“Le Vigne Niche Contrada Montalto” Bianco Etna DOC 2022
This single-vineyard Carricante comes from the small Montalto vineyard on the southern slope of Etna at an altitude of around 950 metres. It is the most balanced and at the same time most exciting of all Etna Bianco from Terre Nere in terms of its overall impression and flavour; the whole Etna package is present here in exactly the right dose: Minerality, salinity, fruitiness and a perfect hint of orange peel and flint on the nose. On the palate, it is vibrant and fine, with an almost Burgundian dimension, full of finesse and length. SUPERIORE.DE
"Lovely dried apple and lemon with some mineral and stone character both on the nose and palate. It also shows some pumice. Medium body. Crisp and multi-layered." James Suckling
"It is soft, fleshy and peachy in flavour, yet with excellent acidity. Notes of stone and pineapple add vibrancy to this delicious, flavoursome white wine with no alcohol content." Decanter
"Spicy and full of tension, the 2022 Etna Bianco Le Vigne Niche Montalto bursts from the glass with a blend of lemon zest, minty herbs, young peaches and crushed rocks. This opens with a pretty inner sweetness and crisp minerality, rushing the palate with ripe orchard fruits elevated by candied citrus. The Montalto finishes with fantastic length and potency, lightly structured and tactile. This gorgeous Etna Bianco is drinking beautifully today yet with the balance to promote medium-term cellaring." Vinous

This Carricante from vines up to 100 years old from a small single vineyard gives no indication of its varietal and terroir origins. Fine fruity aroma, mineral and with a fresh sea breeze. Powerful, well-structured, a fine woody note, balanced and long flavour. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2022 Etna Bianco Le Vigne Niche Santo Spirito rises from the glass with a savoury blend of crushed green apples, wet stones and a hint of chamomile. The wine is silky and soothing, with flavours of ripe apricot and nectarine accompanied by sweet herbs and a hint of candied lime, carried by a lively acidity. The finish is long and lightly textured, leaving a mineral note and traces of Asian pear that slowly fade. I usually consider the Santo Spirito to be the more open and accessible Bianco from the Terre Nere portfolio, but in 2022 it holds its power in reserve." Vinous
"Santo Spirito Bianco is floral and light, with a distinct breeze of citrus, seashells and salt. Concentrated and intense, with a juicy, savoury attack, it is packed with citrus peel, white peach and flowers, yet remains light on its feet, stony and vertical. Soft and long." Decanter
"A very nice and typical white top Etna with aromas of dried apples, lemon shrub and lemongrass that develop into a medium to full body, with a nice fruit core and lots of undertones of nougat, lemon curd and ricotta. Multi-layered." James Suckling

"La Firma" - "The Signature". Gerardo Giuratrabocchetti's wines recall his father's notarial world with their names.
La Firma, a single varietal Aglianico aged in natural caves of volcanic tuff, carats and French oak barrels. Beautiful ruby red with bright violet reflections. Complex bouquet with aromas of small black berries, liquorice and hay. Powerful and very harmonious on the palate, characterised by velvety tannins and a long, balsamic finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Elegant, distinctive nose of black cherries and plums and complex liquorice notes. Dry and firm on the palate, long finish." Decanter
"A dark and peppery red with blueberries, peppercorns, blackcurrants, dark chocolate and dried herbs on the nose. It’s full-bodied, fine and focused, with fine-grained tannins. Excellent freshness, too." James Suckling
"The 2016 Aglianico del Vulture La Firma rises from the glass with an expectedly fresh but truly seductive and spicy bouquet that presents bright cherry berries, cinnamon, clove and sweet violet flowers. The palate is velvety-smooth as it leans more towards the spicy spectrum, with a depth of mineral blackcurrant complicated by spiced citrus peel, while purple flowers shine through within. The 2016 leaves a black hole of structure and primary concentration during the long and dramatic final, while nuances of raw honey and plum skin fade." Vinous

“Iskra Marina Cvetic” Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Riserva DOC 2019
The name Iskra comes from the Slavic language and means "spark". The name emphasises the uniqueness of a pair of wines that are able to seduce from the very first glass. Both Iskra wines have one characteristic in common: they have a great personality and their grapes each come from a single vineyard. With grapes typical of central Italy - Malvasia and Montepulciano from two of Abruzzo's favourite terroirs, Colline Teramane and Colline Pescaresi - both wines stand for their clear identity and origin.
The grapes for Iskra Rosso come from a vineyard in Controguerra in the province of Teramo. With its velvety softness and intense aromas of ripe red fruit, it represents one of the most famous terroirs in Abruzzo. It first matures in French oak barriques and then for a long time in the bottle. Complex and full-bodied with lively notes of blackberries, plums, blueberries and berries. Goes perfectly with roasts, stews or rich and flavoursome dishes. SUPERIORE.DE
"The nose balances an earthy herbaceousness with fruit undertones of strawberries, candied cherries and dried cranberries. On the palate, dense, taut tannins and formidable acid provide framing for a powerful, salty dark chocolate note, but lingering dried red berries provide some levity." Wine Enthusiast
"The grapes for Iskra come from a vineyard in the Colline Teramane. It ages for 18 months in new barriques, giving the nose spice, tobacco and balsamic undertones. It has a structured palate, with enough softness to smooth the assertive tannins, and good ageing potential." Decanter
"Dark and brooding, the Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Riserva Iskra 2019 develops slowly. Hints of cloves and mocha complicate the flavours of dried black cherries and sage. It is elegant and refined, with polished red and blue fruits supported by a mineral core, while sweet wood spices emerge towards the finish. The 2019 is structured with fine-grained tannins that saturate as cocoa and balsamic spices slowly fade away. This tight Iskra is made for the cellar." Vinous

