The porphyry-rich steep slopes on the Ritten above Bolzano offer first-class conditions for producing a Sauvignon Bianco with unique fruit, minerality, elegance and depth. "Subtle aromas of grass and citrus with a hint of roasted nuts; racy and crisp with a finish of candied lemon." Decanter
"Bright, intense straw yellow colour. Initially restrained on the nose, with mineral and spicy notes, as well as subtle fruit and floral aromas. Hints of tropical fruit, but above all crisp and powerful on the palate with very well-integrated acidity and an elegant final." Falstaff
"Brilliant deep straw. Unmistakable old-school Italian Sauvignon Blanc, gooseberry and kiwi. Minerally, salty hints, too, while the oak is hardly discernible. Much more distinctive and characterful on the palate, with gooseberry fruit and lemon peel. Refreshing and elegant, medium weight. Will disappoint no one." Jancis Robinson
"The Cantina Produttori Bolzano 2020 Alto Adige Sauvignon Riserva Greel is a bright wine with flavours of green papaya, guava, tomato leaf and passion fruit. This wine is bright and fragrant. This oak barrel-fermented white wine is lean and tangy, with plenty of lingering freshness. Green apple and crushed stone give it personality." Wine Advocate
"This is a flavourful Sauvignon with fragrant aromas of white and blackcurrant, tomato leaf and guava. Undertones of salted caramel and liquorice. Long, layered and full-bodied, with bright acidity and salty freshness to wake you up." James Suckling

“Pergolaia” Rosso Toscana IGT 2019 (BIO)
Pergolaia is mainly Sangiovese with smaller portions of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The wine opens with a medium-bodied attack and a bright bouquet characterised by notes of cherry, wild plum, ploughed earth and pressed blue flowers. Very Mediterranean in style and with a strong personality, this red coats the palate with delicate, silky intensity. SUPERIORE.DE
"Medium ruby red with a slightly lightening rim. In the nose restrained at the beginning, then tones of ripe cherry, wild strawberry and currant, in the aftertaste hints of violets, seems slightly icy. Elegant on the palate with supple tannin, multi-layered and with a long and exciting finish." Falstaff
"Sangiovese takes the lead in this blend with Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, giving it nerve and deep cherry flavours, while the French additions absorb the touch of oak. The result is velvety, finely textured and long. You can drink this now and for up to six years while you wait for the 'grand vin' 2019 to come round. Sheer class and with bags of Italian flair." Jancis Robinson
"A lush, opulent red, featuring blackberry, blueberry, plum, violet and black pepper flavors. Dense, with well-wrought tannins that add support and bolster the lingering finish." Wine Spectator
"Black olives, iodine, salted plums and blackberries here. It’s medium-bodied with firm, creamy tannins. Lovely creaminess, with fresh, savory and saline character." James Suckling
"The bouquet opens to red and purple fruits with wild plum, dried cherry, potting soil and pressed rose. Those floral tones and mild herbal signatures are what give this wine its very Mediterranean, easy-drinking personality." Wine Advocate

Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG 2020
Castello di Monsanto's Chianti Classico Riserva is a fabulous wine that punches well above its weight. Dark cherry, plum, liquorice, spice, leather, lavender and tobacco run through this wonderfully nuanced and vibrant Riserva. It is surprisingly expressive and open even at a young age and will continue to drink well for over 15 years. Sweet floral notes extend the finish of this medium-bodied, graceful and well-structured wine. Interesting Storage potential! SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright ruby red colour. Opens with inviting, dense cherry fruit, underpinned by juniper, clove and a subtle medicinal note. Concentrated and precise fruit core on the palate, elegant tannin and supporting acidity, juicy and persistent." Falstaff
"Concentrated mid ruby. Balsamic, cherry and crushed-raspberry nose with a hint of eucalyptus. Succulent fruit palate with sandpapery tannins. Fresh, elegant and long. Great balance and style in this not easy-to-handle vintage." Jancis Robinson
"A dense red wine with well-defined aromas and flavours of black cherries and blackberries, underpinned by graphite, eucalyptus and cumin. Balanced, though still tightly wound, with a lingering fruity, spicy and mineral finish." Wine Spectator

