“Core” Aglianico Campania IGT 2020
Core Rosso impresses with a blend of dark, rich fruit, exotic spices, boulders and peppery herbs. It is unexpectedly soft and airy, with a pure display of pure plums, complemented by nuances of sage and rosy flowers that develop towards the end. A layer of fine tannin leads into the lingering final, while hints of liquorice and blackcurrant linger. Great ageing potential! SUPERIORE.DE
"A lighter expression of aglianico, handled with aplomb. Sapid red cherry, lilac, a waft of tobacco, licorice root and a curb of freshness. Among the better approaches to crafting this wiry variety into an earlier drinking expression, sans any sacrifice of integrity. Prosaic in the most delicious sense." James Suckling
"Core means "heart" in the Italian dialect, and a heart-shaped drawing is prominent on the front label. The Montevetrano 2020 Core Rosso has some hot-vintage astringency but not much, with fine chalky tannins. Made with 100% Aglianico, the wine is fruit-forward to be sure, with inky black cherry and ripe plum. There is pretty spice on the close." Wine Advocate

Cecubo is a historic cuvée of Abbuoto, Primitivo and Piedirosso, among others, which was already highly appreciated by the ancient Romans. Falanghina Campania IGT 2022
Bright, aromatic, almost exuberant Falanghina that focuses on its well-defined, brilliant fruit and pleasantly pleasing style. Fine summer meadow scent, citrusy tones and a dry cereal note on the palate. Very endearing and full of character at the same time! SUPERIORE.DE
"Another representative of pure craftsmanship, a pure Falanghina aged only in steel. On the nose, notes of jasmine, yellow plums, a touch of fresh thyme and white pepper. The taste is fruity and floral, with balsamic and spicy hints." Luca Gardini

“Campanaro” Bianco Irpinia DOC 2020
Campanaro from Fiano and Greco glows in a warm, sunny yellow hue. The bouquet reveals a variety of scents, ripe pear, candied orange peel and fig, followed by honey and hawthorn. The palate presents its rich and round texture as well as a fine pleasant acidity. The underlying mineral content gives the wine fresh highlights and leads to a balanced, wonderful finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Aromas of dried pineapples, mangoes, caramel, grilled herbs and buttered toast. Medium to full body with a creamy, ripe and layered palate. Lots of flavor." James Suckling
"This is a new Riserva expression from Feudi di San Gregorio. The 2020 Fiano di Avellino Riserva Campanaro is beautifully smooth and silky. It presents pretty aromas of Anjou pear, Golden Delicious apple, blanched almond and gentle notes of hay or dried grass. Those fruit tones are capped by crushed stone and chalk." Wine Advocate

Taurasi DOCG 2018
Pure variety Aglianico, whose grapes come from Pietradefusi and S. Angelo all'Esca. Brilliant ruby red with garnet highlights, an enveloping bouquet of morello cherries and marasca cherries in harmony with notes of cinnamon and nutmeg, vanilla and aniseed. The full, balanced taste with sweet, silky tannins ends in an aromatic, lingering final. SUPERIORE.DE
"Sparkling, rich ruby red. Smells of cranberries, sour cherries and fresh plums on the nose. Juicy and with lots of clear fruit on the palate, opens with present tannin polished at the core, salty on the final." Falstaff
"A medium-bodied red wine with aromas and flavours of blackberries, wet earth and graphite. Fine tannins and a lovely finish. This is a polished and fine Taurasi." James Suckling
"The 2018 Taurasi is velvety and darkly saturated with an extracted flavour profile that focuses on black plum, blackberry jam and tarry aromas. The wine presents a veritable wall of black fruit flavours, but it also softens with time, thanks to burgeoning tertiary tones of spice, cured leather and earth. The leather aroma lingers the longest." Wine Advocate

