The grapes grow at an altitude of 230 metres in clayey, loamy soils with a high proportion of skeleton. Spontaneous fermentation in cement, 15–18 days maceration with délestage and remontage, followed by maturation partly in cement and partly in wood.

Ramitello is unjustly overshadowed by Contado. Yet it is a potential favourite red wine that perfectly embodies the intensity of southern Molise. In the glass, it has a deep ruby colour with violet reflections. The lily in the name is no coincidence: Flordelis – fleur-de-lis – refers to the coat of arms of the Hohenstaufen family, to whom the winery owes its name. The Rosato comes from a six-hectare vineyard in Maschito at an altitude of 550 metres and shows the modern side of Aglianico. After brief contact with the skins, the noblest must is drawn off by saignée as soon as the typical coral colour is reached. This is followed by cold decanting like a white wine and fermentation at low temperatures with selected yeasts.

A wine of contrasts: Müller-Thurgau (70%) and Gewürztraminer (30%) – typically Nordic grape varieties – find a surprisingly ideal terroir on the slopes of the extinct volcano Monte Vulture. Founded in 1998, the Terre degli Svevi winery near Venosa, named after the Hohenstaufen dynasty and their king Manfred, utilises the volcanic soils and the strong day-night fluctuations to fully exploit the aromatic properties of these varieties. The grapes are harvested by hand at the beginning of September, left briefly on the skins and fermented at low temperatures in stainless steel. Two months of ageing on the lees round off the wine.

The owner of Selvapiana, Francesco Giuntini, and the owner of the Petrognano winery, Cecilia Galeotti Ottieri, have been friends for a long time. Their small winery on the border between Tuscany and Emilia Romagna is located in the centre of the Pomino DOC, which was first mentioned in a document in 1716 and is one of the first four protected appellations in Tuscany (alongside Rufina Classico, Carmignano and Valdarno Superiore).

Dott. Daniele Cernilli, internationally renowned Italian wine journalist, co-founder and long-time editor-in-chief of the famous Italian wine guide Gambero Rosso, has new projects. "Doctor Wine" – a highly active and successful online platform about Italian wine, also in English.
In October 2014, the largest Italian publishing house published its first 550-page "Guida essenziale ai vini d'Italia". Daniele Cernilli, together with a small editorial team and well-known experts, tasted wines from all over Italy and evaluated them according to the internationally proven 100-point system. All wines that score more than 95 points will be converted into "The Guide’s Faces". In the first guide there were 106 wines.
In addition, the producers themselves are also awarded up to three stars, not even 10%, namely only 73 wineries. Cernilli also attaches particular importance to the price-performance ratio, wines with more than 85-90 points and an average selling price of less than 10 euros in Italy, receive a mention.