Medium to full-bodied with super-polished tannins and juicy acidity. Delicious fruit character with a firm mineral backbone. Complete and concentrated." James Suckling
"Bing cherry and blood orange, floral earth, graphite and then wild herbs - especially sage - appear on the nose, before a hint of vanilla and cedar. The palate is juicy and fresh, with vanilla, chocolate and cherry, while herbs reappear on the back palate. A rare example of a wine with great refinement that is also an undeniable crowd favourite." Wine Enthusiast
"Wild strawberries, then nuances of white pepper and eucalyptus. It is powerful on the palate, ending with a fruity-balsamic return, long flavour." Luca Gardini

The steep porphyry slopes at an altitude of up to 650 metres on the Ritten above Bolzano offer ideal conditions for vinifying this powerful yet elegant Chardonnay with outstanding balance, well-integrated acidity and excellent ageing potential. Straw yellow in colour with greenish inclusions. Pure exotic flavours of pineapple, mango and white peach on the nose, underpinned by a delicate vanilla note. A great Chardonnay from South Tyrol! SUPERIORE.DE
"Delicate green apple and alpine flowers with a pronounced lemon peel character; juicy and succulent with a crisp finish." Decanter
"Yellow with delicate greenish hues. Pleasant floral notes and hints of white fruit flesh on the nose. In the mouth, beautiful, refreshing acidity and excellent suppleness with a citrus finish." Falstaff
"Brilliant straw yellow. Lemon, green apple and bread crust on the nose. With aeration, the oak comes out more clearly. Lemon, melon and green-apple palate tied in by subtle, creamy oak but without making the whole heavy. Long, refreshing and refined." Jancis Robinson
"The Cantina Produttori Bolzano 2020 Alto Adige Chardonnay Riserva Stegher shows a soft, medium-bodied texture with flavours of orchard fruit, honey, pie crust and pasty cream. This vintage also shows good freshness, with fruit harvested from very steep vineyards in the hills near Bolzano at 650 metres above sea level." Wine Advocate
"An attractive Chardonnay that exudes apple crumble, pastry, mango and custard on the nose. It's full-bodied and buttery, with plenty of pastry and pie crust character on the long, flavourful finish. Drink or keep." James Suckling

“Selezione Antonio Castagnedi” Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG 2019
Amarone Selezione Antonio Castagnedi delivers high quality for its price every year: bright ruby red with sparkling reflections. A variety of aromas of violets, graphite, black cherries and minerals and a lively, structured, down-to-earth, very present style. Its richness and depth make it the perfect accompaniment to winter cuisine. SUPERIORE.DE
"Dark, bright, rich ruby red colour. Very fragrant bouquet on the nose, spicy, cinnamon, blood orange, fresh peach, raspberries. Spicy flavours and clear fruit on the palate, balanced, with a juicy tannin finish and beautiful length." Falstaff
"If you've ever had the opportunity to stand in old hand-fired brick drying sheds, three storeys high, filled with hot steam, leaves tied in bundles, stacked up and up and up, you'll know what this wine smells like. It is an extraordinary odour. It smells of steam-soaked red clay bricks, of tobacco leaves, green, yellow, gold, copper-coloured, brown and of earth, spices, dust and oven smoke. It is the smell of a good Amarone. And this one carries its layers of tobacco between layers of dried plums, dried cherries, crushed rosehips, bitter oranges and nutmeg. It is dry, elegant, refined. It is an extraordinary beauty." Jancis Robinson
"Very dense on the nose, so it should be swirled well to emphasise the bright red fruits such as raspberries and red cherries, which are immediately apparent on the palate. Full-bodied and structured, with a youthful feel created by the backbone of fresh tannins. It can be drunk at the dinner table now, but it is made to last and will lie in the cellar for a few more years." James Suckling
"The 2019 Amarone della Valpolicella Antonio Castagnedi is a dark, seductive wine with a blend of black cherries and crushed purple candies that fade into a hint of cocoa. The wine is silky smooth, almost creamy, yet full-bodied, with ripe red fruit contrasted by a hint of bitter balsamic spice. It finishes with youthful tension, leaving a layer of grippy tannins that are nicely balanced by a hint of residual acidity. The 2019 has a wonderful balance that makes it an excellent choice for the dinner table, but will also aid its ageing. It also has only 15% alcohol. Beautiful." Vinous

