The Ca' Guicciardi vineyard takes its name from the farmhouse situated at its centre. This single-vineyard plot is characterised by small, very steep valleys. Impressive rock faces alternate with terraces supported by some of the highest dry stone walls in the Valtellina. The distinctive colour of the rock, which tends towards a quartz-like white, significantly intensifies the sun's heat, resulting in higher temperatures and more light here than in other parts of the valley.

Vigna Ca' Guicciardi has an intense, bright ruby-red colour, with pronounced aromas of ripe red fruits, dominated by notes of black cherry and redcurrant, along with hints of spices, and, in the background, hints of liquorice, cloves and cinnamon. On the palate, it is soft and full-bodied, without ever seeming heavy or losing sight of its Alpine origins. One cannot help but draw a comparison with a complex Burgundy; its rounded tannins and wonderful depth and length round off the experience in a well-balanced and highly elegant manner. SUPERIORE.DE
