“Santa Cecilia” Nero d’Avola Sicilia Noto DOC 2020
Deep, bright ruby red in colour. This 100% Nero d'Avola is a captivating wine with its full-bodied, fruity and spicy aroma of blackcurrants, cherries, undergrowth, liquorice and dark chocolate. The soft but firm, multi-layered and warm flavour of ripe berries, the fine spice and the fine tannins are very appealing. SUPERIORE.DE
"It is a well-made Nero d'Avola with a purity and freshness in its ripe character of red and black berries and cherries. Intense and savoury, with tangy acidity, it shows juicy cherries and black fruits along with notes of chocolate and balsamic and mouth-coating tannins. Full and rich in fruit, but quite vertical in style, it is a lively and storable example of what can be achieved with this typical Sicilian grape." Decanter
"The 2020 Santa Cecilia, a single varietal Nero d'Avola, rises from the glass with a dark and brooding blend of crushed plums, cloves, stone dust and a hint of camphor. It's round and supple with juicy acidity that retains a lovely energy, and bright red and blue fruits spill across the palate. The 2020 finishes with a bitter touch of savoury spice and a hint of sour citrus, while a layer of fine tannins lingers. The 2020 is a very beautiful and balanced wine for medium-term cellaring." Vinous
"Bright and fragrant, with a lush creaminess that carries flavours of strawberry jam, dried cherries, tar, tea roses and singed orange peel. Well-spiced and minerally, with slightly chalky tannins that provide fine definition." Wine Spectator
"The Santa Cecilia 2020 is one of Sicily's iconic wines, a Nero d'Avola clothed in elegance and precision. The wine is softly structured and multi-layered with dark fruits, black cherries, spices and sweet tobacco. The Santa Cecilia takes a classic approach with a balance between generous fruit and carefully managed oak." Wine Advocate
"Aromas of blackberries, flowers and dark earth with a hint of fresh black mushrooms. Medium to full body with round and creamy tannins and a delicious undertone. Just a hint of vanilla bean underneath the fruit." James Suckling
"The nose starts bubbly and sweet, with aromas of black plums, cherry and vanilla, then turns savory but still crackly, with notes of pencil shavings, pepper, graphite and leather. The palate doubles back toward juicy fruit with figs and more plums, then shifts again toward that sanguine earthiness, but textured tannins and almost silky acid unify the whole." Wine Enthusiast

“DUBL EDITION 1 BIANCO” Metodo Classico VSQ brut
Feudi di San Gregorio's DUBL project was born in 2004 from an awareness of the great richness of the autochthonous vines of the Irpinia region and the desire to open up new horizons for them: as a Metodo Classico Spumante or by means of the famous Méthode Champenoise. An advisor was quickly found for this - none other than Anselme Selosse, who is known for his champagnes and his feeling for the particularities of the vines and vineyards.
A quarter of the base wines of this top product is aged for 6 months in oak barrels, then the cuvée matures for 2 years in the bottle on the fine lees before it is disgorged. Strong light yellow and a super-fine perlage. On the nose, light fruit, yeasty notes and nuances of fresh bread. On the palate then powerful, fresh, with beautiful spice and a potpourri of stone fruit, fine honey notes and toasted almonds. SUPERIORE.DE
"Complex nose with aromas to sweet lemons, apples, chamomile, grapefruit and toasted notes. Dry on the palate, vibrant and crisp." Decanter
"This is a cuvée of Greco and Falanghina aged on the lees for 36 months. The sparkling Feudi di San Gregorio NV Dubl Edition I Brut will be released in March 2023. This wonderfully sparkling and fresh wine displays a fine and sharp perlage with pomelo fruit, bitter almond and white peach." Wine Advocate

Nerello Cappuccio Terre Siciliane IGT 2020
Nerello Cappuccio with dried flowers, cherries and spices on the nose offers elegant pleasure. Medium-bodied, delicate and ethereal on the finish. A fascinating interpretation of the indigenous Etna grape variety. SUPERIORE.DE
"It is intense and very flavoursome, with red and black cherry fruit and peppery red berries. Delicate and light on its feet, but intense in flavour, it will be a good partner for a variety of dishes." Decanter
"The Nerello Cappuccio 2020 from Benanti is one of the few bottlings of this indigenous grape variety that I know and is always a pleasure to drink. It is dark and floral with a hint of sweet spices that emphasise the black cherry and wild berry fruit. The palate is round and juicy, impressing with a depth of ripe red fruit and sweet herbal notes, while a subtle coating of grippy tannins builds towards the finish. The 2020 finishes with medium length but leaves a big impression, slightly chewy and with a tart raspberry tone. Very nice." Vinous
"A savory nose features aromas of strawberry, red currants, old leather and white pepper, while the palate is fresher and more fruit-forward with notes of strawberry jam and raspberries, although an earthy undertone and more pepper bring balance and cohesion. Acid crackles above tannins that nip at your heels." Wine Enthusiast

