Pievi is lighter and fresher than you would expect from Bolgheri, with soft and silky tannins. The bouquet has aromas of cooked cherries and blackberry jam, with a hint of mint and rosemary. The wine, aged only in cement, is open and has a loose structure. The main focus is on the sun-kissed fruit from the sand and clay soils at an altitude of 50 metres above sea level.
