“Fiulòt” Barbera d’Asti DOCG 2023
The grapes for the savoury Fiulòt come from selected hillside parcels of Astigiano. Harvested and processed parcel by parcel, the must ferments at a controlled temperature in stainless steel; ageing on the fine lees in tanks preserves freshness, precision and varietal purity – in the spirit of an animating Barbera style. Bright ruby red in colour with a violet hue. Clear, ripe cherry and plum fruit, redcurrant, violets and a fine hint of liquorice on the nose. Juicy and straightforward on the palate: lively, well-integrated acidity, soft, fine-grained tannins and a smooth texture with a good drinking flow. The stainless steel ageing keeps the fruit crystal clear and the finish fresh. A charming, very varietal Barbera d'Asti that brings origin and elegance to the glass in an uncomplicated way – ideal with traditional cuisine. SUPERIORE.DE

Moscato d’Asti DOCG 2024
The grapes come from selected hillside parcels in Astigiano. Gently pressed, cool-fermented and matured in pressurised tanks, the wine is bottled early to preserve its freshness, varietal purity and fine, natural residual sweetness; the gentle perlage style remains deliberately light. Bright, radiant straw yellow in colour with a delicate, persistent perlage. Fragrant aromas on the nose: orange blossom and white flowers, plus peach and a hint of sage. Sweet on the palate, but light as a feather: juicy stone fruit, fine mousse and a lively, citric acidity keep the balance perfectly. The finish is clear, cool and aromatic, with a slight salty tang. An elegant, pure Moscato d'Asti – lively, fragrant and precise at the same time, ideal as an aperitif or with fine pastries and fruit desserts. SUPERIORE.DE

Fiulot – simply "the boy" in the Piedmontese dialect. A name that says it all: no heaviness, no complexity at any price, but the undisguised energy of a wine that is allowed to remain entirely with its fruit. 100% Barbera from the Astigiano – hills with clayier, moister soil than the sites around Alba, ideal for this lively, aromatically open style. Moscato d’Asti DOCG 2025
Moscato Bianco di Canelli – the most aromatic variety of Muscat, at home in the hills of Astigiano for centuries. Prunotto, one of the most reliable addresses in the Langhe since 1904, presses a wine from it that makes no compromises: only fruit, only flavour, only freshness. Hand-picked from 4 to 16 September 2025, the grapes are pressed and initially spend a short time in the press – enough time for the flavours from the skins to pass into the "mosto fiore". Stainless steel tanks, controlled fermentation down to 5.0% alcohol, then fermentation interrupted by cooling. No wood, no detours – the wine remains entirely its own.

Dolcetto d’Alba DOC 2023
The grapes come from selected hillside parcels around Alba. After careful manual harvesting, they are carefully destemmed, fermented at a controlled temperature in stainless steel and briefly macerated; subsequent storage on fine lees in tanks preserves freshness, varietal purity and the typical drinkability. Bright ruby red in colour with a violet hue. Red cherry and blackberry on the nose, along with violets, a hint of plum and the delicate bitter almond note that makes Dolcetto so charming. Juicy and straightforward on the palate: pure fruit, moderately lively acidity and fine-grained, soft tannins; a cool, slightly mineral flavour keeps the final clear and animating. Dolcetto is the third voice in the Piedmontese trio – after Nebbiolo and Barbera, the most accessible, the most immediate. No grand gestures, no long maturation periods. Barbera d’Alba DOC 2024
Barbera is the heart of everyday life in Piedmont – but anyone who knows it knows that everyday life can be demanding. Prunotto harvests it from clay and sandy soils around Alba, lets several vineyards grow together in spring and consistently does without wood. The variety should speak, not be moulded. 2024 was a wet, labour-intensive vintage. Consistent thinning out in the vineyard ensured the concentration – and the freshness that makes this Barbera so lively. Calliano, Basso Monferrato. Three hundred metres above the gentle hills of Monferrato lies the single vineyard that gives this wine its name – and its character. Calcareous, clayey soils with veins of sand, an assemblage that is not a matter of course in Piedmont: 60% Barbera, 40% Syrah. Two grape varieties that could hardly be more different – one indigenous and acidic, the other a Rhône traveller with tannin structure and spice. “Arveja” Arneis Langhe DOC 2024
White postcard from the Langhe: gentle hills, morning breezes – and Arneis in its purest form. Arveja comes from selected, higher-lying parcels around Alba; the harvest is cool and selective, and the ageing is deliberately focussed on freshness and clarity. Pale straw yellow in the glass with a greenish tinge. Open bouquet of white flowers, green apple skin, juicy pear with a hint of citrus zest, underneath a fine, stony-mineral tone. Straightforward, juicy on the palate, with lively acidity and a delicate creaminess in the flow. The fruit remains cool and precise, with a small almondy accent for a Piedmontese wink. The final is long and salty-fresh. The grapes come from high slopes near Monforte d'Alba from the historic Pian Romualdo parcel. Soils characterised by limestone and marl with sandy veins, noticeable day-night amplitudes and strict yield limits provide concentrated, pure harvest. The year 2022 passed without any notable restrictions: a warm, dry summer with reduced yields, followed by beneficial rainfall and cool nights in autumn. Barolo DOCG 2021
A historic Barolo from the estate (first produced in 1905!), composed from Nebbiolo parcels in the heart of the appellation. The grapes are selectively harvested by hand, the lots are carefully destemmed and fermented; maceration takes around eight days at moderate temperatures and malolactic fermentation is completed before the onset of winter. The wine then matures for at least 18 months in large oak barrels of various sizes – an ageing process that preserves balance, transparency and expression of origin. The 2021 vintage began with a mild winter and abundant rainfall, which created valuable water reserves. A light frost in mid-April reduced the yields, but without affecting the quality. This was followed by a long, stable summer without heat peaks; scattered thunderstorms in June/July and pronounced day/night amplitudes during the ripening phase ensured a precise harvest from 6 to 15 October. The grapes achieved excellent phenolic ripeness with bright acidity.