Fiano Campania IGT 2021
This Pietracupa wine perfectly combines the aromatic grace of Fiano di Avellino with the mineral strength of the Montefredane soil. Citrus notes on the nose, a variety of fruit flavours on the palate, rocky minerality, complexity and an excellent structure beguile the senses. SUPERIORE.DE
"The Pietracupa 2021 Fiano is a linear and crisp white wine that opens to a flinty mineral tone that dovetails into unripe peach, white flower and pulpy grapefruit. The whole presentation is smooth and very true to this fantastic white grape from southern Italy. The wine ends with notes of freshness and saltiness, and it's all beautifully balanced." Wine Advocate
"Colline di Montefredano, province of Avellino, a commendable project of denial of the territory from which this Fiano comes, produced exclusively in steel. On the nose, marjoram and white peach, then wisteria and lime, salty, crisp, slightly almondy on the palate." Luca Gardini

“DUBL” Metodo Classico Rosé VSQ brut
Feudi di San Gregorio's DUBL project was born in 2004 from an awareness of the great richness of the autochthonous vines of the Irpinia region and the desire to open up new horizons for them: as a Metodo Classico Spumante or by means of the famous Méthode Champenoise. An advisor was quickly found for this - none other than Anselme Selosse, who is known for his champagnes and his feeling for the particularities of the vines and vineyards.

“More Maiorum” Fiano di Avellino DOCG 2017
A hearty, spicy Fiano di Avellino that impresses with its fruitiness and aromas of sausage, bacon and smoke. Complex on the palate of tropical fruits, candy and minerals, full-bodied long. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2017 Bianco More Maiorum is very tasty in the glass, combining musk, dried apricots, yellow flowers, ginger and crushed rock. The palate is almost salty, showing a crisp purity of tart fruit and mineral tones, with an almost crisp feel towards the finish. The finish is marked by bitter almonds and lemon peel and ends with admirable length, but dry and grippy." Vinous
"This wine starts with a lovely lemon, cedar peel and wild onion character on the nose, mixed with a touch of oak. The palate is medium to full-bodied with bright citrus fruit that lingers until the end. It leaves a long aftertaste of lemon peel, dry minerals and caramel." James Suckling
"Here is a beautifully matured blend of equal parts Fiano and Greco. The 2017 Irpinia Bianco More Maiorum from the historic Mastroberardino estate shows a rich, mid-weight style with layers of beeswax, stone fruit, thick-skinned cedro lemon and underripe apricot. A nice hint of petrol and gravel adds to the wine's complexity and highlights the smooth evolution of this impressive five-year-old white." Wine Advocate

A quarter of the base wines of this top product is aged for 6 months in oak barrels, then the cuvée matures for 2 years in the bottle on the fine lees before it is disgorged. Strong light yellow and a super-fine perlage. On the nose, light fruit, yeasty notes and nuances of fresh bread. On the palate then powerful, fresh, with beautiful spice and a potpourri of stone fruit, fine honey notes and toasted almonds. SUPERIORE.DE
"Complex nose with aromas to sweet lemons, apples, chamomile, grapefruit and toasted notes. Dry on the palate, vibrant and crisp." Decanter
"This is a cuvée of Greco and Falanghina aged on the lees for 36 months. The sparkling Feudi di San Gregorio NV Dubl Edition I Brut will be released in March 2023. “Vigna Andrea” Taurasi DOCG 2019
Taurasi Vigna Andrea - a rich Aglianico with outstanding depth. On the nose, typical varietal aromas of dark cherries, plums, smoke, cedar wood and tobacco, which develop wonderfully over time. Complex on the palate, with a good portion of velvety tannins and a deep, masculine finish. Great ageing and maturation potential. SUPERIORE.DE
"A distinctive red, with a rich note of fresh loamy earth and hints of dark chocolate and sage, layered with dried raspberry, blackberry coulis and macerated black cherry flavors. Reveals a savory, sanguine edge that reins in the rich fruit flavors, as does a frame of bright orange peel acidity. Offers taut, chalky tannins that firm the finish. Let this open in the glass or decant." Wine Spectator
"The Taurasi Vigna Andrea 2019 tantalises the senses with sweet exotic spices and cedar wood shavings that fade into medicinal blackberries and cherries. It is silky and polished on the palate. A lively acidity accompanies the ripe wild berry fruit, while the fine tannins slowly build up towards the end. The 2019 finishes lightly structured with lingering candied sweetness, tactile mineral tones and a hint of blood orange. The 2019 is deceptively accessible today, but wonderfully balanced for a long and successful development." Vinous