“3 Cru” Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG 2018
The latest addition to the Guerrieri Rizzardi Amarone family comes from three cru vineyards in the municipality of Negrar, including the best Calcarole vineyard. The grapes are dried in the Pojega drying rooms for 3-5 months without any technical aids. 3 Cru is available earlier than Villa Rizzardi or Calcarole and offers complex dark fruit flavours with a very pleasant sweet spiciness on the palate. Fresh and lively, it glides into a respectable finish with plenty of character. SUPERIORE.DE
"Rich ruby colour with a dark core, fine garnet notes on the rim. Inviting and clear nose of preserved cherries and plums, with some liquorice in the background. Compact and full-bodied in attack and finish, lots of dark cherry, juicy, then unfolds with gripping, dense tannins, juicy, tobacco flavours on the final." Falstaff
"Very generous nose with aromas of dried fruit, roasted coffee and smoky nuances. Muscular tannins on the palate, rich." Decanter
"The Amarone della Valpolicella Classico 3 Cru 2018 smells of crushed raspberries, cloves and a hint of mint in the glass. On the palate, it is soft and supple, not as concentrated as you would expect, with pretty red fruits and floral notes. It finishes with medium length and slightly grippy tannins as the purple florals fade away on the inside. The 2018 benefits from the juice normally used to make the Riserva Calcarole." Vinous
"An attractive Amarone, harnessing clear red fruit and camphor, with tinges of alpine cool, anise and menthol and just the right amount of oak. Pliant and palpable but not excessive. This drinks very well. I’d age it just a little longer to take the heat off the sweet fruit, but with food it might not be necessary. Long, effusive and impressive." James Suckling

Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2018
Beautiful and very well-balanced red wine from the three main historical areas of Montalcino, which have different geoclimatic characteristics due to their different slopes and altitudes - and thus provide a unique balance between freshness and structure, body and elegance. Ruby red in colour with garnet hues, it opens immediately with a rich, complex nose. Initially dark cherry, chinotto orange and violet. It then opens up to broader, more complex notes of blueberry, vanilla, tobacco, cinnamon and chocolate with a subtle menthol finish. The primary fruit is surrounded by spice, grilled herbs and floral earth; nice length. SUPERIORE.DE
"Warm dark red; reductive, warm, ripe fruit flavours, inviting; juicy, fine, fruit, pleasant tannin, long." Merum
"Tart, somewhat dried-vegetable to herbaceous and a hint of tobacco on the nose, predominantly black berries with a hint of black olives and capers, cumin, fleshy traces and some smoke. Youthful, quite taut, juicy fruit, present, ripe tannins and a certain acid bite, roasted nuances, again also black olives, plus a little coffee and coffee grounds, salt in the background, quite firm structure, persistent, slightly chocolaty on a very good finish." Wein-Plus
"Sparkling, brilliant ruby red colour. Delicate orange zest, cedar wood, rosemary and rosehip on the nose, with a floral touch and cherry. Juicy, clear on the palate, with youthful tannins, savoury and accessible, showing a fine juicy-salty touch." Falstaff
"For the 2018 vintage, Val di Suga has rebranded its labels to reflect its updated approach in the vineyard and cellar. This includes a less oxidative style of Brunello that spends less time in wood and more time in the bottle. However, the estate's classic Brunello is still a blend of the three different vineyard sites in Montalcino. The smoky, autumnal nose has aromas of rooibos tea with hints of cranberry and rosehip. It's lean in shape, has strong acidity and offers a lovely sweetness of red berry fruit and flowers, while light tannins provide a graceful frame. Ready to drink." Decanter
"A filigree red wine with aromas and flavours of sweet red berries, rose, truffle, game and minerals, supported by firm but refined tannins, with a long finish. It is suitable for eating now, but will be even better in a year or two." Wine Spectator
"A solid product from a winery that has now reached a very reliable standard. Sour cherries on the nose, floral notes of peony and medicinal herbs, dried thyme, with a balsamic finish. Dense mouthfeel, spicy tannins, fruity finish." Luca Gardini
"The nose is a well-stocked kitchen, with coffee always ready, a decadent spice drawer and expensive balsamic, and the aromas of cherries and soil wafting in from the garden. On the palate, notes of vanilla and candied orange underscore the cherries' juicy sweetness, while the savory notes linger as undertones, before lithe tannins and hot acid usher in a long finish." “Della Bastonaca” Cerasuolo di Vittoria Classico DOCG 2019 (BIO)
The grapes for COS' new flagship wine come from vines over 45 years old and are fermented spontaneously on the skins, using only the naturally occurring yeasts. SUPERIORE.DE
"The Cerasuolo di Vittoria Bastonaca 2019 seduces with a delightful, pink-coloured bouquet reminiscent of wild strawberries, cloves and fresh mint. It is soft and gentle, with lively acidity and a core of lively ripe cherries and berries. It leaves a lovely aftertaste of red liquorice and a hint of spice and finishes remarkably fresh. The 2019 is delicious." Vinous
"This bottling is sourced from the estate's best parcels in the Bastonaca area of Vittoria. It offers up an inviting fragrance of dried and fresh red and black cherries, before diving into a sapid, super-fresh palate displaying wonderful dark cherry, pomegranate and wild strawberry flavours. There's some grip in the background, and a long finish. Wow! Such energy." Decanter
"Extremely perfumed with cherries, flowers and cement. Tantalising. Medium-bodied with creamy tannins that spread across the palate. Beautiful length and beauty." James Suckling
"Here's a wine I haven't seen for many years. The organic COS 2019 Cerasuolo di Vittoria Classico Contrada della Bastonaca is a blend of 60% Nero d'Avola and 40% Frappato. It has a medium-dark appearance with floral aromas of rose, candied lilac, sour cherry and unripe plums. The wine is very fresh and tangy with a nice mineral theme that gives it focus and definition." Wine Advocate