![Barbaresco Bric Turot DOCG 2022]()
Barbaresco Bric Turot DOCG 2022
It was Domizio Cavazza, director of the Royal School of Viticulture in Alba, who gave Barbaresco its name and its claim to fame in 1894. A wine that was to stand up to the more powerful Barolo – finer, accessible earlier, but no less complex. More than a century later, the roles are clearly divided: Barbaresco stands for the elegant side of Nebbiolo, for finesse instead of power, for fragrance instead of darkness. Prunotto has found his answer to this appellation in a single vineyard: Bric Turot. Five hectares at around 200 metres, with an exposure from south-west to south-east, which gives the hill the shape of a natural amphitheatre. The soil – tortonian limestone and marl with veins of sand, rich in magnesium and manganese – is the same foundation on which Gajas Sorì Tildin stands just a few metres away. Not bad terrain then.

1961: Beppe Colla makes a decision that will set a precedent in the history of Barolo: no more blends from different vineyards, but a wine from a single vineyard – bussia. An amphitheatre in Monforte d'Alba, seven hectares, at around 350 metres, exposed from south-west to south. Soils of limestone, marl, the famous "Marne di Sant'Agata Fossili". Terroir that gives the Nebbiolo strength without taking away its soul. 2021 was the year that the classic needs: a snowy winter with a good water supply, a long, temperate summer without heat peaks, strong temperature fluctuations in autumn. The light frosts in April reduced the yield – and concentrated what remained. Harvest from 29 September to 13 October, in perfect condition. Destemming in the cellar, maceration for 8 to 10 days at a maximum temperature of 30°C, malolactic fermentation before winter. A south-west to south-east exposure that gives the Bric Turot its amphitheatrical shape – and the Nebbiolo all directions at the same time. 2019 was not a favourable vintage. A mild winter caused the vegetation to awaken early – then damp, cold weather from April to the end of May slowed down flowering, reduced fruit set and limited yields from the outset. The summer brought warmth and drought, interrupted by rainfall from mid-July. August with cool nights, September rains, then clarity and slow, patient ripening until well into October. The Antinoris rightly boast of having created the "Supertuscans" in the 1970s, and from then on they unswervingly pursued their quest for more unique wines in the world. Their quest led them, among others, to the Prunotto winery, which, thanks to its amazing wine quality, is one of the top addresses in the Italian wine world and which, since its founding in 1904, has transformed itself from a cellar cooperative to a first-class top wine estate.
The company's glittering future was secured in 1923 primarily by its namesake Alfredo Prunotto, when he on his own initiative rescued the cooperative, which had fallen into financial difficulties, from its crisis. The young Alfredo thus developed from a modest secretary into a talented winemaker whose fascinating top wines were exported from the small town of Alba as far as Mar del Plata in Argentina and to the USA within a very short time.
In the mid-1950s, he then handed over the helm to his friend and wine expert Beppe Colla, who became famous as the "father of Barolo single-vineyard wines". Under Colla's wing, the characterful cru wines from the Prunotto house began to express the most prestigious growing zones of Piedmont. So even then, the winery was already producing multi-layered Barolo and Barbera d'Alba wines from the renowned Bussia single-vineyard site and the Pian Romualdo vineyards in Monforte d'Alba, where today the entire top class of Piedmont would be happy to be represented.
The separate bottling of the best growing areas of the Langhe led to qualitatively superior results, which made the name Prunotto even better known in the wine world. This level soon caught the interest of the Antinoris and reflected what the noble family had been looking for since the 1970s. In 1994, they officially took over the estate and maintained Colla's high standards, bringing out the elegant character of the local grape varieties.
So today, under the Tuscan leadership of Albiera Antinori, a perfect balance between innovation and tradition prevails in the Prunotto house, with which the vineyards in Monferrato and the picturesque Langhe hills are cultivated. In addition to great Barolo, the magnificent Barbera d'Asti Costamiole and precious Barbaresco vintages from the single vineyard Bric Turot are also produced here. Other classics such as Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto also demonstrate their great class. Finally, the winery's high-ranking repertoire is completed by the aromatic Roero Arneis and Moscato d'Asti, and any wine lover with a particular fondness for Piedmont will undoubtedly be delighted by the name Prunotto.
"Prunotto represents, in the general imagination of many wine lovers, one of the most historic and reliable brands of winemaking in Piedmont." Gambero Rosso
