The flagship Montosoli 2020 is all Burgundian style, slowly awakening in the glass with a delicate blend of sweet herbs, crushed violet candy, hints of spiced orange and wild strawberries. It captivates with an astonishing purity of fruit and an inner sweetness that seems to hover over the palate, while red berries and salty minerals slowly emerge under a violet-coloured hint of flowers. Leaves a grippy coating of fine tannins, yet balanced by a residue of savoury acidity, finishing long, lightly textured and with impeccable balance. SUPERIORE.DE

"At first, it seems more powerful, darker and earthy-mineral, in a certain way more "masculine" than La Casaccia, pomegranate and blood orange animate, delicately dusty hints. Very deep and mysterious. Shows much more ethereal notes, forest floor, Mediterranean scrub, but also wonderful floral nuances and wonderful liquorice notes, which are also clearly present in the mouth. Dense and gripping, bundled and powerful, but remains tightly meshed, clearly stonier, not quite as "austere" as last year, but still as grippy as ever, juicy and velvety final with mineral notes.
