." Wine Spectator
"Apple slices, peaches, grapefruit, cloves and blanched almonds on the nose. Creamy and fresh, medium to full-bodied, with a subtle spiciness and a delicious finish." James Suckling

“Formula 1” Metodo Classico Trento DOC brut · in gift box
Ferrari on the podium after every Grand Prix is the dream of every Tifoso. This has actually been happening since 2021, but not quite in the way Ferrari fans had imagined. Since 2021, Formula 1 has no longer been spraying champagne, but the finest Trento DOC sparkling wine, and Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali has signed a corresponding agreement with Gruppo Lunelli. For Ferrari, it is a return to Formula 1, as the family business founded in 1902 supplied the winning sparkling wine for the 1980 Italian GP in Imola.
Here comes the Formula 1 edition of the fine traditional Brut from the Lunelli family, who work tirelessly on the authenticity of their Trentino Spumante. A wide range of aromas and an elegant flavour with a good structure offer first-class enjoyment, and not just on official Formula 1 race days! SUPERIORE.DE
"A hint of nuttiness that underlines the flavours of preserved lemon and pear. Redcurrant richness, creamy, rich and round, with impressive mousse and tangy red apple bite. The well-formed and well-integrated bubbles give the wine a creamy texture that melds with the richness of the fruit. Sweet spices and nougat cream on the finish. Great stuff." Decanter
"The Brut Trento opens with a blend of dusty dried flowers, cardamom and freshly sliced pears. It fills the palate with a silky bead of fine bubbles and takes on a savoury to sweet sensation, while tactile mineral tones mingle with ripe fruit trees. It finishes with admirable length and candied citrus fruits that taper off remarkably fresh. I love the balance and complexity of this wine, especially for a non-vintage brut. Vinous
"A refined and expressive sparkler in an aperitif style, this is bright and buoyant on the palate, with the fine, lacy mousse carrying a mouthwatering range of pineapple, mandarin orange peel and white cherry fruit, accented by ground ginger, white blossoms and fleur de sel." Wine Spectator

Lagrein Riserva "Furggl" comes from rather clayey soils in the area around Auer/Ora and is a spicy, elegant wine with an intense aroma of violets and wild berries. Clean, fruity and rich flavour with sweet tannins, precisely calibrated acidity and a well articulated finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"The flavours of macerated blackberries and juicy black cherries are underlined by a spicy hint of herbal olives, ground pepper and mineral notes. This medium-bodied red wine is dark but fresh, with good tension from the fine-meshed, taut tannins." Wine Spectator
"The 2021 Lagrein Riserva Furggl is dark, nearly feral in the glass, with a woodsy blend of wild berries, earth tones and peppery herbs. This soothes with its juicy acidity, as silky textures wash across the palate, delivering masses of tart red and blue berries. Grippy tannins emerge through the finish as the 2021 tapers off structured and long with a lingering primary concentration." Vinous
"A full-bodied red with blueberries, cassis, dark chocolate, hazelnuts and rosemary on the nose. Firm yet creamy, with a solid tannin structure and a velvety texture that carries you through. Long and polished. Drink or keep." James Suckling

“Santa Cecilia” Nero d’Avola Sicilia Noto DOC 2020
Deep, bright ruby red in colour. This 100% Nero d'Avola is a captivating wine with its full-bodied, fruity and spicy aroma of blackcurrants, cherries, undergrowth, liquorice and dark chocolate. The soft but firm, multi-layered and warm flavour of ripe berries, the fine spice and the fine tannins are very appealing. SUPERIORE.DE
"It is a well-made Nero d'Avola with a purity and freshness in its ripe character of red and black berries and cherries. Intense and savoury, with tangy acidity, it shows juicy cherries and black fruits along with notes of chocolate and balsamic and mouth-coating tannins. Full and rich in fruit, but quite vertical in style, it is a lively and storable example of what can be achieved with this typical Sicilian grape." Decanter
"The 2020 Santa Cecilia, a single varietal Nero d'Avola, rises from the glass with a dark and brooding blend of crushed plums, cloves, stone dust and a hint of camphor. It's round and supple with juicy acidity that retains a lovely energy, and bright red and blue fruits spill across the palate. The 2020 finishes with a bitter touch of savoury spice and a hint of sour citrus, while a layer of fine tannins lingers. The 2020 is a very beautiful and balanced wine for medium-term cellaring." Vinous
"Bright and fragrant, with a lush creaminess that carries flavours of strawberry jam, dried cherries, tar, tea roses and singed orange peel. Well-spiced and minerally, with slightly chalky tannins that provide fine definition." Wine Spectator
"The Santa Cecilia 2020 is one of Sicily's iconic wines, a Nero d'Avola clothed in elegance and precision. The wine is softly structured and multi-layered with dark fruits, black cherries, spices and sweet tobacco. The Santa Cecilia takes a classic approach with a balance between generous fruit and carefully managed oak." Wine Advocate
"Aromas of blackberries, flowers and dark earth with a hint of fresh black mushrooms. Medium to full body with round and creamy tannins and a delicious undertone. Just a hint of vanilla bean underneath the fruit." James Suckling
"The nose starts bubbly and sweet, with aromas of black plums, cherry and vanilla, then turns savory but still crackly, with notes of pencil shavings, pepper, graphite and leather. The palate doubles back toward juicy fruit with figs and more plums, then shifts again toward that sanguine earthiness, but textured tannins and almost silky acid unify the whole." Wine Enthusiast