“Carminium” Carménère Colli Berici DOC 2019
The clay content in the forest soils of this incredible, almost untouched area around Oratorio di San Lorenzo gives the wine a unique note. Rich red with blue-violet reflections. Intense on the nose with notes of medicinal herbs, ripe red berries, blood orange, pepper and spices. On the palate then very precise and clear with dark fruits, a delicious spiciness and tannins that are still firm when young. Already seductive today and then elegant and silky with increasing bottle maturity. SUPERIORE.DE
pepnose. Juicy fruit channeled through a dense network of dry, firm, super-spicy tannins. A beautiful lift of dried herbs (sage, rosemary, lavender and oregano) and, a bit like their Cabernet, this lovely savoury-sweet element that is like oven-roasted cherry tomatoes with roasted vine and white pepper. Very gouleyant." Jancis Robinson
"Dark ruby red with a violet core. Scents of thyme and tarragon, black pepper on the nose, paired with blackcurrant and orange zest. On the palate juicy, dense and compact, well-integrated tannins, goes with vigour into the long finish." Falstaff
"The 2019 Carménère Carminium is remarkably floral and fresh, exuding notes of redcurrant, rosemary and ground ginger reminiscent of pepper. It is a model of purity with bright acidity lifting the mineral red fruits while savoury spices swirl through the nose. The 2019 finishes classically dry and lightly textured, leaving tart raspberry notes on the finish. This is an incredibly beautiful vintage for Carminium." Vinous
"It has a complex nose of dried thyme, tobacco, sage, tar and blackberries. Also peppercorns and cloves. It is medium-bodied, with firm tannins. Finely integrated and concentrated, with a firm finish. Better after 2024." James Suckling

“Pelago” Rosso Marche IGT 2019
The rich garnet-red Pelago in Riserva quality made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Montepulciano and small amounts of Merlot has a captivating aroma of raspberries, strawberry jam, cloves, tobacco and mocha. On the palate, it reveals a noble spiciness and a hearty, juicy and very long flavour. Pelago 2019 should turn out to be a real charmer after some ageing. SUPERIORE.DE
"Light ruby red colour with a garnet-red shimmer. Rum pot, rich black cherry and ripe plums on the nose, then slightly spicy. Sweet, juicy and drinky on the palate, with well-integrated tannins and a long final." Falstaff
"Sumptuous fruit showcasing the blue-black fruit, napeta spiciness and ink dust of ripe Cabernet, the velvet red plum on Montepulciano. There's a wisp of cigar smoke through long, fine-grained, gently stemmy tannins. A touch of freshly foraged forest mushroom, a brush of pine needle, and then the finish is soaked deep and lush and succulently red with Montepulciano fruit. Modern and international but it's classy and the Marche Montepulciano shines through." Jancis Robinson

"Dark ruby red with orange-coloured reflections. Cherry liqueur with a hint of dark chocolate. Lush, deep cherry on the palate with a hint of Mon Chéri and a bite of firm but polished tannins and overall dramatically more balanced than the pure Classico." Jancis Robinson
"Quite a vegetal nose with dried berries underneath. Fruitier on the palate, with a full body and fine, slightly firm tannins that accompany the fruit through the long finish. The vegetal note persists, but by the end it becomes an element of complexity rather than a distraction." James Suckling

“Gauggiole” Rosso di Montalcino DOC 2020
Gauggiole comes from a single vineyard in the north-east of the Castiglion del Bosco estate and is vinified exclusively in concrete barrels. Bright, lively red. On the nose, fresh red berry fruits with delicate herbal notes. Well structured in the mouth with cool red fruit flavours like cherry, floral nuances of violet and peppery notes on the finish. Well balanced on the palate with fine tannins and good ageing potential. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright ruby red. Beautifully deep nose with fantastic focus. Juicy fruit, supple and elegant but with a little more concentration than L'America and rich, enveloping tannins." Jancis Robinson
"The Rosso di Montalcino Gauggiole 2020 is a pretty and discreet expression with a bouquet of wild strawberries and peppery herbs. It is silky and has a cool character, while red berries and mineral tones slowly unfold. The finish is classically dry with an acidic citrus note that adds nicely to the expression. The Gauggiole comes from a single vineyard in the north-east of the Castiglion del Bosco estate. It is aged in concrete barrels." Vinous
"Here is a new surprise from Castiglion del Bosco. The 2020 Rosso di Montalcino Gauggiole is made from a selection of fruit from a 20-hectare vineyard with rich clay soils and is quite soft and silky from the start. The wine offers a delicate ensemble of wild berries, cherries, blue flowers and white pepper. Pretty background tones of crushed limestone and iron ore give the wine a sense of place. All in all, this is an elegant expression that highlights the true personality of young Sangiovese." Wine Advocate
"Notes of redcurrants, flowers and undergrowth on the nose; compact in the mouth, in perfect harmony between structure and acidity, smooth finish on notes of wild berries and spices. Excellent with pasta and light meat dishes." Vinum

Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2019
Beautiful and very well-balanced red wine from the three main historical areas of Montalcino, which have different geoclimatic characteristics due to their different slopes and altitudes, thus ensuring a unique balance between freshness and structure, body and elegance. Ruby red in colour with garnet hues, it opens immediately with a rich, complex nose. Initially dark cherry, chinotto orange and violet. It then opens up to broader, more complex notes of blueberry, vanilla, tobacco, cinnamon and chocolate with a subtle menthol finish. The primary fruit is surrounded by spice, grilled herbs and floral earth; nice length. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright ruby red colour. Cherry and tomato leaf on the nose, then a fine leather flavour. Good freshness and juicy fruit on the palate, shows firm body and pressure, accessible, delicately bitter on the final." Falstaff
"Deep ruby red colour. Compact and dense on the nose with notes of sweet raspberries and fresh mint. Lots of sweet raspberry fruit on the palate with a tangy acid nerve that runs through the fullness of the fruit. Firm but ripe and fine-grained tannins. A fairly rich wine, but one that will probably age well." Jancis Robinson
"The 2019 Brunello di Montalcino exudes hints of wild berries, violet pastille and sweet smoke. This is a seductive effort with juicy acidity and vibrant red and blue fruits swirling throughout. Autumnal spices and dark chocolate slowly saturate towards the finish. The 2019 finishes long yet remarkably fresh with a hint of liquorice and slightly grippy tannins. The 2019 aims to please and will provide early satisfaction after a short stay in the cellar while the single-vineyard wines slowly mature." Vinous
"The Brunello from the Val di Suga vineyard is made up of equal parts from the Vigna del Lago vineyard in the north-east, Poggio al Granchio in the south-east and Vigna Spuntali in the south-west of Montalcino. The bright ruby red colour and youthful freshness are well preserved. Concentrated aromas of red cherry with a hint of pepper fade into deep violet and sweet earth. The medium-bodied palate is appealing and pure, offering layers of lush red berry and plump persimmon flavours underscored by juicy acidity. The sandy textured tannins are supple and yielding. Hard to resist." Decanter
"This vibrant red is sleek and harmonious, with strawberry, cherry and currant fruit accented by mineral and wild herb notes. Dusty tannins lend support and texture on the finish. Excellent length." Wine Spectator

Barbaresco Serraboella DOCG 2018
Medium-bodied ruby red, fine rose bouquet with hints of tea and dried herbs. Beautiful black cherry aroma with well-integrated wood notes makes it a balanced and at no point intrusive wine. The 2016 climate also gave this Nebbiolo an impressive precision and straightness. SUPERIORE.DE
"Medium red; some fruit, tobacco; powerful, juicy, good tartness, very pleasant." Merum
"Developed-looking mid ruby with bricky rim. Brooding, complex, deep nose with a hint of Moroccan leather. Generous but not yet fully open fruit, stitched together by gorgeous chewy tannins and ripe acidity. Good medium-term potential." Jancis Robinson

