“Corte del Lupo” Rosso Curtefranca DOC 2017
2017 is the second vintage of the "new" Curtefranca Rosso. It is a journey into the past of the region and the winery. This cuvée combines in a very harmonious way the fruitiness of the Merlot with the elegance of the Cabernet Franc and the fullness of the Carménère grape. A third of Cabernet Sauvignon provides backbone, structure and stability and ensures good ageing potential. “Tavernetto” Pinot Nero Provincia di Pavia IGT 2016
As early as 1865, the first 1,850 Pinot Noir vines were brought to Italy from Burgundy by Count Vistarino. Since then, the vinification of this demanding grape variety has been continually refined by generations. Today, the Pinot Noir Noirs of the dynasty of winegrowers can even outshine much more expensive Pinot Noirs from Burgundy at international tastings.
Tavernetto is the third cru of the house, named after the 1.71 hectare vineyard, where the grapes develop magnificently at an altitude of 250 m to 325 m and with a south-southeast orientation. It is considered the most balanced of the Tenuta vineyards, with the most consistent positive results. The calcareous subsoil of the single vineyard site is ideal for Pinot Nero, resulting in a top quality wine with great personality.
Intense ruby garnet. Fruity on the nose with elegant, fresh notes, yet the depth and complexity of this Pinot Noir can already be guessed. In the drink full, round and fruity, the silky tannins flank its fine spice up to the elegant finish. SUPERIORE.DE

Corte del Lupo Bianco celebrated its debut with the 2017 vintage, it is the successor of the classic Curtefranca Bianco, which has been popular for years. The grapes come from 11 historic vineyards planted with Chardonnay and Pinot Bianco. They are about 30 years old. Brilliant straw yellow, with a fresh apricot scent, a fine wood note and a structured, balanced taste. Spicy and round on the palate, in the finish a fine acidity, which is carried by a mineral note.
