At the dizzying heights of Lamole, one of the highest-altitude appellations in Chianti Classico, the Sangiovese grapes for this exceptional Riserva thrive at altitudes of between 470 and 655 metres. The historic terraces, built from local Macigno del Chianti – that characteristic sandstone which stores the sun's heat during the day and releases it again at night – create a unique microclimate for this certified organic wine. Lareale brings together grapes from two of Lamole's finest vineyards: "Il Prato" and "Le Masse". 95% Sangiovese, complemented by five% Canaiolo Nero, results – following visual berry selection and a two-week maceration – in a Chianti Classico of remarkable elegance and austerity. Over two years' ageing in oak barrels lends the wine additional complexity and structure.

In the glass, the Riserva displays an intense ruby red colour with brilliant highlights. The bouquet unfolds classic aromas of violets and broom, paired with wild red fruits and balsamic notes of resin and undergrowth. The characteristic minerality of the high-altitude vineyards permeates the entire wine, lending it that typical 'Lamole' finesse. On the palate, the true greatness of this terroir is revealed: a lively, succulent texture with fine tannins and a dynamic, precise development. Despite its concentration, the high-altitude terroir preserves a refreshing acidity that lends the wine elegance and longevity – an authentic expression of Lamole's distinctive character.
