“Vigna dell’Impero 1935” Rosso Val d’Arno di Sopra DOC 2016
The Sangiovese grapes of this wine come from the vineyard of the Empire of His Royal Highness, the Count of Turin, Vittorio Emanuele of Savoy, who had planted it in 1935. The soil is a mixture of clay and gravel, rich in marl and rock, which gives the grapes a spectacular minerality. The temperature variations during the day contribute decisively to the development of fine aromas, which are elegant and complex. The wine, bottled in numbered bottles, is not filtered to preserve all the typical varietal notes and characteristics of Sangiovese. SUPERIORE.DE
"Complex aromas of fresh flowers and cherries follow through to a full body, firm and very silky tannins and a long, long finish. Driven and fine. Drink from 2022." James Suckling

“Giàrborina” Rosso Langhe DOC 2018
This wine is practically a Barolo, except for the fact that it is released a year earlier. Langhe Giàrborina draws its fruit from the top Arborina site in La Morra. Blackberries and plums are surrounded by smoke, tar and black liquorice in the most refined and elegant way. A magnificent, single-varietal Nebbiolo, impeccably balanced, impressively elegant and with a promising future. SUPERIORE.DE
"A pure expression of Nebbiolo (that is made like a Barolo but released one year earlier), the Elio Altare 2018 Langhe Giàrborina gives us a sneak peek of this cool vintage (and its performance in Arborina, La Morra, where this fruit is cultivated). Giàrborina is a richly saturated expression with dark fruit, plenty of blackberry, spice, tar and campfire ash. The wine shows that extra degree of color saturation and fruity concentration that is a hallmark of the Altare family. There is a touch of cedar or sweet oak on the finish." Wine Advocate

Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG 2019 (BIO)
Here comes the debut vintage of Barbara Widmer's Chianti Classico Gran Selezione. It is vinified from the estate's best Sangiovese grapes, all of which come from clay soils at an altitude of about 200 metres. Complex and very aromatic bouquet with notes of red fruits, herbs, leather, liquorice, rounded off by a fine toasted note. Multilayered and radiant on the palate, never opulent or broad, the well-balanced tannins lead it into a deep and refined finish. Brancaia's Gran Selezione combines the unmistakably aristocratic style of a single-varietal Sangiovese with impressive elegance, even at a young age. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright ruby red. Bright ruby red with a gently lightening rim. In the nose at first fine leather-spicy, then after pepper and malt, in the reverberation fine fruit nuances. On the palate radiant, very fruity with fine salty notes in the undertone, shows good pressure, at the same time very elegant and finesse-rich, lingers long." Falstaff
"Made entirely with Sangiovese, this opens with aromas of violet, mocha and underbrush. The full-bodied, balanced palate offers Marasca cherry, cinnamon and tobacco alongside fine-grained tannins and fresh acidity." Wine Enthusiast
"Round and solidly built, providing support for cherry, plum, earth and woodsy underbrush notes. Starts out juicy, turning dry and leaving a tactile impression on the finish." Wine Spectator
"Introducing the first-ever Gran Selezione from Brancaia, and making an impressive debut, the organic 2019 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione is all Sangiovese fermented with spontaneous yeasts and submitted to a careful 18 months of oak aging. Barbara Widmer and her team hit the right chords in terms of balance, clarity of flavors and intensity. There is a crunchy side to the wine that you only ever taste in the most expertly made Sangiovese-based wines. Freshness abounds with floral aromas, tart fruit and cherry." Wine Advocate

“Sergio Zingarelli” Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG 2016
Named after the owner, the house's top wine is the result of many years of work in the vineyard and dates back to 2000, when the winery began replanting many of its own areas with Sangiovese. To this day, Sergio Zingarelli pursues the goal of interpreting his existing terroir as authentically as possible. The result is the highest classification Gran Selezione, which is confirmed every year by the consortium and is only awarded to the best growths of the appellation.
Rich ruby. Concentrated nose of herbs, black cherry, chocolate, earthy notes and oak spice. On the palate a juicy and soft fruit, refined tannins, glides dynamically spicy into a respectable finish. SUPERIORE.DE"Dark, elegantly shining ruby. Opens on the nose on notes of black tea, incense, sage, then a little fumé, ripe cherry, wild berries. On the palate dense, tight, very substantial, opens with many layers and tight tannin, warm and clear fruit, with lots of pressure in the finish." Falstaff
"Vibrant cherry, plum and chocolate flavors are offset by loamy earth, sage and sanguine notes in this savory red, which shows considerable depth and intensity, though it is reserved and closed at this stage." Wine Spectator
"The Rocca delle Macìe 2016 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Sergio Zingarelli is the top-tier wine in this estate's portfolio. A dark and nicely concentrated expression, it shows lots of dark fruit and plum." Wine Advocate
"Lovely sweet fruit with plums and cherries, as well as some walnut and smoke character. Fine, polished tannins. It’s medium-to full-bodied with firm, creamy tannins and a fruity finish. Delicious now, but will improve with age." James Suckling