“Varvàra” Rosso Bolgheri DOC 2021
Here comes Varvàra, the convincing "second wine" from the Bolgheri shooting star, named in honour of BaroneVarvàra Wrangel. A wine in the style of the house: a rich, bright ruby colour with a garnet rim, a sophisticated bouquet with a finely pronounced ripe berry nose and beautiful herbal aromas. Warm on the palate, polished, tightly woven and of great elegance and refinement. SUPERIORE.DE
"Dark, almost impenetrable ruby red colour. Multi-layered bouquet with notes of dark chocolate, black pepper, juniper berries, opulent. Also powerful on the palate, with firm tannins, lots of dark fruit, juicy and persistent on the finish." Falstaff
"It shows notes of spiced cherries, blackcurrant leaf, dark chocolate and bark. Medium to full-bodied. It has a weighty core of dark berries with compact and fine tannins that melt into the wine. Focussed and long lasting." James Suckling
"This red wine is all about balance and texture, bringing out the aromas and flavours of blackcurrants, black cherries, liquorice, rosemary and iron. Refined tannins give the wine grip on the finish. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot." Wine Spectator
"The 2021 Bolgheri Rosso Varvàra shows inky black fruit and rich concentration with a hint of black olive or caper flower. This is another of the historic value wines of Bolgheri that is generous, thickly layered but also accessible. There is a hint of spice on the close that recalls black pepper and chili flake." Wine Advocate
"Pleasant variation on the theme, another wine of great sophistication. Redcurrant on the nose, with a hint of liquorice powder, peony and a touch of orange peel, crisp, salty on the palate, with a fruity and floral return, citrusy finish and beautiful persistence." Luca Gardini

“Pergolaia” Rosso Toscana IGT 2019 (BIO)
Pergolaia is mainly Sangiovese with smaller portions of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The wine opens with a medium-bodied attack and a bright bouquet characterised by notes of cherry, wild plum, ploughed earth and pressed blue flowers. Very Mediterranean in style and with a strong personality, this red coats the palate with delicate, silky intensity. SUPERIORE.DE
"Medium ruby red with a slightly lightening rim. In the nose restrained at the beginning, then tones of ripe cherry, wild strawberry and currant, in the aftertaste hints of violets, seems slightly icy. Elegant on the palate with supple tannin, multi-layered and with a long and exciting finish." Falstaff
"Sangiovese takes the lead in this blend with Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, giving it nerve and deep cherry flavours, while the French additions absorb the touch of oak. The result is velvety, finely textured and long. You can drink this now and for up to six years while you wait for the 'grand vin' 2019 to come round. Sheer class and with bags of Italian flair." Jancis Robinson
"A lush, opulent red, featuring blackberry, blueberry, plum, violet and black pepper flavors. Dense, with well-wrought tannins that add support and bolster the lingering finish." Wine Spectator
"Black olives, iodine, salted plums and blackberries here. It’s medium-bodied with firm, creamy tannins. Lovely creaminess, with fresh, savory and saline character." James Suckling
"The bouquet opens to red and purple fruits with wild plum, dried cherry, potting soil and pressed rose. Those floral tones and mild herbal signatures are what give this wine its very Mediterranean, easy-drinking personality." Wine Advocate

