On the firmly structured palate, taut fine-grained tannins accompany Marasca cherry, cassis, tobacco and star anise. The assertive finish closes on a note of roasted coffee bean." Wine Enthusiast

      "Bright, deep red-ruby. Precise but restrained aromas of strawberry nectar, raspberry, violet and licorice. At once fresh and powerful, with harmonious acidity lifting the youthfully tight structure and supporting creamy ripe red and black fruit flavors complicated by tar and herbs. Long, serious and brooding, this is distinctly more powerful than the usual style of Turriga. I’m not usually a fan of needlessly bigger, tannic wines with little grace or balance, but this Turriga is at once powerful and refined. The very long, floral finish displays excellent focus."       "Very spicy indeed with brambleberries, earth, vanilla, ash, tar, sous bois, cassis bush, glazed dark cherries and dried meat. Full-bodied and very dense on the palate, which is surrounded by plush, chocolate-studded dark fruit and coated with layers of earth and spices.