“Kairós” Rosso Veneto IGT 2019
Kairós is the "little Harlequin" in terms of grape variety composition and is always produced in the years when its big brother is not in production. This is really not a flaw, because with its comparatively attractive price and above all its crazy blend of four white and 12 red grape varieties, it is an incredibly fleshy and juicy wine with an impenetrable, dark appearance. The bouquet is equally charged, almost voltaic, with rich layers of dark fruit that remain surprisingly airy and fresh despite the considerable weight and concentration. This is a wine of extremes, but there is no doubting its mad drinking pleasure and the harmony it offers to the senses. However, you need to be in the right mood, because only then does the eclectic Kairós blend offer an intoxicating and incomparable experience with guaranteed memorable value. SUPERIORE.DE
"There's plenty to savour on the nose, from baked cherries and red berries to graphite and pressed flowers. Medium-bodied with the same broad spectrum of complex flavours, tamed a little at the moment by firm, clean tannins. An interesting blend of 16 indigenous and international grape varieties, 12 red and four white. It's still approachable now, but will develop into something very special after another year or two in the bottle." James Suckling

Chianti Classico Terrazze di San Leolino Gran Selezione DOCG 2019 (BIO)
The years of the COVID-19 pandemic were particularly fruitful for Giovanni Manetti, you could call them an epiphany. He had time to reflect and walked through his vineyards in the Conca d'Oro in Panzano in Chianti, an amphitheatre of postcard-perfect vines, and decided it was time to expand his portfolio. In particular, he was looking for a way to better articulate the concept of Chianti Classico Gran Selezione, which is essentially a perfect vehicle for a grand cru winemaking philosophy. His existing Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Vigna del Sorbo is a flagship for this highest category of appellation, but unfortunately it only represents a single vineyard site. The fruit comes from an area with a higher proportion of schistose galestro for dark fruit, etched mineral notes and pencil shavings. Now this wine can be seen in context.
This is how the Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Terrazze San Leolino was created. It comes from a vineyard in Panzano, not too far from Vigna del Sorbo. However, this small parcel near the San Leolino chapel is characterised by calcareous Alberese, which produces fresh wines with a less dark character. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright, radiant ruby red colour. Very spicy on the nose, with hints of leather and pepper, also reminiscent of wet stone, opens up on ripe dark berries at the back, with a blood-like finish. Spreads out with great freshness and compact tannins, immediately present, balanced and with class, pithy and with firm pressure on the finish." Falstaff
"A pretty red that evokes aromas and flavours of cherries, blackberries, blackcurrants, violets and iron, supported by lively tannins and vibrant acidity that make the wine concentrated and long-lasting." Wine Spectator
"The best fruit from 15-year-old vines was set aside to make this 5,000-bottle first release. The famous Vigna del Sorbo is not far away, but compared to the wine from that site, the Terrazze San Leonlino is sharper, more concentrated and offers a leaner fruit weight. The bouquet tends towards wild roses and Mediterranean herbs, which gives the flavours more vertical pressure. The tannins are silky and polished." Wine Advocate
"Impressive flavours of blackberries and peppers with a hint of toffee. Full-bodied, round, soft and juicy." James Suckling
"The brand new Terrazze San Leolino Gran Selezione from Fontodi is a real eye-catcher. San Leolino was recognised as a cru site 200 years ago. The recently renovated terraces are located at an altitude of 450 metres in Panzano, but unlike Fontodi's Vigna del Sorbo, which is characterised by Galestro, the soil here consists of calcareous Alberese. Although it has only recently been bottled, it already shows its earthy, stony and mineral flavours. On the palate, it is elegant and profound, with decisive flavours of roses, red cherries and long, enveloping tannins that end with a tangy salinity. It is still very closed, but promising." Decanter
"From a beautiful project in biological management near the Conca d’oro of Panzano, soil characterized by the presence of trees. Notes of pomegranate on the nose, rosehip and wild sage. The palate is taut-sapid, with fruity-floral return and intense drinkability." Luca Gardini

