Le Baròncole Riserva captivates right from the nose with its juicy fruit and stone fruit aromas, and carries this lovely impression through to the palate. Cherries, sour cherries and blackberries – very juicy and powerful on the palate – fill the mouth completely, whilst remaining lively and elegant throughout. "The earliest harvest since 2017, in 2022, took place between 29 September and 4 October for Le Baròncole. A complex and fascinating treat for the palate, radiating the warm, untamed south of Chianti Classico with all the intensity and density of the hot, dry summer. Mint chocolate, cinnamon, nutmeg, terracotta and plum pour from the glass. On the palate, one detects salty minerals, iron and sun-dried tomatoes. Grainy, structured tannins coat the mouth and linger persistently, lending the wine a certain bite. Remarkably well-balanced and composed, although it will still need time to integrate its substantial tannins and oak influences." Decanter
