A characterful expression of southern elegance, characterised by the terroir of the Maremma and a cuvée that ingeniously combines Syrah and Grenache. The vines for the Tinata grow on clay and limestone soils on a hillside not far from the Tyrrhenian coast near Capalbio. The 2021 vintage was balanced and almost ideal: a moderately warm summer, without drought stress, followed by a long, sunny autumn - the best conditions for fully ripe, aromatically complex grapes.

The two grape varieties were carefully harvested by hand, vinified separately and matured for around 16 months in French barriques and tonneaux after a long maceration period - with a sensitive dosage of wood that supports fullness and depth, but without excessive dominance. Dense purple in the glass with a violet hue. The nose is intense and seductive: dark berries, violets, black pepper, lavender and fine roasted flavours unfold with increasing air contact. Powerful yet silky smooth on the palate, with dark fruit, Mediterranean spice and cool minerality. The tannins are polished, the finish is long, balsamic and deeply harmonious. Tinata is not a loud wine, but an artful dialogue between origin and style - a Mediterranean Grand Vin with quiet sophistication and great potential for development. SUPERIORE.DE

"The Tinata is a tribute to Georg's mother Tina and a Rhône blend of 70% Syrah and 30% Grenache. It is interesting how the colour here changes to a radiant geranium red. On the nose, the Tinata is clearly more open and spicy with notes of ripe raspberry, forest fruits, clearly pomegranate and (red) currant, but also mineral with a fine reductive note. It is juicy on the palate and appears somewhat more candied in its fruit character and therefore sweeter, which is then beautifully contrasted by the spicy, herbal notes such as thyme.