“Contrada Zottorinoto” Rosso Riserva Etna DOC 2015
Just around 2,000 bottles of this noble Riserva are filled each year. With an abundance of aromas of black berries, balsamic nuances and spices as well as the expansive taste - full and clear - this great wine brings together finesse, elegance and softness in an excellent way. SUPERIORE.DE
"Cottanera's 2015 Etna Rosso Riserva Zottorinoto offers a beautiful level of purity and sharpness, with plenty of the electric energy and tightness you should expect of a great wine from Etna. This vintage offers some extra ripeness with fruity tones that veer toward plum and black cherry. But those fruit tones are reigned back by the defined mineral backbone of the wine that cedes to campfire ash and scorched earth. The 2015 fruit is a bit looser and thicker altogether. This wine should come together beautifully with a few more years of bottle aging. Only 1,900 bottles were made." Wine Advocate

“Il Grigio” Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG 2019 · MAGNUM in OWC
Dark, bright ruby with garnet colour. Pure power of aromas, dense and complex with notes of black cherries, smoked ham, savoury herbs, tobacco, liquorice and many other nuances. Equally fascinating on the palate, firm tannins, impressive complexity and depth with noticeable potential for ageing. SUPERIORE.DE
"The nose opens with savory notes of tar, topsoil and balsamic vinegar before a bracingly fresh burst of wild fennel and mint. Fresh, crisp red fruit on the palate has a chocolaty undertone with more tar and crushed rock for a mineral edge, emphasized by tightly coiled tannins." Wine Enthusiast
"Discreet flavours of undergrowth and damp earth mingle with tea, tobacco and thyme. The wine is round and flattering and envelops the palate. As it expands, it reveals its power. The dry tannins at the edges should soften with time, but it is still immediately inviting." Decanter
"It is spicy and racy with dark cherries, redcurrants, savoury herbs, walnuts and sandalwood. Medium to full-bodied with ripe, powdery tannins, juicy acidity and a mineral backbone on the palate. Bright and fruity on the finish." James Suckling
"A supple red with a firm grip wrapped around dark flavours of black cherry, blueberry and earth. Lively, with a slight burr to the chalky tannins on the ferrous finish." Wine Spectator
"The San Felice 2019 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Il Grigio is characterised by its velvety richness and expressive flavour profile. The wine offers a measured intensity with bright purple and black fruits, a good sense of energy and dynamism and a certain lingering spiciness on the finish. It is rich but not heavy." Wine Advocate
"Cranberry in the mouth, nuances of pepper leaves and liquorice. The mouthfeel is savoury, sour cherry comeback." Luca Gardini

“Rivarossa” Rosso Venezia Giulia IGT 2018 · MAGNUM in OWC
Deep ruby red. Bright, fresh and savoury aromas and flavours of blueberries, flint, coffee and fresh herbs. Long and clean with soft tannins and very good clarity on the bright end. A beautiful, very refined wine with early appeal but also velvet paws creeping concentration and complexity. SUPERIORE.DE
"A delicate blend of smoky sage, wild blueberries, cracked chalk and dried violets makes the 2018 Rivarossa a total pleasure to take in. This is silky and cool-toned with a balanced inner sweetness that offsets its tart wild berry fruits as peppery herbal tones amass toward the close. The Rivarossa tapers off structured with edgy tannins that pinch at the cheeks as a note of black licorice lingers on and on. A lot is going on beneath the surface here, but it will be several years before the 2018 comes entirely into focus." Vinous

