"My research into the world of white wines led to the creation of this unconventional wine. I have always realised that the most interesting aspect of Vermentino is in the skin. It is a delicious grape to eat, rich in aromatic notes. That's why I wanted to vinify Vermentino from the Le Gonnare vineyard, a small plot planted in 1987, and leave the skins to macerate with the must for 6 days during alcoholic fermentation. This has led to more aroma and the characteristic golden colour without making it heavy. A full-bodied and at the same time very cheerful wine." Fabio Motta

Le Gonnare Vermentino shows a bright yellow colour, which is somewhat unusual for this variety, which normally tends to have green reflections, after which the grape was named. Generous bouquet with ripe aromas of Golden Delicious apple and quince. It has a great presence and freshness on the nose and finally on the palate thanks to the vinification process, which includes working with the skins. It is macerated for six days (without malolactic fermentation) and rests in ceramic vats for up to six months. Very drinky, original and full of character. SUPERIORE.DE

Viscous in the glass, very rich, opens up on the palate with a full mouthfeel, paired with present, balanced acidity, slight saltiness on the finish, with light phenolics, well integrated, wavers back and forth between substance, viscosity and verticality, fine apricot flavour on the finish and very juicy and salty.