“Pietraincatenata” Fiano Cilento DOC 2022 (BIO)
Fiano Pietraincatenata is the winery's flagship white wine and takes the grape variety to a whole new level. The bouquet is a fascinating blend of grapefruit, lime zest and peach with a hint of sweet smoke as it warms up in the glass. Silky yet savoury to the core on the palate. A cornucopia of citrus fruits and minerals completes the green apple fruit. Tense and invigorating as it progresses and finishes, but still well suited to further and exciting bottle ageing. Radici Taurasi DOCG 2017
Taurasi Radici 2017 is a dark and savoury wine with densely stacked aromas of black fruit, tar, liquorice and bonfire ash. This is a Taurasi between tenor and bass from a warm and sunny vintage, characterised by concentrated and rich flavours. Despite the obvious power you get here, it remains concentrated and sharp in a beautiful way. SUPERIORE.DE
"The Mastroberardino 2017 Taurasi Riserva Radici shows evolved fruit notes and abundant oak toast with campfire ash, cooked plum, exotic spice and barbecue. This was a challenging vintage in southern Italy with very hot and dry growing conditions that made for difficult fruit selection. You sense that ripeness here thanks to the wine's rather abundant personality and its cooked fruit flavors." Wine Advocate
"Ripe fruit and medicinal herbs on the nose continue on the palate, with crushed black raspberries and cassis, Earl Grey tea leaves and hints of mocha and tarry smoke. Fresh and well-knit, with chalky, plastic tannins and a finish that reflects the fruit, herbs and mineral character." Wine Spectator
"Already complex on the nose with blue and black fruits as well as notes of nori, goudron and spices such as cinnamon and mace. Full-bodied with intense, almost steely fruit and mineral flavours and firm, medium-grained tannins. The quality is obvious here. It's still a little rough around the edges at the moment and needs a few years to settle down and develop in all directions. Try it from 2023 onwards." James Suckling
"The 2017 Taurasi Radici is a force to be reckoned with as it bursts from the glass with masses of raspberry, redcurrant and plum, complemented by an array of autumnal spices and crushed violets. Its textural depth and density is impressive, silky, almost creamy, but perfectly contrasted by a core of mineral black fruits and vibrant acids, while a hint of rose and clove builds towards the finish. The 2017 is persistent and structured, but also incredibly fresh, with fine tannins framing the smoky, mineral tones and lingering notes of blackberry and olive. This is a wonderful interpretation of Radici that should offer harvesta slightly earlier drinking window than normally expected. However, we are talking about a Taurasi here, and this wine has a very bright future ahead of it." Vinous

