Barolo “Vite Talin” DOCG 2015 · in gift box
Vite Talin was first "born" in 2013 and the story goes back to 1987, when Luciano Sandrone found a vine in one of his vineyards whose grapes were barely half the size of the other plants around it. Luciano decided to grow several shoots from this plant and distributed them among three of his vineyards. Today, in its third vintage, Vite Talin is still probably the most spectacular red in the entire Barolo appellation, with a total production of just 2,000 bottles.
Vite Talin is almost indescribable, it is a paragon of the opposites of transparency and power - and an unprecedented expression of a Barolo that cannot be compared with the usual standards of the region. Its complexity, the never-ending reverberation and the linear intensity and at the same time extreme fineness on all levels require a very intensive study of this wine, which is ultimately rewarded in the most exquisite way.
Intense ruby red with garnet reflections. On the nose, red berries, spices and a cornucopia of other aromas that only reveal themselves with further oxygenation. Fleshy, juicy, powerful and extremely precise and structured on the palate. At today's still very young age, one can only guess what it will become in further years of bottle ageing. A monument of wine - already today - the tannins soft, complex and captivating. This is the archetype of a Nebbiolo, which impressively demonstrates to every friend of the grape variety that it is not necessarily always the location, but also the quality of the grape and the subsequent wise vinification that makes it a real red and unforgettable royal wine of Italy. Barolo Ravera DOCG 2018 · MAGNUM in OWC

Barolo Lazzarito DOCG 2018 · MAGNUM in OWC

The balsamic symphony opens the doors to a sip that is undoubtedly powerful, but at the same time refreshing and rich in vitamins. With added aeration, Lazzarito delivers mint and balsamic herbs. Lazzarito sets the pace and never loses its rhythm, the great texture of the tannins flanks this palate spectacle in an ideal way and we will discover much more about this great Barolo in the years to come. Barolo Brunate DOCG 2018 · MAGNUM in OWC
Luca Currado cultivates the Brunate Cru on the La Morra side of the vineyard (opposite the Barolo side) and this wine contains fruit from new plots. It convinces with an impressive aroma of red berries, cherries, wild herbs, mint, minerals and rose petals, rounded off by a hint of blood orange. On the palate we find a terrific softness and textural silkiness, this continues with hints of mint, liquorice and camphor ash for many minutes. Barolo Monvigliero DOCG 2018 · MAGNUM in OWC
The second novelty of the 2018 vintage is Vietti's Barolo Monvigliero. The special feature: Approx. 60% of the grapes are not destemmed, which enhances the aromatic nuances of the wine. Youthful notes of raspberry and blueberry are flanked by black pepper, gentian, porcelain and black olives. The palate has a beguilingly soft texture, fine and creamy, underpinned by wonderful laurel and floral aromas. Monvigliero impresses with its purity, its serenity and its class. Excellent. The Barolo Cannubi with its interpretation of the Nebbiolo grape, probably the purest at Altare, has been the ambitious project of daughter Silvia since 2011 and represents an exciting rounding off of the already almost unique collection. Sparkling, brightening ruby garnet. A very clear and inviting nose, smelling of ripe raspberries and plums, a little rose petals, subtle hints of cloves in the background. The supremely potent Rocche di Castiglione is often referred to as the first "official" cru in the history of Langa (along with Bussia di Prunotto, both of which were released with the 1961 vintage). It confirms itself once again as the great classic of the house with the 2018 edition. Dark fruits, pressed lilac, blood orange, powdered liquorice, balsamic herbs, spices, iron ore and aniseed fit together perfectly like pieces of a puzzle. The history of Vite Talin goes back to 1987, when Luciano Sandrone found a vine in one of his vineyards whose grapes were just half the size of the other plants around it. Luciano decided to grow several shoots from this plant and distributed them across three of his vineyards. Today, now in its fourth vintage, Vite Talin is still one of the most spectacular reds in the entire Barolo appellation, with a total production of just 2,000 bottles.
Vite Talin is almost indescribable, it is a paragon of the opposites of transparency and power - and an unprecedented expression of a Barolo that cannot be compared with the usual standards of the region. Its complexity, the never-ending aftertaste and the linear intensity and extreme finesse at all levels require a very intensive study of this wine, which is ultimately rewarded in the most excellent way.
Intense ruby red with garnet-red reflections. On the nose, red berries, spices and a cornucopia of other flavours that only reveal themselves with further oxygenation. Fleshy, juicy, powerful and extremely precise and structured on the palate. At this still very young age, one can only imagine what it will become in further years of ageing in the bottle. Barbaresco Roncaglie “Masseria” DOCG 2018 · Double MAGNUM in OWC
First bottled in 1967, the Masseria comes from a vineyard in Bricco di Neive and is essentially vinified and aged like a Barolo. The 2018 vintage - now for the first time from a small parcel that used to belong to the Barbaresco winery Socré - was also deliberately released a year later to provide more harmony and balance. Vietti's Masseria is always delicate and refined, and this is all the more true for the current vintage.
On the nose, aromas of red fruits, especially blackberries and currants, but also earthy and bloody notes. In the mouth, the polished and shiny tannins typical of the vineyard, framed by a very vertical and precise fruit and herbaceous nuances. In the long finish, a wonderful freshness, then subtle notes of menthol and again this fascinating herbal spiciness. Back then, when Angelo planted a vineyard with Cabernet Sauvignon, Angelo's grandfather spoke of a disgrace. This word (Italian: Darmagi) eventually gave the single-varietal Cabernet its name.