“Animardente” Rosso Etna DOC 2019
Animardente is a pure Nerello Mascalese produced from vines planted in bushes at an altitude of 700 metres on partly sandy and ashy, partly gravelly soils that are exposed to extreme temperature fluctuations between day and night. The name of the wine is derived from the bowels of the volcano, from its incessant activity, the heat and the colour of the magma. The vines grow in a kind of amphitheatre created by volcanic eruptions, which over the centuries have produced a valuable substrate for viticulture: On dark volcanic soils formed from lava flows, mainly free-living, rootless vines develop here, which are exposed to the most extreme climatic influences. Animardente was born a few years ago in this almost moon-like landscape. A name that tells of the soul of the silent volcano, unexpected and incandescent, breathing life into perpetual motion. An irrepressible and seductive force of nature, the expression of a unique terroir.
Animardente 2019 has a dark consistency and a beautifully saturated garnet red colour. The bouquet has a wildly romantic impression of spices, dried berries, cassis, lavender flowers and polished river rock. More concentrated on the palate than many of its Etna counterparts, yet with captivating elegance and harmony. Seductive, powerful, structured and authentic. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright ruby red with a sparkling centre. The nose is characterised by strong reduction, cold smoke, delicate red berry fruit, red currants, restrained overall. Clear on the palate with a juicy core, shows equally juicy tannins, also full-bodied pressure." Falstaff
"Raspberries, cola cubes and vanilla notes on the nose. Light, fresh and full-bodied, but with creamy tannins. Mouth-filling and bright with a certain lightness. Well balanced and juicy. Excellent food companion with not too high acidity, everything in balance. Easy to drink and enjoy." Decanter
"The Contrada Santo Spirito di Passopisciaro 2019 Etna Rosso Animardente offers dark fruits and a medium-bodied concentration. This particular density is a characteristic of this classic vintage. The wine offers fine tannins and Etna-specific flavours of wild berries, cassis, wild roses and ashy minerality. This wine is accessible, open and goes well with grilled meat. The fruit comes from 70-year-old Alberello vines that grow at 700 metres above sea level with a north-easterly exposure." Wine Advocate
"A medium-bodied, spicy and mineral red wine with lots of fresh and dried cherries, oyster shells, mushrooms and a little iodine. Also tea leaves. Firm tannins. Fresh, mineral finish." James Suckling

Limitation of 4 articles per customerBarbaresco DOCG 2020
The grapes for the Barbaresco come mainly from the top vineyards Pora, Ovello, Montestefano, Muncagota and Rio Sordo. Deep, lively ruby to garnet red. Extensive bouquet of red fruits and pastries with a mineral touch. On the palate, it convinces with a rich, solid structure as well as a continuous development, which ends in a long-smelling final. The leading winegrowers' cooperative in Italy shows every year already with its basic Barbaresco what it and its members are capable of. SUPERIORE.DE
"Youthful mid ruby. A proper, concentrated fruit nose, which this vintage is woefully short of. Subtle marasca cherry palate with lots of finely ground tannins; head and shoulders above the rest." Jancis Robinson
"This is aromatic and attractive with notes of dried cherries, hibiscus, cocoa and bark, following through a medium body with polished and refined tannins with velvety texture, and a linear finish. Fresh and floral at the end with a bright red fruit backbone." James Suckling
"The 2020 Barbaresco is a lovely, harmonious wine that will drink well with minimal cellaring. Forward fruit and soft curves are perhaps a bit uncharacteristic for young Barbaresco but that also make the wine very enjoyable. Juicy red cherry/plum fruit, rose petal, spice, cedar, mint and tobacco all meld together in the glass. Classicists will probably prefer other vintages, but it's hard not to like the 2020 for its charming, effusive personality. At the same time, aeration brings out greater aromatic presence and a good deal of structure, too." Vinous
"Still vinous, with youthful strawberry notes, rosebud, violet, liquorice and a whiff of cinnamon. Savoury and floral on the palate which is dominated by firm, crisp, long acidity and velvety ripe tannins of an amazing quality; perhaps just a bit stern on the aftertaste. Amazing Barbaresco. Here we have the cooperative of Barbaresco and one known as producing some of the best-priced quality wines in all of Langhe." Decanter
"The 2020 Barbaresco boasts an ample set of aromas with wild cherry, blue flower, sweet spice and crushed limestone. As always, the wine paints an exciting and authentic portrait of Nebbiolo, albeit with a little more richness and texture in this vintage. This is especially true in terms of the palate, where the wine offers mid-weight intensity with melting tannins." Wine Advocate