Barolo Chinato · in gift box
From the beginning, Pio Cesare produced limited quantities of Barolo Chinato and Vermouth, precisely according to a family recipe handed down by his grandfather. In the early 1950s, however, production was discontinued as tastes and preferences changed.
In recent years, it has been noted that Piedmont lovers are again increasingly craving traditional character, strong personality and great individuality in aromatic wines and in wine-based aperitifs. As a result, the decision was made to produce small quantities of Barolo Chinato and Vermouth again - again strictly according to a secret family recipe that was kept under lock and key for many years under the careful supervision of the grandmother, granddaughter of the founder.
An infusion of Chinchona (China Calissaja and Succirubra bark) is macerated for 21 days in a small amount of classic Barolo. A mixture of aromatic herbs such as gentian root, rhubarb, cardamom seeds, sweet and bitter orange, cinnamon and other spices is then added, which together make up the special family recipe. After a few weeks of ageing, a certain amount of classic Barolo is then added. SUPERIORE.DE
"Only 1,000 bottles per year are released of the Pio Cesare NV Barolo Chinato, a fortified digestif that pours from the bottle with a dark garnet color and faint hints of copper and amber. This bottle takes you on a terrific journey into a favorite local tradition. Made with a base of Barolo wine, the nose offers layers of dried cherry and fruit, but perhaps the biggest aromatic influence here are those dusty mineral notes that subtract from the natural sweetness of the wine. That 16% alcohol content also serves to align your palate away from the fruit. Instead, you get herb, dried ginger and camphor ash." Wine Advocate

"New Gran Selezione from the Manetti family, the vineyards are located below the Pieve di San Leolino above the Conca d'Oro of Panzano: Seductive forest berry nose, topped with herbal and chocolate notes; full of melting and juiciness, the acidity lively, the tannins powdery, long finish on beautiful spicy and forest berry notes." Vinum
"Brilliant dark ruby red colour. Hearty on the nose, fine black tea notes, ripe cherry fruit, with some dark chocolate, hazelnut, rich spice on the finish, earthy. Juicy on the palate, with tightly woven, salty tannins, very tightly woven, shows beautiful freshness and elegance despite its 15%, long, pure, as if from a block." Falstaff
"The Fontodi 2020 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Terrazze San Leonlino is a new addition to this exciting portfolio, now in its second vintage. With fruit from the upper part of the Conca d'Oro of Panzano, this wine shows a more robust and powerful personality with a strong 15% alcohol content. The bouquet is rich with cherry liqueur, blackberry kirsch and dried plum. There is more fruit weight here and you taste the ripeness in the grape skins. The wine has an almost carbonic quality that reminds me of cherry cola, and it ends on a sweet note with soft tannins. Only 5,000 bottles were made." Wine Advocate
"Aromas of ripe cherries, bark, wet earth, and spice follow through to a full body with chewy and velvety tannins that are buttressed with some juicy acidity that gives complexity and focus to the wine." James Suckling
"Deep in color, this sumptuous red shows both power and finesse, packed with blackberry, black currant, violet, iron and spice flavors. Expressive and beautifully balanced, yet poised for a long evolution thanks to its solid structure. Shows superb refinement, ending with a long aftertaste." Wine Spectator

"Savory in the glass, the 2020 Rosso del Gnemiz lifts up with dusty florals and earth tones before giving way to dried black cherries. “Didacus” Cabernet Franc Sicilia Menfi DOC 2018
This 100% Cabernet Franc comes from vines over 20 years old, planted by Diego Planeta, and is simply stunning, delicious and unforgettable. Outstanding aromas of sensual dark fruits, some leather and tobacco. Explosive, penetrating and powerful on the palate, but at the same time seamless and silky smooth. The tannin management is excellent. This is a wine to keep in the cellar - provided you have a certain amount of self-control. SUPERIORE.DE
"Dark ruby with purple colour. Gentle and inviting on the nose, cassis, elderberries, cold smoke, precious wood, stony tones on the finish. Tightly meshed on the palate, polished, with clearly defined fruit, comes in many layers, black berries on the final, with rich pressure in the aftertaste, outstanding." Falstaff
"I like the currant and fresh and dried herb character here. It’s medium-bodied with bright fruit and a chewy, juicy finish. Needs a couple of years to soften but very varietal." James Suckling
"The 2018 Cabernet Franc Didacus is very seductive, with a peppery bloom of spices and flowers that fade into soaked plums and cloves. It is silky smooth and more elegant than previous vintages, with tart raspberry and sour cherry flavours accompanied by earthy tones and a hint of citrus. The 2018 is powerful and colourful, yet its tannins are chalky and sweet, creating a structured yet inviting final. This is an incredibly beautiful and deeply satisfying interpretation of Didacus Cabernet Franc." Vinous