Etna Rosso DOC 2021
This archetypal Etna Rosso presents itself with great grace and beautiful varietal typicity. Aromas of strawberry and cherry on the nose, medium-bodied fruit on the palate, slightly salty notes and spicy nuances in the beautiful final. SUPERIORE.DE
"Medium-light red colour; delicate, fine fruit notes, depth, inviting; fine attack, then powerful, juicy, balanced, beautiful tannin, long." Merum
"The Graci 2021 Etna Rosso shows a structured but lean personality with bright berry fruits, redcurrants and wild berries. The wine is balanced and fresh. It shows the specific volcanic character that only wines from the charred slopes of Mount Etna can deliver. It is made from Nerello Mascalese, which is harvested at 600 to 700 metres above sea level on ashy volcanic soils." Wine Advocate
"Pure and fresh aromas of red and black berries with a hint of petrichor lead to a bright and energetic palate with a nice concentration of tangy fruit. It's bold and vibrant and finishes with incisive, juicy acidity, balsamic and hints of spice and chocolate. Delicious and very good value." Decanter
"A fresh, fine red wine that feels like raw silk on the palate, with taut tannins that are well combined with flavours of black raspberries and black cherries. Underpinned by mineral smoke and stone as well as fragrant accents of star anise, fresh marjoram and sandalwood." Wine Spectator
"Crisp cranberries, violets, allspice and a hint of nutmeg. Light to medium body with juicy and silky tannins, supported by a bright acid backbone. Balanced finish." James Suckling
"Opening slowly in the glass, the 2021 Etna Rosso reveals a nuanced blend of crushed stones and dried roses. It's comfortingly round with medium body and a salty mineral note up front that gives way to a depth of tart cherry berry flavours. The 2021 tapers off structured, long but beautifully balanced, with red flowers and exotic spice notes. This is a top-class Rosso, but it still needs some ageing time to fully develop." Vinous

Rosso di Montalcino DOC 2020
The grapes for Poggio Anticos Rosso have always come from 100% Brunello sites and the wine is a real insider tip for Montalcino lovers. After some aeration, it beguiles the nose with an overwhelming bouquet of spices, ripe red cherries and fine leather notes. The palate is full, firm and fleshy, the structure very polished and balanced. A Rosso that, with some patience and further bottle ageing, could well be a Brunello: precise, delicious and with a beautiful, long final full of depth and a delightful final. SUPERIORE.DE
"Blue-fruit with some slate and bark aromas follow through to a medium body with chewy tannins and a fresh finish." James Suckling
"Milk chocolate, roses and blackcurrants on the nose, beguiling and appealing. Lively and juicy, bright and high toned, it's light almost, in a sense the flavours are so bright and alive but with texture and grip. Fresh strawberries, red cherries and blackcurrants but lifted with a fresh and cool edge that gives the palate so much joy. A great wine and an affordable price. Succulent and ripe but effortlessly framed. Really a wine you could drink today and enjoy it's youthful exuberance - in fact, it screams drink me now. An excellent food wine." Decanter