“Curubella” Pinot Grigio Friuli Colli Orientali DOC 2019
Livio Felluga's new crus come from massalselection. For this purpose, selected vines are reproduced in particularly advantageous locations in order to renew vineyards with especially high-quality vines and to further improve the quality of individual varietal wines.
Named after the small Curubella vineyard, this Pinot Grigio expresses the unique and very expressive terroir in a very special way. Golden yellow with copper-coloured reflections, which are the result of a longer maceration period. On the nose, autumnal notes of medlar, jasmine and white pepper, rounded off by elderberry, marjoram, melon and orange zest. On the firm palate, powerful and expressive of candied fruit, spice with floral elements. In the long finish then traces of acacia honey and pastry. Complex and deep with a very clear personality, freshness and beautiful minerality. SUPERIORE.DE
"Delicate orange pink, a Ramato that is anything but a name. Spicy, salty notes with a hint of bread crust over brooding apricot with a hint of flowers. Restrained at first, then layers of apricot and peach with spice notes and bitter orange on the finish. It would be a shame not to serve this wine with a sole. It has a lot of life ahead of it." Jancis Robinson
"In the local dialect, Curubella means "rounded highland" and describes the land where this massive selection of Pinot Grigio vines was planted in 1981. This traditional Ramato-style Pinot Grigio spends two days on the skins for a delicate copper hue and subtle texture, and is aged in Cocciopesto amphorae - a mixture of sand, gravel and clay used for thousands of years - for a completely neutral but oxidative vessel. The result is a fragrant and leafy aroma, with an intense, creamy and bright palate of green fruits, soft melon, subtle yellow fruits and a floral, lifted finish with more creaminess." Decanter
"Beautiful aromas of cantaloupe melon, rose petals and pear blossom. Medium bodied, growing on the palate with white pepper and peaches with some honeysuckle. Refined. A new wine from a single vineyard from here." James Suckling

“Disanfrancesco” Nebbiolo Langhe DOC 2021
The grapes for this Nebbiolo all come from recent Barolo sites and Roberto Voerzio (who would have thought otherwise) applies the same perfectionism to his work in the vineyard and cellar as he does to his great Barolos. And so here is a Nebbiolo in a class of its own that conveys enormous joy and excitement with every sip. Bright and lively bouquet of wild berries, black cherry, liquorice and grilled herbs. Then on the palate, medium pressure, very smooth texture and a mouthfeel like velvet and silk. Not quite as punchy as a house Barolo, but with plenty of style and a finesse and elegance that is to the point. SUPERIORE.DE

“Potentilla” Sauvignon Friuli Colli Orientali DOC 2019
Livio Felluga's new cru wines are the result of massalselection. For this purpose, selected vines are reproduced in particularly advantageous locations in order to renew vineyards with especially high-quality vines and to further improve the quality of individual varietal wines.
The grapes for this very characterful and complex Sauvignon Bianco come from vines planted as early as 1975. It captivates with its creamy texture and, due to the four weeks of malolactic fermentation followed by nine months of barrel ageing. Pure gold in the glass with rich yellow nuances. Opens with summery scents of rose and boxwood, then physalis, passion fruit, nettle, pickled peach and a delicate coriander note. Supple on the palate, of great elegance with complex sweetness, exoticism and citrus fruit. The wood is well integrated and underlines the aristocratic character of this exceptional wine. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2019 Sauvignon Potentilla opens in the glass like a fresh spring morning, with wet stone and cut grass nuances giving way to freshly squeezed lemonade. It's silky and supple on the palate, with depths of ripe citrus-tinged orchard fruits propelled by juicy acidity. Its minerality comes forward through the finish, tapering off salty and savory yet remarkably fresh, leaving sage and grapefruit notes to fade slowly. The Potentilla rests a month on the lees, adding to its textural depth and complexities." Vinous
"From a massal selection of vines first planted in 1975, this wine spent several hours in contact with the skins before alcoholic and malolactic fermentations, and then matured in 15hl casks for several months. The result is a white with intense aromas of tinned peach, yellow plum and cream. Savoury waxiness with texture and weight make this a superb food wine capable of matching up to a variety of dishes. Creamy and woody then slightly earthy flavours of apricot skin, banana peel and bruised apple lead to a long and fresh finish." Decanter
"The name of this wine derives from the flower of the same name, "Potentilla". The name combines the Latin "potenza" for power with the diminutive form of "illa" creating defining the small flower with great power. This is a perfect name for this delicious Sauvignon from the historic Livo Felluga estate. Aromas of white peach, citrus oil and yellow flowers leap out of the glass. The palate is round and texture, due to oak aging, finishing with hints of nectarine, crushed rock and a touch of herb. Beautifully balanced this wine will age quiet well. Drink Now." Wine Enthusiast
"Litchi fruit with kiwi and lemon notes. Very fresh and bright aromas. Full to medium body with lively acidity and a bright, tangy finish. Lime and some graphite come through." James Suckling