Radici Taurasi DOCG 2018
A very special wine made from overripe and strictly selected Aglianico grapes that thrive in Mastroberardino's south-facing vineyards. The Taurasi is aged for two years in oak barrels and one year in the bottle. A wine with a fascinating personality, power and extremely high ageing Storage potential. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2018 Taurasi Radici is like pushing through a cinder block to find a treasure chest of exotic spices, incense and cinnamon-coloured blackcurrants. It's a soft and generous expression of Radici, with a depth of tart black fruits balanced by dark chocolate and sour citrus notes. It finishes with tremendous length, but without the typical hard tannins associated with Aglianico in its youth, leaving behind inner earth and herbal notes. The 2018 finishes on a savoury note. This Radici is a much stronger expression of Radici." Vinous
"Bright ruby red with a slightly brightening rim. On the nose, ripe heart cherries and dark forest berries, with an aftertaste of violets, leather and undergrowth, very complex. Fresh and savoury on the palate, with fine-grained and well-integrated tannins, lots of ripe fruit, long final, a long runner." Falstaff
"The Mastroberardino 2018 Taurasi Radici, with its distinctive black label, offers impressive complexity with a long succession of flavours that include dried blackberries, cherry liqueur, tarry smoke, campfire ash, sweet baking spices and cinnamon. Blackberries, rosemary sprigs and forest floor also characterise the bouquet. The whole is rounded off with soft tobacco. This wine displays powerful fruit and an equally balanced oak flavour. The tannins are well integrated and the Radici is long-lasting." Wine Advocate
"The nose is heavy with dark fruit and flowers, but edgier, slightly spicy aromas of graphite and pepper provide balance. On the palate, the fruit sweetens but is balanced by bitter dark chocolate, before an overwhelming earthiness arrives riding an avalanche of dusty tannins, and a rush of acid harkens back to the subtle metallic tang of the nose." "The Stilèma project was born as a testimony of Antonio Mastroberardino's love for his land, his vines and his wines, for their original character." Piero Mastroberardino
The project aims to highlight the link between the vines, the wines and their territorial origins. In this way, the Mastroberardino family wants to recreate the style of winemaking of the autochthonous grape varieties of Irpinia (Greco, Fiano and Aglianico) that took place between the end of the 1950s and the beginning of the 1970s of the twentieth century for the Taurasi and between the years 1970 and 1980 for the two white wines from Irpinia. It is the unmistakable style (the stilèma) of a family that has interpreted the natural heritage of its territory over generations and today impressively highlights the genuine character of the terroir, which by no means can be expressed by high concentration and intensity alone.
Pale straw yellow with light green reflections. The 24 months of yeast ageing of this exceptional Fiano create a fascinating balance and complexity of the aroma profile with classic hints of flint, fine saltiness, the scent of fresh almonds, cedar wood and wild herbs. The taste is lively with a pronounced mineral note, accompanied by an inspiring freshness that gives it great drinkability and finesse. The precise and very long finish is also extremely convincing. SUPERIORE.DE
"Lean and mineral, with a pure fruit bundle of apricot and white cherry and base notes of stone and salt, with accents of white flowers, pink grapefruit pith, liquorice and smoked almond. Supple and well-integrated, with a delicious, lingering finish." Wine Spectator
"The 2018 Fiano di Avellino Riserva Stilèma opens slowly with notes of dried flowers and crushed stones that are replaced by apricots and ginger. It is silky yet supple, showing its minerality up front accompanied by tart fruit. The final is structured and long, colouring the palate with youthful concentration as notes of young peach and raw almond fade away. The 2018 is a powerful interpretation of Fiano Stilèma. Give it some time to relax." Vinous
"Slightly reticent nose, with suggestions of lemon flowers and dry minerals. Opens up on the silky, full-bodied palate to offer lovely fresh lemon and creamy mineral flavors that are driven by subtle acidity through the long finish. This is a noble, refined fiano that’s drinking so well now." James Suckling
"The Mastroberardino 2018 Fiano di Avellino Riserva Stiléma has been upgraded to Riserva and is creamy and smooth. The wine shows a medium fruit weight with notes of fruit trees and preserved lemons, enhanced by light oak spice and vanilla. Even more than the Greco Riserva Stiléma, which I also tasted, this Fiano seems more modern or "New World" in personality." Wine Advocate

“Cenito” Aglianico Cilento DOC 2021 (BIO)
Deep ruby red in colour. Cenito seduces with complex aromas of dark red fruits, cinnamon and cloves mingling with earthy tones, mint, chalk dust and camphor. The palate is seamlessly smooth and elegant, with ripe wild berries flowing over a core of vibrant acidity, while a hint of acidic citrus adds tension towards the end. The finish is structured and long, with fine-grained tannins and floral notes of sour plums and violets. Cenito is Cilento Aglianico at its best. It is deceptively accessible and gentle, but the tension increases with every sip. Have patience and enjoy this great Aglianico! SUPERIORE.DE