“Stegher” Chardonnay Riserva Alto Adige DOC 2020
The steep porphyry slopes at an altitude of up to 650 metres on the Ritten above Bolzano offer ideal conditions for vinifying this powerful yet elegant Chardonnay with outstanding balance, well-integrated acidity and excellent ageing potential. Straw yellow in colour with greenish inclusions. Pure exotic flavours of pineapple, mango and white peach on the nose, underpinned by a delicate vanilla note. Powerful on the palate, the well-integrated acidity keeps it fresh and mineral despite its power and complexity, right through to an almost infinitely long finish. A great Chardonnay from South Tyrol! SUPERIORE.DE
"Delicate green apple and alpine flowers with a pronounced lemon peel character; juicy and succulent with a crisp finish." Decanter
"Yellow with delicate greenish hues. Pleasant floral notes and hints of white fruit flesh on the nose. In the mouth, beautiful, refreshing acidity and excellent suppleness with a citrus finish." Falstaff
"Brilliant straw yellow. Lemon, green apple and bread crust on the nose. With aeration, the oak comes out more clearly. Lemon, melon and green-apple palate tied in by subtle, creamy oak but without making the whole heavy. Long, refreshing and refined." Jancis Robinson
"The Cantina Produttori Bolzano 2020 Alto Adige Chardonnay Riserva Stegher shows a soft, medium-bodied texture with flavours of orchard fruit, honey, pie crust and pasty cream. This vintage also shows good freshness, with fruit harvested from very steep vineyards in the hills near Bolzano at 650 metres above sea level." Wine Advocate
"An attractive Chardonnay that exudes apple crumble, pastry, mango and custard on the nose. It's full-bodied and buttery, with plenty of pastry and pie crust character on the long, flavourful finish. Drink or keep." James Suckling

“Keir” Ansonica Toscana IGT 2019
Keir Ansonica is the white answer to Keir Syrah, which is also aged in amphorae. A wine produced in a small edition of 2,000 bottles, neither clarified nor filtered, it is an expression of innovation and tradition at the same time.
Light golden yellow. Fine, reductive bouquet of lemon peel, tropical fruits and yellow apple with hints of smoke, honey, spices, herbs and broom. Dry, medium-bodied palate with nice acidity, freshness and complexity. The flavours reflect the bouquet beautifully and lead into a medium length finish. Very nice first vintage of this truly special white wine. SUPERIORE.DE
"This is the first vintage of a Keir white wine, made from Ansonica macerated on the skins in amphorae for two months. Unclarified and unfiltered, it has a deep, golden, Sauternes-like colour, with waxy orange peel aromas and just a hint of mineral and irony. Salty, savoury flavours on the palate are accompanied by a noticeable tannic edge. A twist of orange peel make this a characterful wine, perfect for drinking with spicy Szechuan-style dishes." “La Massa” Rosso Toscana IGT 2020
Sparkling, rich ruby colour. Intense aroma of raspberries and cassis, herbal and spicy notes. Smooth, dense, fresh and juicy berry fruit on the palate. Long, voluminous and elegant - and this little masterpiece is a clear buy, and not just because of the price! SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright ruby red with a delicately brightening rim. Fine resinous tones on the nose, followed by juicy cherries, ripe raspberries, a hint of elderberries, delicate black bread crust, dried herbs and fine cold stone. Very juicy on the palate, full-bodied, with tight, youthful tannins and a juicy, salty final." Falstaff
"Blue and black fruits are enveloped by fine, chocolaty tannins with a hint of bitterness - possibly from bottle shock. Juicy and dense, with violet nuances and good acidity that continue into a long finish with blackberry and salinity. Good concentration and elegance at the same time." Decanter
"Ripe berries, citrus, preserved plums and some savoury baking spices lengthen to a medium-bodied palate with fine, juicy tannins and a tight, concentrated finish." James Suckling
"This red wine begins with bright black cherry and raspberry fruits, which take on notes of tobacco, eucalyptus, iron and leaves. Dense tannins emerge on the long-lasting finish." Wine Spectator
"The La Massa 2020 is a real powerhouse. An onslaught of black cherries, plums, liquorice, incense, chocolate and dried herbs stain the palate. This extravagant, dense wine is packed to the marrow. Give it a few years to mature." Vinous
"The Tenuta La Massa 2020 La Massa offers great value across the board. This is a generous and multi-layered blend. Winemaker Giampaolo Motta breaks the rules by producing Bordeaux-inspired wines in one of the most Sangiovese-orientated areas of Tuscany. But he still adds a little charm and magic to this wine." Wine Advocate
"The nose is a tart mix of dried cherries, cranberries, brick, earth and hibiscus, with a mix of fresh wild herbs providing some warmth. The sanguine fruitiness and earthy notes continue on the palate, but polished tannins and supple acidity provide a round texture." Wine Enthusiast

