    Set amongst the hills of Bibbona, where the vineyards of the Alta Maremma overlook the Tyrrhenian Sea, this characterful cuvée is the result of an ambitious project by the Antinori brothers. The name Insoglio is a poetic reference to the spots where wild boars root around in the ground – a symbol of the wild, unspoilt nature of the Maremma landscape. Composed mainly of Syrah, complemented by Petit Verdot, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine displays an intense purplish-red colour with violet highlights.

    The nose reveals notes of violets and wild berries, interlaced with characteristic peppery spice and Mediterranean scrub, including myrtle and rosemary. On the palate, it is enveloping and fresh, with polished tannins that create the perfect balance between terroir-driven character and elegant drinkability.     "Very bright black forest berries with hints of violet, raspberry jam and a touch of petrichor. Firm tannins, fine and powdery, even chewy. Fresh and vibrant with good concentration; it is quite vertical and dense, yet full of juice. Would pair well with game. Still very youthful." Decanter
