A distinctive expression of southern elegance, shaped by the terroir of the Maremma and a cuvée that ingeniously combines Syrah and Grenache. The vines for the Tinata grow on loamy, calcareous soils on a hillside, not far from the Tyrrhenian coast near Capalbio. The 2021 vintage was balanced and almost ideal: a moderately warm summer, without any drought stress, followed by a long, sunny autumn – perfect conditions for fully ripe, aromatically complex grapes.

The two grape varieties were carefully harvested by hand, vinified separately and, following a long maceration period, aged for around 16 months in French barriques and tonneaux – with a subtle use of oak that enhances the wine's richness and depth without being overpowering. In the glass, it displays a deep purple colour with violet hues. The nose is intense and alluring: dark berries, violets, black pepper, lavender and subtle toasty notes unfold as the wine is exposed to air. On the palate, it is powerful yet silky-smooth, with dark fruit, Mediterranean spice and cool minerality. The tannins are polished, and the finish is long, balsamic and characterised by deep harmony. Tinata is not a loud wine, but rather an artful dialogue between terroir and style – a Mediterranean grand vin with understated refinement and great potential for development. SUPERIORE.DE

"The Tinata is a tribute to Georg's mother, Tina, and a Rhône blend comprising 70% Syrah and 30% Grenache. It is interesting to note how the colour here shifts towards a radiant geranium red. On the nose, the Tinata is distinctly more open and spicy, with notes of ripe raspberry, wild berries, pronounced pomegranate and (red) currant, but also mineral undertones with a subtle reductive note. On the palate, it is juicy and, in terms of its fruit character, comes across as somewhat candied and therefore sweeter, though this is then beautifully contrasted by spicy, herbaceous notes such as thyme.