“Novecento 30 anni” Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG 2019 (BIO)
The anniversary edition of the Novecento opens on the nose with layers of dark fruits, spices, tar and smoke. Then on the palate, there is terrific depth and hints of earth or crushed black rock. Novecento offers a great texture that is velvety and rich without ever seeming heavy or sluggish. Long and crisp on the spicy finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Ripe nose with aromas of maraschino, herbs and leather; the tannins robust, showing character and length, solid finish. Pair with a T-bone steak." Vinum
"The organic Dievole 2019 Chianti Classico Riserva Novecento is slow to open and is neutral on first nose. It does eventually show some dark fruit and wild cherry that is nicely intermingled with spice, leather and tar. There is a warm or savory quality to this wine with autumn leaf and forest floor. The blend is 95% Sangiovese, 3% Canaiolo and 2% Colorino. This release celebrates the 30th vintage of this wine." Wine Advocate
"The 2019 vintage was one of the most balanced in recent years in Chianti Classico. Here, as Antonini confessed, there is no intention to make an approachable wine. The colour shines in its ruby red tinge; the nose is intensely fresh, flowery and slightly reductive at first, before an orange vert emerges from the depths to overlay black cherry and creamy strawberry. The attack is firm, crunchy and extracted. Fierce acidity supports a youthful cherry fruit expression with enough concentration and a thick finish. Quite austere for 2019, but amazing considering its ability to age." Decanter
"A tight, tannic version, this red has a strong grip on its currant, cherry and strawberry fruit. Revealing mineral and tar details, this remains succulent and breezy through the lingering aftertaste; just needs to absorb the tannins." Wine Spectator
"This is extremely aromatic, with strawberry and cherry character and hints of orange peel and flowers. Medium-bodied with very fine tannins that are integrated and polished. Bright acidity at the finish, Made from a mix of parcels from the highest vineyards of Dievole. Beautiful to drink now, but will age will, too." James Suckling

“Maharis” Syrah Sicilia DOC 2021
Deep dark, sparkling ruby red. On the nose, an opulent dark red fruit basket, intense and full. Already in the first sip, a depth that is unparalleled in this price range. The heights to which this wine is capable of carrying the connoisseur are nothing short of spectacular. At the same time, it always convinces with an indescribable balance. Maharis is never fat or jammy, but its potpourri of dark fruits, spices, matured leather and a subtle smoky note is always balanced with a surprising freshness and liveliness. The final is long, velvety and richly textured. Great! SUPERIORE.DE
"Dark shining ruby red. In the nose with noble use of wood, fine spice, black pepper and grated black currant, sour cherries, dried flowers in the aftertaste. On the palate grippy and present, with cool fruit core and tight tannin, final on fine salty notes." Falstaff
"This poised Syrah, from alberello vines grown in limestone soils in Noto, has an incredible fragrance of Parma violets, cedar, dark chocolate, balsam, dried cherries and wild strawberries. In the mouth it's concentrated and vertical, showing tons of freshness, floral fragrance and airy delicacy allied to some dark, sapid fruit. Succulent and stony with violet and lavender overtones, then liquorice, black pepper and coffee hints on the long finish, this is such a pretty wine." Decanter

“Animalucente” Bianco Etna DOC 2022 (BIO)
Animalucente consists mainly of Carricante from 70-100 year old vines, some of which are still ungrafted. Shiny, ethereal and extravagant in the glass, the bright colour is reminiscent of a lava flow in a wild and romantic setting. Extremely flavoursome on the palate, vertical, with a tangy acidity and creaminess that makes you want to drink the next glass. Animalucente is a strong, forward and very authentic Etna wine and the perfect fusion of heaven and earth. SUPERIORE.DE

"Delicately floral and honeyed lemon, herbal and fragrant on the nose. Nice body and fruitiness, round and forward, offering a full palate with nuances of iron, black pepper, cloves, toast and freshly picked apples. A beautiful wine." Decanter