“Contrada Feudo di Mezzo” Rosso Etna DOC 2017
Beautiful single vineyard Nerello from the north side of Etna. Cherry and small wild strawberry on the nose. Very clearly accentuated and fresh taste, acidity and tannin in perfect harmony and well integrated. Long finish with an impressive elegance and freshness. SUPERIORE.DE
"Elegant bright ruby red. Fine-smelling, red berry nose, with a hint of sea salt, cold smoke, reverberating iron and slightly earthy. The palate is dense and tight, showing powerful, tight tannin, savoury, stretching long across the tongue, earthy finish." Falstaff
"Mid ruby with orange tinges. Firm red-fruit nose with just a hint of oak. A core of red fruit framed in chewy tannins. Very long, while the firm structure needs a little more time, which would need a tad more fruit concentration to balance out. Right now it has lots of charm." Jancis Robinson
"The Cottanera 2017 Etna Rosso Feudo di Mezzo draws its fruit from one of the grand cru sites of Etna, if you care to classify the appellation vineyards in that manner. From a hot vintage, this wine shows depth and concentration that gives the wine weight and a heavy center of gravity. That makes all the difference in terms of mouthfeel. The wine's volume and texture have been considerably enhanced. The quality of fruit is solid, and the wine shows pretty acidity thanks to vineyard sites located at a cool 750 meters in elevation." “Gisep” Barbera d’Alba DOC 2021
"If our Barbera d'Alba DOC is a traditional red wine from the Langhe, we consider Gisep to be a representative of a grape variety that is also capable of astonishment. Gisep means Giuseppe in Piedmontese: a tribute to our grandfather, who was instrumental in the development of our winery. We make it from a selection of grapes from different vineyards, and only in the best years. Structured and lush, pleasantly complex and rounded, yet surprisingly long-lasting and full of character." Franco Massolino
Massolino's Barbera d'Alba Gisep focuses on the sultry, smoky and refined side of this favourite Piedmontese grape. If the winery's classic Barbera is a bare and exposed expression, this wine shows the smart clothes and accessories that elevate it to first class. Dark cherry, plum, smoke, liquorice, incense and new leather give the current edition a terrific complexity of flavour and depth. SUPERIORE.DE
"Very deep crimson. Much denser than the simpler bottling, with a slightly mossy nose. Very bright and dense and sleek. Really grabs the palate. Finishes with quite a bit of acidity. Real bite. Youthful." Jancis Robinson
"The Barbera d'Alba Gisep 2021 is a blend of three Barbera parcels in vineyards labelled Barolo. Dark blue/purple fruit, lavender, cloves and mocha give the 2021 an impressive complexity. The Gisep is deep and rich, but by no means overly heavy. Another great wine from Massolino." Vinous

“Le Cupole di Trinoro” Rosso Toscana IGT 2021
Le Cupole shows dark fruit intensity and an impressive aromatic spectrum with cherries, blackberries and plums. A hint of sweetness in the drink, a finely accentuated texture with a phenolic density and structure that gives it volume and excellent ageing potential. Added to this is a value at this level, which is unparalleled in Tuscany. SUPERIORE.DE
"Powerful. Lots of tension and a bit fresher than Tenuta di Trinoro. Big difference in price!" Jancis Robinson
"The 2021 Le Cupole is magnificent. Bold, powerful and expressive, the 2021 offers an exciting blend of dark fruits, leather, grilled herbs, lavender and dark chocolate. Trinoro's entry-level Cupole offers tons of intensity and richness at a very affordable price, making it a crowd pleaser for sure." Vinous
"Currants and flowers with cinnamon and some blood orange. It's medium-bodied with fine tannins and a nice, smooth finish. Delicious now." James Suckling
"Bright, light ruby red with a slightly brightening rim. In the nose of red and ripe fruits, then slightly spicy-balsamic. Full-bodied on the palate, juicy, with powerful tannin, long final, still seems somewhat youthful." Falstaff
"A round, fleshy red that starts with an explosion of pure blackberry and black cherry fruit. It gains depth from mineral, earthy and spicy notes with a base of refined tannins supporting it. Long and balanced." Wine Spectator
"The 2021 Le Cupole is the affordable entry-level red wine from one of Tuscany's most prolific and creative wineries. Le Cupole is velvety and full-bodied with dark fruits, dried cherries and sweet earth or terracotta. It's an incredible value." Wine Advocate
The "complete" Bordeaux of Tenuta di Trinoro, with a dominance of Cabernet Franc and Merlot and a participation of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. Red currant on the nose, hints of nutmeg, rhubarb and orange peel, more marjoram on the finish. Piquant-spicy, fruity-spicy on the finish." Luca Gardini

Rosso di Montalcino DOC 2020
Le Ragnaie's harmonious and graceful Rosso di Montalcino captivates with its multi-layered bouquet of sour cherries and musk, which deepens further with crushed dried roses, minty herbs and a pinch of savoury spice. Silky and smooth on the palate, but its energy and tension remain high throughout. Wild strawberries with sweet tannins continue to build towards the end. The wine is elegant and feminine and finishes classically dry and balanced with mineral notes and a hint of liquorice that linger for a long time. SUPERIORE.DE
"Palish ruby. Lifted sour-cherry and cranberry fruit with an exotic spice note. Elegant, nervy red fruit that dances over the palate." Jancis Robinson
"The 2020 Rosso di Montalcino is intense, with a burst of crushed rocks and exotic spice giving way to medicinal black cherries. This is velvety and pliant, with a dense wave of mineral-laden wild berry fruit lifted by brisk acidity. It finishes savory and with tension, leaving a tug of primary concentration to linger. Unlike most 2020s Le Ragnaie has captured much more complexity and depth." Vinous