Barbaresco “Spezie” Riserva DOCG 2015
The Nebbiolo grapes for this archetypal Barbaresco come from marl soils at an altitude of about 250 metres. After two years of ageing in large wood and a further 6-7 (!) years of bottle maturity, here comes a wine on the market which, with its perfectly matured tannins and fine sweet melting, is already giving even the most impatient Nebbiolo fan a lot of pleasure.
Ruby red with garnet reflections, convincing, spicy bouquet of violets, moss, rose petals and small red fruits. Nice pressure on the palate, yet open-hearted, fresh and full-bodied, with well-dosed extract-sweet notes of maraschino cherry and a beautiful fruit that promises another great future in combination with the fine-meshed tannin. SUPERIORE.DE
"Rich bright cherry red with dark reflections. Inviting bouquet of juicy wild raspberries, blackberries, also something of cardamom and delicate bourbon vanilla. Pleasant on the nose, winds gracefully through the palate, powerful in body with a sparse structure, yet clear, goes into the lingering final with good pressure." Falstaff
"Lustrous maturing ruby with orange tinges. Sweetly scented ripe cherry nose with the merest suggestion of fruit cake and hugely appealing. A succulent mouthful of marasca-cherry fruit with coating tannins. Long, concentrated and highly enjoyable and still not at its peak." Jancis Robinson
"Rich and broad with a fleshy opulence to the wine. Blackberries touched by truffle oil, smoked meats, and dried herb perfume." Decanter
"A solid 2015 Barbaresco with spice, cedar and plum character. Full body, lots of fruit and chewy tannins. This needs time to soften and come together." James Suckling

“Siccagno” Nero d’Avola Sicilia DOC 2020 (BIO)
Muscular Nero d'Avola, deep dark red in colour, rich in extract and powerful with aromas of dried fruit, raspberries, beetroot and blackcurrants. A juicy Sicilian from natural cultivation that enchants us with its great personality and beguiling finesse. SUPERIORE.DE
"The scent of wild hedgerow berries leads to a softly structured, flavoursome palate that mirrors the nose and shows good intensity of red and black berries. Polished and well balanced, it is an elegant interpretation of Nero d'Avola." Decanter
"The organic Nero d'Avola Siccagno 2020 offers a lovely blend of cherry, dark fruit and a hint of clove. The wine shows notes of cola, black olives and baked plums in the background. There is plenty of fruit in this wine, leading to a bold, vibrant style. It is fluid in personality, but also lean in texture." Wine Advocate
"A very attractive Nero d'Avola with crushed black berries and bright citrus acidity with hints of fruit, black tea and dark mushrooms. Medium-bodied with fine tannins and tangy acidity on the finish. Drink or store." James Suckling
"The 2020 Nero d'Avola Siccagno captivates with an earth-inspired bouquet that blends crushed ashen stones with sage and smoke before giving way to crushed wild blueberries. It’s silky and refined, with a sleek wave of ripe red and blue fruits carried across a core of zesty acidity. A saline tinge adds a savory edge toward the close. The 2020 finishes lightly structured, long and with immaculate balance, leaving a coating of primary concentration, hints of citrus and inner florals. While already a total pleasure aromatically and on the palate, I expect the 2020 Siccagno will blossom beautifully over the next five to ten years in a cold cellar. This is stunning." Vinous

“Misco” Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Riserva DOC 2018
Tavignano's complex top product Misco Riserva represents the synthesis of the winery's Verdicchio expertise and is their most refined interpretation of the terroir. Starting with the grapes from the Cru Misco vineyard, those grapes are selected that can best develop first in steel and then in the bottle. This ageing highlights the richness of the grape variety, its spicy and mineral notes and provides the ideal conditions for a long ageing, maintaining its aromatic vivacity at all times. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright, radiant straw yellow. Nose of sea salt, raspberries, pineapple, juicy pear and candied lemon zest and a hint of spice. Opens up on the palate with great play, savoury and clear, seems very noble, lingers long and polished on the final." Falstaff
"Ripe and seductive with some phenols and a hint of honey on the nose and palate. Rich and round with good acidity and freshness. Impressive length and intensity." Decanter
"The 2018 Verdicchio dei Castello di Jesi Riserva Misco holds its power in reserve, displaying a delicate but layered and sweet-smelling bouquet that blends white smoke with pretty flowers, chamomile, cardamom and melon. Its weighty, almost oily texture is balanced by a core of bright acidity, where lemon zest combines with green apple and a hint of ginger to create a satisfying and spicy experience. For all the depth and character the Riserva shows today, the best is yet to come. The finish is long and tense, but still leaves you wanting more, along with that textbook almond bitterness that goes on and on. Brava." Vinous