“La Fabriseria” Valpolicella Classico Superiore DOC 2019
La Fabriseria comes across as an elegant, medium-bodied Amarone. Its intensity, tannin structure and density are hard to beat in this price range. Very juicy on the palate, full-bodied and soft, with notes of cherries, cardamom and cloves. And always with the elegant seriousness of the Tedeschi family's great flagship of the same name. SUPERIORE.DE
"Very deep ruby red colour. Spicy notes of white pepper and tobacco on the nose, with hints of coffee and small red fruits. Full-bodied and intense in the mouth, soft, with character, personality and pronounced tannins on the finish, lingers for a long time." Falstaff
"Vibrant and fresh aromas of wild cherry and sour plum give way to exotic purple flower aromas and tobacco on the nose. The palate pops with tart red fruit notes followed by a mix of sweet and savory spices finishing with a bright pop of acidity." Wine Enthusiast
"A dense nose of dried fruit, mainly plums and black berries, which opens up a little on the medium-bodied palate, but the fruit is still essentially wrapped in a cocoon of fine, slightly drying tannin. This wine clearly needs more time in bottle to develop, but it shows great promise. Try decanting it now, but best from 2024." James Suckling
"The 2019 Valpolicella Classico Superiore La Fabriseria has sweet cherry syrup or crème de cassis that transitions to a savory side with hints of spice and tarry smoke. The wine presents bright flavors and enough structure to pair next to a heavy meat ragù and homemade pasta." Wine Advocate
"This is a long-standing and favourite Tedeschi production. The 2019 Valpolicella Classico Superiore La Fabriseria has sweet cherry syrup or crème de cassis that fades into a savoury side with hints of spice and tarry smoke." Wine Advocate
"The Valpolicella Superiore La Fabriseria 2019 is a real delight on the nose, with an opulent blend of crushed black cherries complemented by cinnamon, cloves and cocoa. It is silky and supple, with a lively acidity that further enlivens the ripe red fruit and inner spice. The 2019 tapers off with amazing length but also freshness, leaving a subtle train of fine tannins as the raspberry and liquorice notes slowly fade. This is a real crowd favourite." Vinous
"From grapes left to slightly over-ripen on the vine, with a portion of the fruit left uncrushed for fermentation, it has a deep and perfumed blackcurrant aroma with noticeable tannic structure overlaid by incredibly smooth and plush fruit. Despite this, it's light on its feet and well balanced despite the 15.5% alcohol, lifted on the finish by a touch of balsam." Decanter

"Intense ruby red with a slightly lighter rim. Subtle aromas of ripe sour cherry and preserved plums on the nose, with some spice and a touch of liquorice in the background. Well-balanced on the palate, with fine-grained tannins, drinky and a long final." Falstaff
"The nose blends rich fruit notes of cherry, pomegranate, blood orange and raspberry with a woody, earthy, slightly herbal savoriness. The cherries and blood orange star on the palate, with the savory elements continuing to make themselves known before a closing kick of chili heat. Vibrant acidity bounces around chalky tannins." "The Graci 2021 Etna Rosso shows a structured but lean personality with bright berry fruits, redcurrants and wild berries. The wine is balanced and fresh. It shows the specific volcanic character that only wines from the charred slopes of Mount Etna can deliver. It is made from Nerello Mascalese, which is harvested at 600 to 700 metres above sea level on ashy volcanic soils." Wine Advocate
"Pure and fresh aromas of red and black berries with a hint of petrichor lead to a bright and energetic palate with a nice concentration of tangy fruit. It's bold and vibrant and finishes with incisive, juicy acidity, balsamic and hints of spice and chocolate. Delicious and very good value." Decanter

It's comfortingly round with medium body and a salty mineral note up front that gives way to a depth of tart cherry berry flavours. “Philip” Rosso Toscana IGT 2020
After almost two centuries, it is time to erect a "monument" to the enthusiastic grape grower Philip Mazzei (1730-1816). In the form of this single-varietal Cabernet Sauvignon, this succeeds extraordinarily well. Elegant, deep dark colour, classic aromas, complex, fruity and spicy flavour, well-proportioned tannins and acidity, taut, structured and persistent. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2020 Philip (Cabernet Sauvignon) is a blend from vineyards in Castellina and Maremma. Rich and supple, the 2020 offers plenty of varietal character. Dark plum, menthol, liquorice and espresso are all present in this supple, resonant red. Attractive floral and spicy top notes brighten the finish." Vinous
"A bright, elegant red with cherry and blackcurrant flavours, with lively acidity and dusty tannins. Packs plenty of fruit, with hints of tobacco and wild herbs, despite the lean profile." Wine Spectator
"A layered nose leads with salt and pepper, then turns earthy, vegetal and woody, before finishing with black cherries and blackberries. On the synthesizing palate, a smudge of earth keeps the berries' freshness in check, before a swirling mocha finish ties everything up with a bow. Tannins and acid are harmonious throughout."