“Didacus” Cabernet Franc Sicilia Menfi DOC 2017
The second vintage of the red counterpart to Didacus Chardonnay impressively reflects the Planeta family's vision: elegance and tradition, family and future.
"The 2017 Cabernet Franc Didacus is dark, deep and intense, with vaulted blue flowers giving way to an abundance of redcurrant, plum and liquorice. It is silky with a dense wave of mineral black fruit supported by a core of motivating acidity that lifts the expression beautifully. Leaving behind tart wild berries and a hint of mocha on a layer of sweet tannins, it comes across as structured but also remarkably fresh. The heat of the vintage pushed up the volume of the 2017 Cabernet Franc Didacus, and while more classic vintages will likely overtake it in the cellar over time, the balance here is beautiful." Vinous
"Intense aromas of pepper on the nose - from red bell to cracked black pepper - join raw meat with macerated cherries and crushed stones. The palate has more cherries and strawberries with roasted peppers and unmistakeably Sicilian tannins." Wine Enthusiast
"An elegant red, medium- to full-bodied and tightly meshed, with a sense of restraint to the integration of sculpted tannins, revealing aromas and flavors of cassis, black tea leaf, fig cake and iron. Long and fresh, expanding on the creamy palate and showing good potential for the cellar." Wine Spectator

Great wine that boasts enormous depth and intensity. Velvety and rich, the aromas are reminiscent of dried berries, toasted oak and fine chocolate, with breathtaking power and fullness on the palate, the pure tension and beauty of Refosco. SUPERIORE.DE
"Deep dark opaque garnet purple. Shows rich and precise notes of wild berries, blackberries, elderberries, light mint and precious wood on the nose, complex. Polished and tightly meshed on the palate, spreads out in a lush and decisive way, cool fruit with precise progression, supported by excellent use of wood, lingers long." Falstaff
"This is really nicely done, showing black fruit, such as blackberry, as well as dark chocolate and spice. It’s medium-to full-bodied with firm tannins and a flavorful finish. Some smoky oak at the end." James Suckling
"The 2016 Refosco Vigna Dominin is airy and dusty in character, as peppery florals and hints of licorice give way to dried black cherries. Its silky textures usher in a potent mix of red and black fruit with savory penetrating spice and violet-tinged florals that form toward the close. It leaves the palate with a coating of sweet tannins and lingering minerals, as hints of spiced tangerine and pomegranate fade. This is a powerful effort with the depth to balance. I’m looking forward to retasting it with a few years of maturity." Vinous