Castello di Ama, one of the highest wineries in the Classico area, produces one of the most delicious wines of its appellation every year with the Ama. The grapes come from the single vineyards Bellavista, Casuccia, San Lorenzo, Bertinga and Montebuoni. A fresh wine with youthful charm and aromas of cherry, plum and spicy notes. Complex, full-bodied and with fine-grained tannin on the palate. SUPERIORE.DE
"Castello di Ama's bottled Annata is characterised by aromas of violet, lilac and blood orange. Barbera d’Alba Superiore DOC 2021 (BIO)
This wine bears the small print name Viola delle Viole, although its fruit comes from the Bricco delle Viole and Bricco Bertone vineyards, two sites with different soil types, one of which provides structure and the other aromatic purity. Vajra's Barbera d'Alba Superiore opens with a dark, almost impenetrable appearance. Powerful aromas of blackberry jam and preserved cherries unfold on the nose. You can feel its warmth and richness and there is no way around it. It is a super-sized Barbera that goes one better in terms of extraction and intensity. The finish is almost sweet, followed by good acidity. It shows great aromatic perfection, length and a very accentuated style. SUPERIORE.DE
"Sparkling ruby red colour with a violet hue. Ripe fruit notes on the nose, reminiscent of plum and sour cherry, with some dark chocolate behind it. Round and full-bodied on the palate, juicy, subtle extract sweetness, striking acidity, fine tannins, elegant final." Falstaff
"From Bricco Bertoni, across the road from Bricco Falletto, a naturally low-yielding site on a steep, terraced marl slope. Vibrant purple in colour with aromas of spiced plum, sour cherries and herbal touches, it features a super-intense, saline attack with concentration of bright red and black fruits. Vertical, with prickly spice and very fresh acidity, there is sapidity, depth and vibrancy evident here. Wow." Decanter
"Just bottled, the 2021 Barbera d'Alba Superiore is fabulous. Rich and inky, with tremendous depth, the 2021 is so vibrant in the glass. Red/purplish fruit, lavender, sweet spice and mocha are all dialed up, with a kiss of French oak that adds raciness." Vinous

“Ben Ryé" Passito di Pantelleria DOP 2021 dolce
Ben Ryé - the great naturally sweet and world-famous white wine from Donnafugata. The grapes are harvested in mid-August and left to dry naturally for 20 to 30 days. In September, the later ripening grapes are harvested and processed fresh. The hand-picked raisined berries are added to the must in several stages during fermentation. Light orange yellow in colour. Overwhelming aromas of apricot, peach and orange peel. Creamy notes of passion fruit and peach on the palate with an impressive elegance and length. For us, one of the best sweet wines in Italy every year! SUPERIORE.DE
"Brilliant orange with golden reflections, elegant. Enormous aroma of peaches and peach tea, honey, honeycomb, with a fine hint of nutmeg, dried apricots, bergamots and oranges. Wonderfully balanced on the palate, creamy-oily texture, with clear, radiant peach fruit, well-balanced interplay between sugar and acidity, lingers endlessly in many layers, with a final of dried figs." Falstaff
"Complex flavours of sultanas, caramel, honey, iced tea, peaches and vanilla. Creamy on the palate, with a zesty acidity." Decanter
"The 2021 Ben Ryé is a real pleasure. It seduces with a bouquet that mixes sweet smoke with mandarins, mint leaves and cloves. Like pure nectar, it envelops everything it touches on the palate with ripe fruit trees and tropical melon. Sweet spices and sour citrus fruits contrast towards the end. The finish is savoury and long, leaving a dusty, floral note and a hint of candied ginger and lime. Ben Ryé is always an absolute delight and, in my opinion, one of the best dessert wines in Italy. This single varietal Zibibbo finishes with 197 grams of residual sugar per Liters." Vinous
"A rich, luxurious sweetie, with flavors of orange glacée, pink grapefruit sorbet, spun honey, apple peel and butterscotch melting on the palate like cotton candy. A bright tang of citrusy acidity and a touch of salinity give this good cut and form, while fragrant hints of lavender, cardamom, white chocolate and Earl Grey waft in on the long, lasting finish." Wine Spectator
"This wine has a light copper colour and a copper-coloured aroma. On the nose, yellow peaches and dried apricots play with various orange notes. On the palate, stone fruit and citrus continue to shine before a warm, honeyed, almost syrupy finish reminiscent of a beeswax candle." Wine Enthusiast