“Piano di Montevergine” Taurasi Riserva DOCG 2016
Feudi's Riserva Piano di Montevergine is only vinified in outstanding years. The wine has a very impressive concentration and great richness in every vintage. Dark and brooding on first impression, it slowly awakens in the glass with a captivating blend of menthol, mint and exotic spices that evolves with a lively note of cinnamon-dusted redcurrant. This velvety-smooth and elegant wine appears heavy at first, but is quickly enlivened by a core of vibrant acidity and zesty citrus notes that embellish the tart black fruits. The tannins on the finish are sweet and chalky, while notes of wild red plum and blood orange keep the tasterer coming back for more. SUPERIORE.DE
"Very fragrant and exotic nose of fresh dates, Turkish delight, red berries and mustard seeds. Full-bodied with firm, silky tannins and some Riserva-style oak, which gives the fruit a darker edge without taking away the exotic character. The fruit and spices even lighten up on the finish. Long and flavourful with plenty of variety. It's interesting to try it now, but it still has a long way to go." James Suckling
"Offering a dark and savory underpinning of cured tobacco, fresh earth, leather and iron notes, this focused red is also fresh and vibrant, with ripe, crushed black raspberry and mulberry fruit, plus hints of red licorice, espresso crema, graphite and milled pepper. Showing a core of taut, fine-grained tannins, this 2016 is still tightly meshed and dense after extended aging. This opens nicely in the glass and should shine with additional cellaring." Wine Spectator
"The Feudi di San Gregorio 2016 Taurasi Riserva Piano di Montevergine is a significant wine that has raised the bar in this storied appellation. It shows well-managed development, polished tannins, dark fruit and plenty of savoury spice and campfire ash. There are also some dusty minerals that give it definition and complexity." Wine Advocate
"Plum sauce, pencil lead, clove, balsamic spice, mint, rosemary, stone dust, rose petals and more... Every time the Taurasi Riserva Piano di Monte Vergine 2016 is tipped in the glass, it seems to reveal further depths. This wine is simply stunning, with a silky texture of tart wild berries, citrus and brilliant acidity. Energetic but still youthfully tense and structured, its web of fine-grained tannins appears late and slowly tightens as rosemary and tangerine resonance mingle and fizzle out. The Piano di Monte Vergine 2016 is a classic in the making." Vinous

“Cupo” Fiano Campania IGT 2018
Only in the best years does Sabino Loffredo vinify a tiny portion of his best Fiano grapes from the Cru site in Toppole Montefredane as a single-site white wine. The result is called Cupo, is virtually hand-picked and can hardly be surpassed in purity and minerality. Slender and racy in the glass, it reveals an overwhelming freshness, notes of grapefruit and a subtle saltiness that is otherwise only found in the neighbour Quintodecimo or in the whites from Etna. A real class of its own and we are delighted to have been allowed a small allocation! SUPERIORE.DE
"Talented Sabino Loffredo's wines are identified by a sleek mineral tanginess. This 2018 vintage of his selection 'Cupo' from Montefredane is intense and smoky with Mirabelle plum and an iodine character. The palate is dominated by a Mojito-like flavour of lime and mint, with stone fruit in depth. It displays great refinement of phenolics, with a tight-knit structure and lifted acidity through to the finish. One of the greatest Fiano I have tasted in 2021." Decanter

“DUBL ESSE” Metodo Classico VSQ dosaggio zero
Feudi di San Gregorio's DUBL project was born in 2004 from an awareness of the great richness of the autochthonous vines of the Irpinia region and the desire to open up new horizons for them: as a Metodo Classico Spumante or by means of the famous Méthode Champenoise. An advisor was quickly found for this - none other than Anselme Selosse, who is known for his champagnes and his feeling for the particularities of the vines and vineyards.
A quarter of the base wines of this top product is aged for 6 months in oak barrels, then the cuvée matures for 3 years in the bottle on the fine lees before it is disgorged. Strong light yellow and a super-fine perlage. On the nose, light fruit, yeasty notes and nuances of fresh bread. On the palate, powerful, fresh, with a nice spiciness and a potpourri of stone fruit, fine honey notes and toasted almonds. This sparkling wine does not need any dosage at all, it is extremely dry with all its aromatic diversity and for us, with its impressive finish, it is one of the very great Spumanti in Italy.