“Amore e Magia” Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2017
The grapes for Le Ripi's top Brunello come from a 4 ha vineyard near Castelnuovo dell'Abate on the east side of Montalcino, not far from the Lupi e Sirene vineyard. Amore e Magia inspires first of all by the beauty in the glass: a deep ruby with violet, fuchsia accents. On the nose, a very clear, concise bouquet with a disarming openness that immediately captivates. We detect candied fruits, raspberries, roasted nuts and Christmas spices, then notes of leather. The first impression on the palate is rather silky and floral, the fine saltiness and the wonderfully integrated acidity provide vital freshness and the solidly woven tannin builds up energetically and flanks every sip until the dramatic, extremely multilayered final. SUPERIORE.DE
"Still marked by clear toasty notes with ripe plums and dark cherries, spicy cedar and liquorice notes in the background. On the palate with polished richness, stylish and wonderfully melting, seems a bit modern in style but nicely balanced and lively, the tannin is quite polished and still a bit rough-gripped, still needs to complete itself." Weinwisser
"Bright ruby garnet with a rich core. Very fragrant and inviting nose, of ripe, fleshy plums, some pickled cherries, plus liquorice in the background. Round and balanced on the palate, opens with beautiful forest fruit, grippy, dense tannin, fine melting in between, firm pressure in the final." Falstaff
"The bouquet on the 2017 Brunello di Montalcino Amore e Magia is seriously impressive. A beguiling mix of dusty violets, exotic spices, cedar, clove and black cherries wafts up and holds my attention firm. The textures are soothingly plush yet lifted, featuring a sweet and sour display of tart wild berries contrasted by minerals, minty herbs and hints of candied citrus. The tannins arrive late, as this finishes structured and classically dry with nuances of blood orange and wild strawberries. The 2017 Amore e Magia has taken the warmth of the vintage in stride to deliver a Brunello packed full of balanced pleasures." Vinous
"The Podere le Ripi 2017 Brunello di Montalcino Amore e Magia is emerging as this estate's top-shelf wine, even though it started its life as a Rosso di Montalcino some years ago. It sports a pretty dark ruby color with a nicely concentrated appearance. The bouquet is extremely elegant and finely tuned with sweet cherry, wild rose, lavender bud, candied orange and iron ore. The effect is graceful and delicate, with tart background notes of currant and forest fruit. The tannins are tight and still nervous, and I suggest giving this wine more time in bottle." “Salco” Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG 2016 (BIO) MAGNUM in OWC
Racy and seductive Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. Very intense bouquet of fruit, tobacco, herbs and toasted notes. Voluminous and harmoniously round on the palate, silky-sweet tannins and excellent length. SUPERIORE.DE
"Dark luminous garnet red with an impenetrable core. Opens in the bouquet on boiled down blackberry, plum roast, also some cinnamon, wrapped in delicate mocha and dried tangerines. Stretches out a comforting dress, powerfully rich in tannin, shows tension in attack and progression, finishes slightly salty with lovely persistence." Falstaff
"A plummy nose, accented by toasted spice and licorice. Full-bodied with fine, velvety tannins. Well structured with lots of flavor that veers into the, bitter, Campari-like zone right at the end." James Suckling
"Darkly floral and alluring, the 2016 Nobile di Montepulciano Salco slowly blossoms in the glass with a display of ripe plums, clove, dried flowers and sweet tobacco. Its creamy textures are complemented by an elegant wave of ripe red and black fruits that flesh out across the palate, leaving saline-minerals and a coating of fine tannin in their wake. This tapers off long and lightly structured, leaving notes of blackberry and spice to linger long. The 2016 Salco is a beauty, yet it could use another year or two of cellaring to integrate its oak." Vinous
"Ripe plum, baking spice, menthol and new leather are just some of the aromas you'll find on this fantastic Sangiovese. On the elegantly structured, delicious palate, notes of ground pepper and licorice accent a core of juicy black cherry and crushed raspberry set against a backbone of taut, refined tannins. Fresh acidity keeps it nicely balanced." Wine Enthusiast
"This features a core of ripe, sweet plum, blackberry and spice flavors, accented by earth, wild herbs and tobacco. Though dense and muscular, there's also a beam of vibrant acidity that keeps this focused and fresh." Wine Spectator

“Vigna Rachtl” Sauvignon Bianco Riserva Alto Adige DOC 2019
Sauvignon Bianco Rachtl comes from a –of just 0.4 ha. It gets its fine – and –nose from the porphyry soils near Unteraicha in the municipality of Völs. Very subtle on the palate with a fine –interplay, fresh fruit and a long-lasting finish. If you can call one of the just about 2,000 bottles of this vintage your own, you can consider yourself lucky! SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright, light straw yellow. Opens with emphatic smoky notes, flint, some dill, red currant in the background. Shows great play on the palate, very well elaborated fruit, fine sweet melting, good tension, very long finish." Falstaff
"The Tiefenbrunner 2019 Alto Adige Sauvignon Blanc Riserva Rachtl reveals mid–weight intensity with orange zest, almond paste, honey and hints of spicy saffron. The wine glides smoothly over the palate with plush richness that is capped off by fresh acidity. This is a bigger style of Sauvignon Blanc, with some modest age on it, that opens the door to a wide range of pairing, such as scallops in butter sauce or stuffed clams. Winemaking sees a combination of tonneaux and stainless steel, and only 2,000 bottles were released." Wine Advocate

