Markus Prackwieser's Sauvignon vines are planted on calcareous moraines with firm quartz porphyry at the foot of the Schlern massif about 400-480 metres above sea level. Sparkling, light straw yellow. Very intense, appealing nose, of tomato leaves, sage, some thyme and white asparagus. Salty and freshly vibrating on the palate, densely woven, shows distinctly fragrant components there too, fine gooseberry, juicy and full of tension. SUPERIORE.DE

The Maggiorina vineyards in the municipality of Boca and Prato Sesia are situated at altitudes between 400 and 450 metres. The vines are now 40 to 100 years old. Behind the name Maggiorina lies an ancient heritage of vineyard planting that dates back to before Roman times. The viticulture in the hills of Novara is already mentioned by Pliny the Elder (23-79 A.D.) in his "storia naturalis". For centuries, the maggiorina system was the only way of planting the vineyards in Boca: three vines develop in the four cardinal directions and form a square like a cup (quadretto maggiorino).

Maggiorina is produced from Croatina and Nebbiolo grapes as well as 10 other indigenous varieties and is a so-called mixed set with a lot of bite, sour cherry and red currant aromas and an incredible drinking flow. Maggiorina presents itself fresh, lively, delicately perfumed and at the same time fruity, mineral and spicy. The bright red cherry fruit and a whole host of floral and herbal notes give the wine its striking aromatic presence. We are in love with its energy and personality, combined with a certain wildness and race that is exceedingly appealing and striking. SUPERIORE.DE

South of Margreid lies the "15er" vineyard, which is characterised by deposits from the Fenner stream and the Adige river and has been planted largely with Merlot vines since 1957. Its location enjoys particularly good aeration thanks to the warm wind from Lake Garda, the Ora, which gives the wine a delicate structure and great finesse. Cherry red in colour with a ruby red sheen. Impressive bouquet of concentrated fruit, pepper and vegetal notes. This very typical Sauvignon bianco grows on glacial limestone soils at an altitude of up to 900 metres. Brilliant lemon yellow. Intense, well articulated nose of gooseberry, kiwi, lemon curd and lilac. On the palate medium pressure, creamy texture with balanced acid wire, great fruit components with hints of pepper and green papaya. As it progresses, a taut minerality emerges, finishing with flint and dried lemon peel. A typical Sauvignon bianco with everything to please the heart.
