The grapes for Prunotto's highly appealing Barbaresco come from long-established contract vineyards in Treiso and Neive. They are selectively harvested by hand; the batches are destemmed separately and fermented in stainless steel tanks, with maceration lasting around eight days at controlled temperatures. Malolactic fermentation is completed before winter. The wine is then left to mature for around a year in large oak barrels of varying sizes – a process deliberately designed to enhance balance, texture and the expression of its terroir.

In the glass, an intense garnet colour with a vibrant core. On the nose, complex and refined: red cherry, pomegranate and rosehip, along with dried roses, sweet spices, a hint of cedarwood and cool, stony-mineral notes. On the palate, it is full-bodied yet silky in texture: the juicy, red-fruity core is supported by crystal-clear acidity and tightly woven, ripe tannins; the generous oak remains discreetly in the background, adding a polished texture. The finish is long and precise, with spicy, balsamic undertones. An aristocratic yet approachable Barbaresco that convincingly captures the estate's elegance and the vintage's clarity in the glass – with outstanding potential for long, harmonious development.