“Ginestreto” Rosso di Montalcino DOC 2021
Light ruby colour. Rich bouquet of red cherry, strawberry, chocolate and violet. Generous and lively on the palate of rhubarb, strawberry cake and sour cherry, the fruit is beautifully concentrated and full. The nobly knitted tannin structure leads this multi-layered and very serious Sangiovese into a charming, mineral finish. Every year, Fuligni produces a wine that is outstanding for the appellation and, in terms of style, is an ingenious crossover between tradition and modernity. SUPERIORE.DE
"Medium ruby red colour. Seductive and fresh aroma of wild red fruits. Lots of tension and the finest tannins. Beautiful balance between lively fruit and mouth-filling freshness and dry texture. Very long." Jancis Robinson
"The 2021 Rosso di Montalcino Ginestreto is gorgeous, blossoming before my eyes with a heady blend of sweet rose petals, dried black cherries and autumnal spice. Its textures are pure and silky, as a polished wave of ripe red fruits and cooling mineral tones wash across the palate. Rich raspberry and balsamic spice hints linger, and the 2021 finishes crisp and fresh yet still youthfully structured. This is one of the prettiest interpretations of Ginestreto I've experienced, yet that's not to say it's any less powerful." Vinous
"From young vines, barely more than 10 years old, but already of exceptional quality, a red wine aged in wood and steel with a very intense nose, blueberry, then notes of thyme and marjoram, a juicy palate, iodised tannins, a very persistent finish with fruity-balsamic notes." Luca Gardini

“Curubella” Pinot Grigio Friuli Colli Orientali DOC 2019
Livio Felluga's new crus come from massalselection. For this purpose, selected vines are reproduced in particularly advantageous locations in order to renew vineyards with especially high-quality vines and to further improve the quality of individual varietal wines.
Named after the small Curubella vineyard, this Pinot Grigio expresses the unique and very expressive terroir in a very special way. Golden yellow with copper-coloured reflections, which are the result of a longer maceration period. On the nose, autumnal notes of medlar, jasmine and white pepper, rounded off by elderberry, marjoram, melon and orange zest. On the firm palate, powerful and expressive of candied fruit, spice with floral elements. In the long finish then traces of acacia honey and pastry. Complex and deep with a very clear personality, freshness and beautiful minerality. SUPERIORE.DE
"Delicate orange pink, a Ramato that is anything but a name. Spicy, salty notes with a hint of bread crust over brooding apricot with a hint of flowers. Restrained at first, then layers of apricot and peach with spice notes and bitter orange on the finish. It would be a shame not to serve this wine with a sole. It has a lot of life ahead of it." Jancis Robinson
"In the local dialect, Curubella means "rounded highland" and describes the land where this massive selection of Pinot Grigio vines was planted in 1981. This traditional Ramato-style Pinot Grigio spends two days on the skins for a delicate copper hue and subtle texture, and is aged in Cocciopesto amphorae - a mixture of sand, gravel and clay used for thousands of years - for a completely neutral but oxidative vessel. The result is a fragrant and leafy aroma, with an intense, creamy and bright palate of green fruits, soft melon, subtle yellow fruits and a floral, lifted finish with more creaminess." Decanter
"Beautiful aromas of cantaloupe melon, rose petals and pear blossom. Medium bodied, growing on the palate with white pepper and peaches with some honeysuckle. Refined. A new wine from a single vineyard from here." James Suckling