“Sagana” Nero d’Avola Sicilia DOC 2019
Sagana, an impressively varietal and at the same time very fresh Nero d'Avola of dark colour, intensely scented of sour cherries, undergrowth, iodine and graphite. Very powerful and full-bodied on the palate, velvety tannins and a long, slightly nutty finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Dark, almost impenetrable ruby red. In the nose rich chocolate notes, ripe cassis, Amarena cherries and slightly vegetal. Gripping and powerful on the palate, spreads out widely, opens up on pithy wide-meshed tannin, hearty on the final." Falstaff
"A deep coloured, purple Nero d'Avola with medium to full body and aromas of soaked blackberries, iron, eucalyptus and violets. Fresh and concentrated, with creamy tannins that show through on the slightly spicy finish." Wine Spectator
"Aromas of blackberries, stones and fresh mushrooms transition to a medium body with firm tannins and a fresh, juicy finish." James Suckling
"The 2019 Sàgana is intense, dark and earthy in nature, with hints of smoke and camphor that bring out blackcurrant, tobacco and ash. It has a deep texture, feels almost creamy and is very tasty, with plum sauce, sage and a core of salty minerality that gives it gravitas. A layer of fine tannins finishes the wine with an echo of black fruit and a bitter aftertaste. Sàgana is a serious Nero d'Avola that needs a year or two in the cellar to show its best side." Vinous
"The 2019 Sicilia Sàgana is made from Nero d'Avola from the 12 hectare Vigneto del Torrone Bianco Tenuta San Giacomo and is very rich and concentrated with dark, dark fruit and a full-bodied presentation. The wine is lush, structured and very modern with a good blend of blackberry fruit and oak spice." Wine Advocate
"This Nero d'Avola from a single vineyard of Cusumano's Tenuta San Giacomo estate, located on the limestone cliff of Butera in southern Sicily, is a great wine. It is fresh and has great mid-palate tension combined with structured tannins. Aromatic black cherry aromas and flavours accompany intense dark chocolate, spices and herbs." Decanter

Barbera d’Asti Riserva Nizza DOCG 2019
Barbera d'Asti Riserva from the noble DOCG Nizza opens with dark red fruit, followed by smoke, spices and flowers. Dense, intense fruit with a pleasantly salty, mineral note on the palate. Impressive Barbera presentation with a long finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Aromas of macerated black cherries and ripe raspberries combine with star anise, cedar and violets that pour out of the glass. The palate is loaded with notes of ripe plum, blackberries, fresh thyme and fine oak spices. Structured tannins give the wine heft, finishing with enough acidity to balance each component." Wine Enthusiast
"This wine has a red fruity character with notes of tea leaves, dried herbs and ground cloves. Medium-bodied with bright and lively fruit, crisp acidity and firm, polished tannins. Fresh and spicy." James Suckling
"A pure nose of cherry and other ripe red fruits. With sour cherry, plums and dried cranberries. Freshness and balance, precision and intensity, the oak is well integrated." Decanter
"The 2019 Nizza Riserva is packed with dark fruits, graphite, cured meat, cloves, leather and lavender. Deep and layered, with enormous stature, the Riserva is a wonderfully complete wine that just needs a few years in the bottle to round itself out. It is another impressive wine in this range from Olim Bauda." Vinous

“Passorosso” Etna DOC 2021
Passorosso is a single-varietal Nerello Mascalese that shows fine garnet-red reflections in its bright ruby red. Proud and fascinating, it presents an intense bouquet of red berries, coffee and olives. Its engaging taste convinces with clear, well-defined fruit and pronounced minerality. Graceful and special. SUPERIORE.DE
"Radiant, bright ruby red. Finely marked nose, with notes of currants, juniper and cloves, plus slightly medicinal notes. Shows very juicy on the palate, with ripe fruit, slightly smoky, tight, slightly drying tannins." Falstaff
"The Passorosso is a blend of fruit from the various vineyard sites. Crisp, herbal and slightly smoky red berry aromas are followed by a ripe, sweet, red-fruited palate full of balsamic intrigue and subtle stoniness. Bright strawberries, cherries and raspberries are supported by taut, fine-grained tannins and fresh acidity, ending with a juicy finish. Delicious!" Decanter
"The 2021 Passorosso is shy in the glass, opening slowly with hints of dusty rose and dried strawberry accompanied by a touch of sweet Indian curry. It is silky yet racy, with a salty minerality that quickly emerges, perfectly balanced by a core of juicy red fruits and autumnal spice. The Passorosso leaves a youthful concentration on the palate, while a touch of residual acidity maintains a great freshness and the liquorice notes fade out. What a beauty. This is a first class Etna Rosso. It is important to note that Passorosso is not a second wine or a wine made from younger vines, but a blend of old vines from all of Passopisciaro's crus. If there is one wine from this portfolio that should be considered every year, it is this one." Vinous
"Made from Nerello Mascalese sourced from all vineyards. The aromas show lots of strawberries and cherries with wrought iron and pumice. Medium bodied with creamy and polished tannins with hints of cedar and light nutmeg. Spicy and slightly tannic, giving it tension and beauty." James Suckling

