Pinot Noir, which originates from France, has been cultivated in South Tyrol since 1850. The best sites, low yields, meticulous care and perfectionism in the cellar guarantee a fine, extremely sensual Pinot Noir with considerable ageing potential. In his constant search for perfection, cellar master Hans Terzer presents the fourth edition of the Pinot Noir Riserva "The Wine Collection" this year.

Notes of sour cherry, blackcurrant, rose petals, minty herbs and floral undergrowth. On the palate, it impresses at this youthful stage with ripe red and light blue berries, mineral underpinnings and bright acids that slowly mingle with savoury spices. A layer of fine tannin lingers and flexes the wine's structural muscles, even if the core of ripe primary fruit remains firm. With just 3,300 bottles, this is a real rarity and one of the great Pinot Noirs of South Tyrol every year. SUPERIORE.DE
