“Rami” Falanghina del Molise DOC 2024 (BIO)
Light, straw-yellow white wine with a greenish tinge. The bouquet is fresh and appealing: ripe apricot, peach and a delicate broom blossom stand out. The palate is round and lively at the same time, with a slight salty freshness, pleasant acidity and a fine aftertaste of bitter almond. The cuvée consists of 90% Falanghina, refined with a small proportion of Greco, all grown in the Ramitello region of Molise. Maturation in stainless steel tanks preserves freshness and varietal typicity. Rami is an accessible, organically produced white wine with a regional identity and an invigorating lightness with a lovely flow. SUPERIORE.DE

![Sangiovese Terra degli Osci IGT 2021]()
Sangiovese Terra degli Osci IGT 2021
Bright ruby red with a violet rim. Ripe cherry, redcurrant and a hint of violet – inviting and typically Sangiovese, but with a southern Italian accent. Juicy fruit, lively freshness and pleasantly soft tannins on the palate. What makes it special is its origin: Molise – remote, underestimated, but ideal for red wines with a strong character and a special flavour. Maturation in stainless steel tanks preserves the freshness and purity, while the sun of the Osci hills ensures fullness. A purist, organically produced Sangiovese with an exciting Mediterranean profile – and not from Tuscany, but from Molise. SUPERIORE.DE

Pale straw yellow with a greenish tinge. Juicy citrus fruit, yellow apple, white flowers and a hint of wild herbs on the nose. ![Greco Molise DOC 2024 (BIO)]()
Greco Molise DOC 2024 (BIO)
According to Aristotle, the ancient clones of the Greco vine originate from Tessaglia. The most famous of these is the "Aminea Gemina Maior", from which this wine is made. Straw yellow in colour with a greenish tinge, it promises freshness and lightness. A fruity bouquet unfolds on the nose: peach, apricot, citrus fruit and a delicate hint of white flowers – all elegant and inviting. Dry, smooth and balanced on the palate: harmonious fruit, fine acidity and a mineral finish that makes you want to savour the next sip. Maturation in stainless steel tanks preserves the varietal style and aromatic clarity. 100% Greco, organically grown in Molise – a rare and charming grape variety with an expressive character. Aglianico del Molise DOC 2020 (BIO)
A red wine with a southern heart and depth: this Aglianico del Molise comes from organically cultivated vineyards at classic altitudes. Blackcurrant, blackberry, liquorice, some smoke and Mediterranean herbs on the nose. Powerful yet balanced on the palate, with well-integrated tannins, lively acidity and a mineral finish. !["Ramitello" Rosso Biferno DOC 2021]()
“Ramitello” Rosso Biferno DOC 2021
Ramitello is unjustly overshadowed by Contado. Yet it is a potential favourite red wine that perfectly embodies the intensity of southern Molise. Made from 80% Montepulciano and 20% Aglianico, Ramitello matures for around 18 months, partly in barriques and partly in stainless steel tanks, followed by around six months of bottle ageing. In the glass, it has a deep ruby colour with violet reflections. The bouquet is brooding and complex: ripe plum and blackberry combine with spicy notes of leather, liquorice, eucalyptus and a hint of coffee. The palate shows excellent balance: dense fruit, structured, grippy tannins and a long, fruit-accentuated finish that is characterised by tension and naturalness. This wine epitomises the authentic power of Molise – unaffected, terroir-precise and at the same time impressively harmonious. SUPERIORE.DE

!["Contado" Aglianico Riserva Molise DOC 2020]()
“Contado” Aglianico Riserva Molise DOC 2020
A wine that tells in every facet where it comes from – that is Contado Riserva. Made from 100% Aglianico from organically farmed slopes of the Ramitello vineyard in Molise (Contrada Camarda), it shows the potential of this robust grape variety and the special region. The soil is calcareous with clay and sand, giving the wine mineral depth and vigour. The late harvest is followed by a long maceration period, after which the wine matures for a total of around three years: partly in barriques and tonneaux, partly in stainless steel tanks, and finally with extended bottle ageing. This careful ageing philosophy gives the wine complexity, elegance and a fine power of integration in every vintage.

Don Luigi Riserva is the distinctive flagship of Di Majo Norante – named after the patriarch of the winery and an expression of deep respect for origin, tradition and passion. The wine is produced after a long maceration period and then matures for 12–18 months in French barriques, followed by several months of rest in the bottle – a process that produces both concentration and this impressive harmony.

The historic winery of the Di Majo family in Molise, in the north of the Gargano in the Ramitello region around Campomarino, slumbered for a long time until it acquired a very good reputation beyond the borders of Italy. Today, wines of the finest quality - concentrated, modern and fresh - come from there throughout. The young exceptional winemaker Alessio di Majo, supported by the renowned oenologist Riccardo Cotarella, has dedicated himself to the almost forgotten ancient grape varieties of the region and helped them to new prestige. In the Azienda Di Majo Norante, the emphasis is on a pleasantly fruity appearance and an ordered structure. This ranges from the drink-friendly white wines to the powerful red wines. The fact that the drops are also offered on the market at an extremely favourable price/quality ratio is not due to the level of the plants produced there.
Alessio di Majo, a winegrower who often swims against the current, produces wines that combine traditional craftsmanship with modern technology. He has abandoned high yields in the vineyard and efforts to standardize taste in favour of the search for quality and typicity. The loose, partly sandy soils, together with the summer wind around Campomarino, offer particularly favourable conditions for vine cultivation. The plants thrive in wonderful locations covering 85 hectares of the ancient feudal property of Marchesi Norante di Santa Cristina. The vines are treated exclusively with organic fertilizers of organic and mineral origin.
The groundbreaking decision to select the most suitable clones of autochthonous vines by studying their adaptability to the Mediterranean soil is the starting point for all Di Majo Norante wines. In the beginning, the family had added the red varieties Sangiovese, Montepulciano and Aglianico as well as Falanghina and Greco to the classic varieties for white wine production. The traditional red variety Tintilia as well as the Moscato Reale for the production of a noble Passito wine later completed the portfolio.
The Di Majo Norante winery has been making wine from its own grapes for more than 200 years, as evidenced by the old cellars below the Piazza in Campomarino and in the old family palace there. The passion for viticulture, inherited first by Luigi and then by Alessio di Majo, is practised in combination with a great interest in research and innovation. As part of extensive modernisation measures, the preparation facilities were supplemented by a granary dating from the year 600, which now serves as a barrique cellar. SUPERIORE.DE
"Di Majo Norante in the region is to be equated with the word wine. This now legendary winery has profoundly influenced the innovation of viticulture within the region."Gambero Rosso