“Vigna Montebello Sette” Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG 2019
Stylistically balanced, very finesse-rich Chianti Classico Gran Selezione from a small single vineyard (vineyard no. 7) in the Castelnuovo-Berardenga area, where the temperatures are always somewhat higher than in the rest of the Chianti Classico. Dark shining ruby. Elegant bouquet of the single-varietal Sangiovese of red berries with very delicate notes of tobacco. Salty on the palate, shows a lot of pressure, very clear, compact fruit, builds up with tightly woven tannin, very intense and long finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2019 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Vigna Montebello Sette is a potent, heady wine that also shows the previous style here. Macerated cherry, plum, mocha, new leather, licorice and a kiss of French oak all meld together. This potent, layered Gran Selezione offers plenty of impact in a dense, extracted style." Vinous
"A supple red wine with aromas of preserved cherries and plums that fade into eucalyptus and Tuscan scrub on the palate as it evolves. The tannins are rather firm and finish with a slightly astringent feel, so give it time." Wine Spectator
"It is still very youthful and slightly reductive, but clearly shows the dark fruit of Chianti Classico in the south. Blackcurrant and plum are plump and mouth-filling, while nuances of damp earth, smoke and vanilla add intrigue in the background. The tannins are strong but well pronounced, giving the wine an appropriate power. This wine needs another year to develop its complexity and site specificity." Decanter
"A concentrated and very polished Chianti Classico with aromas and flavours of black cherry, gravel and minerals. Medium to full body, firm tannins and a concentrated finish. Bark and berry character on the finish. Firm and racy. It will get better in a year or two, but I like the focus it has." James Suckling

Etna Bianco DOC 2022
Davide Rosso's Etna Bianco from Contrada Montedolce is an energetic, fresh white that impressively emphasises its volcanic character with its mineral salinity. The bouquet begins elegantly with Sicilian flavours of orange blossom and sweet almonds, then opens up with fresh lemon, crushed apples and a hint of wet stone. Its medium concentration and crisp freshness will serve it well as it continues to develop in the bottle. SUPERIORE.DE
"Fresh and clean on the nose, dense and broad but with such clarity and juiciness - really lovely pink grapefruit, lemon and apple with crushed stone minerality and a hint of spice around the edges. The wine comes across as approachable and friendly, almost buttery, giving it a slightly thick texture. Round and forward, lots of life in this wine with lovely juicy acidity that really lifts the expression. Great stuff, chilled with seafood!" Decanter

”à Rina” Rosso Etna DOC 2021
One of the most exciting Etna Rosso with a balsamic, spicy bouquet and a balanced, yet very characterful, juicy, long flavour. Fine fruit, good acidity, firm tannin, beautiful length. Perfectly reflects the terroir. SUPERIORE.DE
"Multi-faceted bouquet with aromas of stone fruit, flowers and subtle tobacco notes; precise on the palate, the tannins are fine-grained and perfectly integrated, develops full of verve towards a long final." Vinum
"It has a tantalising aroma of red and black cherries, almonds, spices and balsamic. In the mouth it is bright and intense, with a good body and balanced savoury red fruits. The finish is fleshy and juicy, stony and slightly bitter (in a positive way)." Decanter
"This is the entry-level red wine from Girolamo Russo. The Etna Rosso 'a Rina 2021 is made from Nerello Mascalese and about 10% Nerello Cappuccio from different vineyards and offers excellent value with wild berries, blue flowers and crushed stone with an elegant mouthfeel. The emphasis is on freshness and balance." Wine Advocate
"Plenty of citrus, orange peel, honey and beeswax with some pumice and volcanic soil. Medium-bodied, with firm and integrated tannins that are energetic and integrated. Very nice now, but even better in three or four years." James Suckling

Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2019
Beautiful and very well-balanced red wine from the three main historical areas of Montalcino, which have different geoclimatic characteristics due to their different slopes and altitudes, thus ensuring a unique balance between freshness and structure, body and elegance. Ruby red in colour with garnet hues, it opens immediately with a rich, complex nose. Initially dark cherry, chinotto orange and violet. It then opens up to broader, more complex notes of blueberry, vanilla, tobacco, cinnamon and chocolate with a subtle menthol finish. The primary fruit is surrounded by spice, grilled herbs and floral earth; nice length. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright ruby red colour. Cherry and tomato leaf on the nose, then a fine leather flavour. Good freshness and juicy fruit on the palate, shows firm body and pressure, accessible, delicately bitter on the final." Falstaff
"Deep ruby red colour. Compact and dense on the nose with notes of sweet raspberries and fresh mint. Lots of sweet raspberry fruit on the palate with a tangy acid nerve that runs through the fullness of the fruit. Firm but ripe and fine-grained tannins. A fairly rich wine, but one that will probably age well." Jancis Robinson
"The 2019 Brunello di Montalcino exudes hints of wild berries, violet pastille and sweet smoke. This is a seductive effort with juicy acidity and vibrant red and blue fruits swirling throughout. Autumnal spices and dark chocolate slowly saturate towards the finish. The 2019 finishes long yet remarkably fresh with a hint of liquorice and slightly grippy tannins. The 2019 aims to please and will provide early satisfaction after a short stay in the cellar while the single-vineyard wines slowly mature." Vinous
"The Brunello from the Val di Suga vineyard is made up of equal parts from the Vigna del Lago vineyard in the north-east, Poggio al Granchio in the south-east and Vigna Spuntali in the south-west of Montalcino. The bright ruby red colour and youthful freshness are well preserved. Concentrated aromas of red cherry with a hint of pepper fade into deep violet and sweet earth. The medium-bodied palate is appealing and pure, offering layers of lush red berry and plump persimmon flavours underscored by juicy acidity. The sandy textured tannins are supple and yielding. Hard to resist." Decanter
"This vibrant red is sleek and harmonious, with strawberry, cherry and currant fruit accented by mineral and wild herb notes. Dusty tannins lend support and texture on the finish. Excellent length." Wine Spectator

“Le Vigne Niche Santo Spirito” Bianco Etna DOC 2022 (BIO)
This Carricante from vines up to 100 years old from a small single vineyard gives no indication of its varietal and terroir origins. Fine fruity aroma, mineral and with a fresh sea breeze. Powerful, well-structured, a fine woody note, balanced and long flavour. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2022 Etna Bianco Le Vigne Niche Santo Spirito rises from the glass with a savoury blend of crushed green apples, wet stones and a hint of chamomile. The wine is silky and soothing, with flavours of ripe apricot and nectarine accompanied by sweet herbs and a hint of candied lime, carried by a lively acidity. The finish is long and lightly textured, leaving a mineral note and traces of Asian pear that slowly fade. I usually consider the Santo Spirito to be the more open and accessible Bianco from the Terre Nere portfolio, but in 2022 it holds its power in reserve." Vinous
"Santo Spirito Bianco is floral and light, with a distinct breeze of citrus, seashells and salt. Concentrated and intense, with a juicy, savoury attack, it is packed with citrus peel, white peach and flowers, yet remains light on its feet, stony and vertical. Soft and long." Decanter
"A very nice and typical white top Etna with aromas of dried apples, lemon shrub and lemongrass that develop into a medium to full body, with a nice fruit core and lots of undertones of nougat, lemon curd and ricotta. Multi-layered." James Suckling

This single-vineyard Carricante comes from the small Montalto vineyard on the southern slope of Etna at an altitude of around 950 metres. It is the most balanced and at the same time most exciting of all Etna Bianco from Terre Nere in terms of its overall impression and flavour; the whole Etna package is present here in exactly the right dose: Minerality, salinity, fruitiness and a perfect hint of orange peel and flint on the nose. On the palate, it is vibrant and fine, with an almost Burgundian dimension, full of finesse and length. SUPERIORE.DE
"Lovely dried apple and lemon with some mineral and stone character both on the nose and palate. It also shows some pumice. Medium body. Crisp and multi-layered." James Suckling
"It is soft, fleshy and peachy in flavour, yet with excellent acidity. Notes of stone and pineapple add vibrancy to this delicious, flavoursome white wine with no alcohol content." Decanter
"Spicy and full of tension, the 2022 Etna Bianco Le Vigne Niche Montalto bursts from the glass with a blend of lemon zest, minty herbs, young peaches and crushed rocks. This opens with a pretty inner sweetness and crisp minerality, rushing the palate with ripe orchard fruits elevated by candied citrus. The Montalto finishes with fantastic length and potency, lightly structured and tactile. This gorgeous Etna Bianco is drinking beautifully today yet with the balance to promote medium-term cellaring." Vinous