“Mason” Pinot Nero Alto Adige DOC 2021 (BIO)
"Four hectares are planted with Pinot Nero in this unique location: a south-facing high plateau, constantly exposed to the wind, ideal for the narrow-berried Pinot grapes." Michael Graf Goëss-Enzenberg, Weingut Manincor
Rich ruby red, ripe fruit flavours with fresh mineral spice reveal the complexity of a great Pinot Noir. Juicy, yet velvety, fine-grained tannins and perfect structure on the palate, balanced and harmonious on the finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"A vibrant red, with a bright spiciness in the concentrated flavours of raspberry puree, blood orange peel, chopped thyme and rosemary. Along with hints of loamy earth and spice, this light to medium-bodied version offers light, chalky tannins that provide crisp definition on the finish." Wine Spectator
"The 2021 Mason Pinot Noir is dusty and floral, with rose tones and dried strawberries forming its delicate bouquet. This is round with juicy acidity and fresh red and blue fruits. Energetic and fresh from start to finish, the 2021 tapers off gently tannic with a raspberry and licorice tinge." Vinous
"Mason comes from the four-hectare, south-facing Mazzon vineyard at an altitude of 400-450 metres. This Pinot has quite a woody profile, imbued with vibrant, juicy cherry and floral aromas and a concentrated core of pure raspberry and pomegranate flavours. On the palate, it is carried by supple, almost invisible tannins, with woody notes and sweet spice on the fresh, juicy finish." Decanter
"Aromas of roses, cranberries and violets follow through to a medium body, with polished tannins and a brightness and freshness. Fine tannins and polish." James Suckling

Barbaresco DOCG 2020
Prunotto's Barbaresco shows a strong dose of Nebbiolo personality and opens with balanced notes of dried berries, liquorice, tar and blue flowers. The ensemble is delicate and fresh. What makes this wine so attractive is the fact that it offers such a clear and unadulterated view of the grape, which comes across particularly well in this very attractive drop. The finish is full of elegance and silk. SUPERIORE.DE
"Light red colour; reductive red fruit; round attack, barrel-like, coffee, fine tannin, caramel, long, drinky, pleasing." (JLF) Merum
"Aromas of wild raspberries with floral undertones lift from the glass of this classic Barbaresco followed by present but subtle earthy tones. The juicy palate is loaded with tart red fruits balanced by medicinal herbs and sweet spices. Supple tannins are lifted on the finish by the vibrant acidity." Wine Enthusiast
"A dense red, with macerated cherry and berry flavours overshadowed by liquorice, hay, menthol and a hint of leather. Although light, it is intense and persistent, with ripe fruit on the finish. Excellent balance and length." Wine Spectator
"Full of restraint, liquorice, dill, blood orange, intensely floral, with vibrant fruit such as strawberry and orange. It has a lot of volume. Lively freshness to the finish and firm, muscular tannins that are youthful, dusty and yet ripe. A graceful classic for the long haul. Bric Turot is a single vineyard with south-east and south-west exposure in the Pertinace area." Decanterread more- Grape Variety: 100% Nebbiolo

Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2016
Beautiful and very well-balanced red wine from the three main historical areas of Montalcino, which have different geoclimatic characteristics due to their different slopes and altitudes - and thus ensure a unique balance between freshness and structure, body and elegance.
Ruby red in colour with garnet reflections, opens immediately with a rich, complex nose. Initially dark cherry, chinotto orange and violet. It then opens up to broader, more complex notes of blueberry, vanilla, tobacco, cinnamon and chocolate with a subtle menthol finish. This juicy 2016 Brunello di Montalcino offers plenty of energy and brightness, conveyed by the cherry fruit and wild berry flavours at its core. The primary fruit is surrounded by spice, grilled herbs and floral earth. The natural complexity, purity and depth of the Sangiovese grape comes into its own in this dream vintage and especially in this Brunello. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright, noble ruby red colour with a radiant core. Open-hearted and inviting nose, slightly fleshy, with nuances of ripe sour cherries, pepper and raspberries, with an aftertaste of rose hips. Very polished and balanced on the palate, with tightly woven tannins, opens up beautifully on the palate, slightly salty finish." Falstaff
"Deep ruby red colour. Senescent fruit sweetness, beautiful ripe cherry and undergrowth. There is also an obvious oak sweetness on the palate, but there is still a delicacy here, perhaps because the tannins are so fine and relatively light. Elegant, dry, delicate, long, even juicy." Jancis Robinson
"Bringing together grapes from diverse vineyards throughout Montalcino, this midweight, almost-approachable Brunello is focused and vibrant. It takes a bit of coaxing on the nose then divulges sage, orange rind and fennel. Brisk acidity and chalky tannins meet crisp red currant and cranberry, cleansing the palate nicely." Decanter
"The Brunello di Montalcino 2016 has something spicy and slightly rustic about it, which I find very attractive. Baked black cherries, balsamic spice and a hint of animal musk create a beguiling spectacle. The textures are silky smooth, with cooling acids and salty minerals lifting the expression as they give way to tart red fruits. The tannins increase and slowly dry out the senses, but even today the 2016 is a pleasure to drink, coming across as both youthfully structured and savoury and fresh. It is a blend from the vineyards of Val di Suga in Montalcino." Vinous
"Aromas of iron, blood and cherry introduce this soft and lively red wine, while an abundance of dark fruit - black cherry and blackberry - lingers on the palate. The finish is characterised by dark, chocolaty tannins." Wine Spectator
"Dusty notes of crushed gravel and dried tea leaves are the prelude to aromas of fresh mushrooms and hints of fennel. Spicy mushrooms and olives, followed by firm, fine-grained tannins. Structured and full-bodied." James Suckling

Barbaresco Serraboella DOCG 2020
Medium ruby red with orange-coloured reflections. Deep, concentrated bouquet with some lift and brooding intensity. Concentrated and long, but convincingly balanced by an integrated acidity and a rich layer of sandy tannins. Good potential, even if it can be enjoyed now. SUPERIORE.DE
"Very pale ruby in the glass, with mushroom earthiness, straw, strawberry, cinnamon and a meaty touch. This fierce character is supported by a very savoury attack, with delicate acid, polished and vibrant tannins: a large palate and a lot of details. There is great balance despite a bit of austerity on the finish. Super-classic for ageing." Decanter
"Fresh and crunchy with red fruit, dried herbs, potpourri and moist earth. Medium- to full-bodied with firm tannins, that are ripe and velvety. Dry and a little chewy at the end with attractive fruit coming through." James Suckling
"Packaged with a black label and eye-catching lettering in red, the Fontanabianca 2020 Barbaresco Serraboella reveals a very fine, almost dusty personality with wild berry, crushed rose and wet river stone. The wine is beautifully balanced, with dry tannins presented next to delicately sweet berry fruit. The Serraboella shows the careful winemaking practiced at this estate. Only 4,000 bottles were made." Wine Advocate
"Reserved yet somewhat haunting on the nose, this wine presents pristine dark-berried fruit aromas, dried rose and savory spices. Warmed and macerated black cherry shines on the palate, accompanied by mouthwatering acidity and a solid earthy bass note with firm, yet fine tannins. This wine is meant to be savored." Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG 2019 (BIO)
Querciabella's Riserva, with an annual production of 10,000 bottles, is a selection of the best lots. It blends fruit from Greve, where the vineyards lie between 350 and 550 metres above sea level, with grapes from the stony high altitudes of Radda and the chalky soils of Gaiole. The 2019 vintage is restrained but very precise. Tantalising aromas of spring flowers, cranberries and potting soil are accompanied by vanilla and smoke. On the palate, it is polished and pure, with a delicious, tangy acidity and sinewy tannins. As every year, one of the most refined wines of the appellation. SUPERIORE.DE
"Here, too, with the typical house style that emphasises the charm, in addition to the aromas of cherry, rowan berries and rosehip, animating, velvety and round on the palate." Weinwisser
"Bright ruby red colour. Nose of pomegranate, fresh strawberries, some blood orange, thyme, stony hints. Great freshness on the palate, lovely acidity, clear, red berry fruit, savoury, vibrates over the tongue, drinky." Falstaff
"Deep, shiny ruby red colour. Captivating, deep sour cherry and raspberry nose that is still quite youthful. Beautiful intensity of fruit and with a hint of oak. Pleasant, tangy, deep raspberry fruit with marvellous, chewy tannins that cling to the fruit. Designed for the long term. Amazing balance between gripping, ripe tannins and deep, tangy fruit." Jancis Robinson
"The Chianti Classico Riserva 2019 is a great wine that comes from vineyards in Greve, Radda and Gaiole. Dark and powerful in the glass, the 2019 offers dark fruit, spice, leather, savoury herbs, tobacco and earthy notes. I would give it a few years to mature." Vinous
"The Organic Querciabella 2019 Chianti Classico Riserva Querciabella displays rich, concentrated fruit with blackberries and cherries overlaid with light spice and minerality. This wine represents a selection of fruit from Greve, Radda and Gaiole in Chianti, and each parcel is vinified separately before the final blend is made." Wine Advocate
"At first, coffee and mocha permeate the dark red cherry, while hints of rosemary and sage emerge with a little coaxing. The palate is confident yet agile, with beautiful, pure black raspberry fruit ringing out. Pleasant tannins expand leisurely, and the fine-grained framework will provide balanced support over the next 10 years." Decanter
"Smooth and intense, this red wine is saturated with aromas and flavours of black cherries, blackberries, flowers, wild herbs and minerals. On the long finish, the solid structure is well covered by flesh. It offers fine harmony and expression." Wine Spectator
"A fragrant and lively red wine with aromas of sour cherries, lemons, cloves, crushed pepper and dried flowers on the nose. Medium-bodied with silky tannins and bright acidity. Juicy and delicious with lots of energy." James Suckling