Barbaresco “Spezie” Riserva DOCG 2015
The Nebbiolo grapes for this archetypal Barbaresco come from marl soils at an altitude of about 250 metres. After two years of ageing in large wood and a further 6-7 (!) years of bottle maturity, here comes a wine on the market which, with its perfectly matured tannins and fine sweet melting, is already giving even the most impatient Nebbiolo fan a lot of pleasure.
Ruby red with garnet reflections, convincing, spicy bouquet of violets, moss, rose petals and small red fruits. Nice pressure on the palate, yet open-hearted, fresh and full-bodied, with well-dosed extract-sweet notes of maraschino cherry and a beautiful fruit that promises another great future in combination with the fine-meshed tannin. SUPERIORE.DE
"Rich bright cherry red with dark reflections. Inviting bouquet of juicy wild raspberries, blackberries, also something of cardamom and delicate bourbon vanilla. Pleasant on the nose, winds gracefully through the palate, powerful in body with a sparse structure, yet clear, goes into the lingering final with good pressure." Falstaff
"Lustrous maturing ruby with orange tinges. Sweetly scented ripe cherry nose with the merest suggestion of fruit cake and hugely appealing. A succulent mouthful of marasca-cherry fruit with coating tannins. Long, concentrated and highly enjoyable and still not at its peak." Jancis Robinson
"Rich and broad with a fleshy opulence to the wine. Blackberries touched by truffle oil, smoked meats, and dried herb perfume." Decanter
"A solid 2015 Barbaresco with spice, cedar and plum character. Full body, lots of fruit and chewy tannins. This needs time to soften and come together." James Suckling

Barbaresco DOCG 2020
The grapes for the Barbaresco come mainly from the top vineyards Pora, Ovello, Montestefano, Muncagota and Rio Sordo. Deep, lively ruby to garnet red. Extensive bouquet of red fruits and pastries with a mineral touch. On the palate, it convinces with a rich, solid structure as well as a continuous development, which ends in a long-smelling final. The leading winegrowers' cooperative in Italy shows every year already with its basic Barbaresco what it and its members are capable of. SUPERIORE.DE
"Youthful mid ruby. A proper, concentrated fruit nose, which this vintage is woefully short of. Subtle marasca cherry palate with lots of finely ground tannins; head and shoulders above the rest." Jancis Robinson
"This is aromatic and attractive with notes of dried cherries, hibiscus, cocoa and bark, following through a medium body with polished and refined tannins with velvety texture, and a linear finish. Fresh and floral at the end with a bright red fruit backbone." James Suckling
"The 2020 Barbaresco is a lovely, harmonious wine that will drink well with minimal cellaring. Forward fruit and soft curves are perhaps a bit uncharacteristic for young Barbaresco but that also make the wine very enjoyable. Juicy red cherry/plum fruit, rose petal, spice, cedar, mint and tobacco all meld together in the glass. Classicists will probably prefer other vintages, but it's hard not to like the 2020 for its charming, effusive personality. At the same time, aeration brings out greater aromatic presence and a good deal of structure, too." Vinous
"Still vinous, with youthful strawberry notes, rosebud, violet, liquorice and a whiff of cinnamon. Savoury and floral on the palate which is dominated by firm, crisp, long acidity and velvety ripe tannins of an amazing quality; perhaps just a bit stern on the aftertaste. Amazing Barbaresco. Here we have the cooperative of Barbaresco and one known as producing some of the best-priced quality wines in all of Langhe." Decanter
"The 2020 Barbaresco boasts an ample set of aromas with wild cherry, blue flower, sweet spice and crushed limestone. As always, the wine paints an exciting and authentic portrait of Nebbiolo, albeit with a little more richness and texture in this vintage. This is especially true in terms of the palate, where the wine offers mid-weight intensity with melting tannins." Wine Advocate

Rosso di Montalcino DOC 2021
Here is a big, rich Rosso that is harmonious and impressive in all its components. The bouquet alternates between dried cherries and a fine tobacco note. The palate is taut and precise, in keeping with the house style, and its body is supported by powerful tannins, making it an ideal accompaniment to Tuscan cuisine. SUPERIORE.DE
"Brilliant carmine red colour. A little closed compared to 2020 and brooding. Supple, ripe red fruit with fresh, juicy acidity and plenty of enveloping tannins that don't overpower the fruit. Great length, balance and freshness and with more substance than the 2020. I can imagine it getting even better in another year." Jancis Robinson
"The 2021 Rosso di Montalcino is wildly fresh with vivid raspberry, cherry, mint and clove. This flows across the palate with the silkiest of textures contrasted by tart red berries and zesty acids as hints of autumnal spice settle in toward the close. The 2021 finishes concentrated, long and youthfully intense. Grippy tannins promise many years of development. There is simply so much going on here and more to come, yet this newly minted Rosso will require patience to show its best." Vinous
"The confirmation of a territorial vocation in this truly surprising red wine, refined and intense at the same time. Raspberry, a hint of ginseng and liquorice root on the nose, spicy tannins, fruity and spicy, with great drinkability." Luca Gardini