Limitation of 3 articles per customer“Orma” Toscana Rosso IGT 2020
Deep ruby red, intense, fresh aroma of dark fruit underpinned with delicate toasted aromas. Complex and full-bodied on the palate, with balsamic notes, perfectly integrated tannins and a finely balanced fruity-spicy finish. An intense wine that also doesn't want to be a lightweight and that plays off its power perfectly. SUPERIORE.DE
"The Orma 2020 from the Moretti Cuseri family is half Merlot with 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Cabernet Franc. As usual, the Orma brings a fair amount of weight with it at 15% by volume, resulting in a massive, dark colour. Rich in smell and less liqueur-like than usual, the Orma 2020 has more freshness and also the fruit aromas seem clearer, underpinned with fresh herbs, pithy and berry-cherry oriented. Initially round and juicy-melting on the tongue, the powerful tannins then still seem a little raw, with glassy-steely structure." Weinwisser
"Bright ruby with a slight violet shimmer. Intense nose with notes of cloves, some mint, fine blackberry, slightly earthy components in the background. Spreads out great on the palate, has lots of fine-meshed, hearty tannin, nice juiciness, crisp fruit, long final." Falstaff
"The Orma 2020 is richly concentrated and midnight black in colour. It shows considerable intensity in terms of its inky aromas of wild plums, blackberry jam, dark spices and smoked tobacco. The wine coats the palate strongly and adds important textural richness. Best served with a wine of this depth and size with a classic bistecca alla fiorentina with T-bone." Wine Advocate
"Fragrances delicately, then increasingly beguiling of blueberries, maquis, with fine spice; the attack multi-faceted, the tannins youthful, though perfectly contoured, of great character and length to an opulent wild berry-pepper final." Vinum
"Fragrant and expressive on the nose, the floral and herbal scents mingle on the nose and transport you straight to Tuscany. Sublime and beautiful, a sensationally vibrant, lively, pure and pristine wine. The texture of the wine is so meticulous that the fruit flavours and mineral aspects have a joyful quality - a purity and precision. Detailed and refined. Impressive with fleshy but well-integrated tannins and a drive through to a long, fresh finish. Complexity and structure, very well balanced. A top choice and a great value!" Decanter
"Tobacco, sage and rosemary come through well, along with redcurrant and cassis. Full-bodied but polished, with a solid and dense mid-palate. It's tight on the finish at the moment, but it will open up nicely." James Suckling

“Habemus Etichetta Bianca” Rosso Lazio IGT 2020
The classic Habemus with its white label is probably the most famous wine of the exceptional Roman winemaker Emanuele Pangrazi. This may not only be due to its extreme quality, but also to the relatively large production of 9,000 bottles per vintage for the boutique winery, which should ensure a certain distribution at least in international connoisseur circles. Habemus is one of the 100 best wines in Italy every year and, with its style inspired by the great wines of the Rhone, at least casts a small but very bright light on the wine region of Lazio, which is otherwise not particularly conspicuous in terms of exceptional wines.
Intense, almost impenetrable ruby red. In the expansive bouquet aromas of black cherries, blackberries, spices, smoke, tobacco, lavender and crushed stones. The palate is full-bodied and complex with remarkable concentration and depth. Habemus is beautifully balanced with a velvety texture and a wonderful sense of freshness that lasts until the long, expansive finish full of dark fruits and lavender notes. SUPERIORE.DE

Limitation of 6 articles per customer“Poggetto di Sopra” Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG 2019 (BIO)
A few years ago, six leading DOCG wineries joined forces to form the "nobile alliance": Salcheto, Poliziano, La Braccesca, Dei, Boscarelli and Avignonesi. They pursue the ambitious goal of bringing Montepulciano's terroir to perfection in the bottle. Leading this project are Ashleigh Seymour and Matteo Giustiniani, the winemakers of Avignonesi. They not only monitor the quality of the Sangiovese grapes, which all grow in the Poggetto di Sopra vineyard, but are also responsible for the vinification in the cellar.
Poggetto di Sopra comes from a single plot of vines planted in 1978. The alkaline clay soil of the single vineyard Poggetto di Sopra is crossed by a vein of blue sodium clay. It is rich in silt, limestone and prehistoric marine sediments. All of this creates a tension in the wine that is as delicate as it is intense.
Sparkling ruby with garnet reflections. Impressive aromas of blueberry, cherry, clove and thyme on the nose. Dense and multi-layered on the palate, yet powerfully forward, with a clear focus on ripe fruit, minerality and with a tightly woven, soft tannin like velvet and silk. This archetype of an energetic Nobile spans a wide arc, revealing its noble origins with every sip. Beautiful potential. SUPERIORE.DE
"Subtle roasted spices are chiselled to the pomegranate and grapefruit notes with some savory berries, sage and crushed stones. The taut and transparent center palate is followed by a long and minerally ethereal finish. Beguilingly light in form, but intense with flavors. “Pinot” finesse here." James Suckling