“Uvaggio” Rosso Costa della Sesia DOC 2018
Bright ruby. On the nose morello cherries, small red and black forest berries, mild herbal spiciness, some plum. In the mouth a silky potpourri of red fruits, young leather and complex spicy-earthy notes. Here, too, the minerality of the terroir can be clearly sensed, well-dosed tannins and a fresh acidity flank the long-lasting red wine into a furious final. SUPERIORE.DE
"Uvaggio is a traditional regional blend of Nebbiolo with lesser proportions of Vespolina and Croatina. This 2018 displays immediate aromatic charm, with raspberry and cherry fruit joined by a touch of mint. It's medium-bodied and shows assertive but not aggressive acidity. Lively and piquant, it has a long, spicy finish." Decanter

“Bellovedere” Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Terre dei Vestini Riserva DOC 2016
Dense, deep red, in the nose forest fruits, ripe red berries and sweet-spicy notes. On the palate elegant, soft, almost creamy, rich, with fine tannin, pronounced body and an optimal balance between alcoholic potency, freshness and fruit and with a furious finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2016 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Riserva Bellovedere is dark yet elegant, with an inviting bouquet of blackberries, crushed violets, exotic spice and hints of camphor. This is silky in texture with a savory, almost-salty display of wild berries and minerals, all balanced by brisk acids. You can hardly feel its fine-grained tannins settling in until the very end, as the palate aches under the Bellovedere’s youthful structure, with echoes of licorice and black fruits lingering long. That said, the balance here is on point, and all the 2016 needs is a few more years of cellaring to really shine." Vinous
"Aromas of dark fruit, mushrooms, flowers and spices. It’s full-bodied with chewy tannins. Chalky texture in the mouth. Juicy and spicy. Flavorful finish with some length." James Suckling
"This rich red offers a cohesive mix of cigar box spice, menthol, hoisin sauce and brandy-soaked blackberries. It's densely packed in fruit and spice flavors on the full-bodied palate, yet balanced well by a polished sheen of tannins and plenty of fresh acidity. Showing ample power and concentration, this would hold well in the cellar." Wine Enthusiast

“Deimassi” Rosso di Montalcino DOC 2020
The name Deimassi comes from the large stone blocks that make up the terrace wall that supports the vineyard. These were dug out of the ground during the preparatory work for the planting in 2008. The large stones and the friable clay still mark this small parcel of land, originally intended for the production of Brunello di Montalcino, the results of which are now being marketed without the longer ageing period prescribed for Brunello.
Spicy, enveloping and mineral aromas characterise this powerful and rich Sangiovese. In the drink, a great tannic balance with a beautiful fruit core, precise and firm as it goes on. A very harmonious and characterful "little Brunello"." SUPERIORE.DE
"Lustrous mid ruby. Brooding and complex but less open than Gauggiole, but with aeration there is this floral lift. Gorgeous richness of fruit and at the same time light on its feet. Gorgeous tannins to bite into." Jancis Robinson
"The 2020 Rosso di Montalcino dei Massi is woodsy with nuances of flowery underbrush and giving way to crushed wild berries and grilled herbs. It’s deeply textural, silky in feel, with polished red fruits and inner spice. A coating of fine tannins frames the wine well, as the 2020 leaves notes of currant with mineral underpinnings that linger long. The dei Massi vineyard was planted in 2008 for Brunello production, yet the expression of the vines in this location has provided fruit that is better suited to creating a characterful Rosso." Vinous
"From a stony vineyard with friable clay, this Rosso has the attitude of a Brunello thanks to its bolder character and barrel ageing. 'I wanted to bottle it faster than Brunello regulations allow. What’s the way to do that? Rosso di Montalcino,' explained winemaker, Cecilia Leoneschi. Compared to the estate's other two Rosso bottlings, Deimassi has a more open nose of red and black hedgerow berries. Bigger, bolder and with pronounced acidity, it features delicious fleshy black and red fruit flavours paired with a moreish tightness, balsamic flecks and grippy structure. Well balanced." Decanter
"Here's a second discovery from Castiglion del Bosco. The 2020 Rosso di Montalcino Deimassi is slightly darker in appearance next to its sister, Gauggiole. That added saturation translates to both the bouquet and the palate. The wine delivers bold cherry, redcurrant and citrusy blood orange. A dusting of white pepper also comes through here. It shows medium fruit weight with more tannic structure at the back. Named after rocky "masses" found inside the vineyard, Deimassi is a 1.5-hectare site with rocky clay soils." Wine Advocate
