Vigna Crivelli is one of the most renowned white wine vineyards in the South Tyrolean lowlands. Named after Count Crivelli, a leading member of an old noble family from Margreid, the Chardonnay thrives here on alluvial soils of fine sand with silt and clay deposits under ideal conditions. The special microclimate of this single vineyard is characterised by strong downslope winds from the Fennberg and the daily south wind "Ora", which ensures perfect aeration of the grapes. The marked day-night temperature fluctuations allow for a long ripening period with optimal flavour development. The vines are grown on low-growing rootstock and are trained using the Guyot system.

After manual harvesting, a short cold maceration takes place to emphasise the fruitiness before the gently pressed grapes are clarified by natural sedimentation. Alcoholic fermentation takes place exclusively in small French oak barrels, where the wine matures on the lees for twelve months, gaining complexity and refinement. It then matures for a further month in stainless steel tanks and in the bottle.

The Vigna Crivelli has a bright straw gold colour in the glass. The nose is greeted by a rich bouquet of ripe apricot, tropical fruit and elegant wood flavours with subtle nuances of light honey and caramel. A fascinating balance between powerful fullness and juicy acidity unfolds on the palate – melting, dense and impressively long on the finish.
