    Monica Raspi remembers: "I took my first steps as a winemaker in the Omino vineyard. The grapes grown here produce the wine that is the absolute benchmark for my very personal interpretation of the Sangiovese grape."

    Intense aromas of roses, cherries, strawberries, wild herbs and tar are the hallmarks of this seductive Gran Selezione from the Omino vineyard. Pipe tobacco, incense, leather, menthol, tobacco, dried herbs and tapenade emphasise the darker side of Sangiovese.     "Black cherry, black currant and blackberry fruit highlights this exuberant red. Endowed with dense, muscular tannins that leave a strong grip on the finish. Still feels a little crisp in the end, yet there’s ample fruit and fine, iron-tinged length. " Wine Spectator

    "It comes from the same single vineyard, but now bears the name L'Omino, which means "little man" and refers to the stone statue that towers over the vineyard and resembles a human figure. The nose, which opens shyly, reveals subtle but exotic aromas of rooibos tea, mace and blackcurrant. The palate is still taut and tense, framed by spicy red berries and light woody notes. The resolute tannins are on the right side of extraction, the acidity is juicy, and the lime leaf finish is long and cleansing." Decanter
