In his book *Native Wine Grapes of Italy*, Italy expert and wine critic Ian D'Agata writes about the grape variety: "Verdicchio is arguably Italy's greatest indigenous white grape variety. This statement may come as a surprise to those who have so far only tasted bland or watery Verdicchio wines, which have sometimes even been bottled in incredible, amphora-shaped bottles."

Pale straw-green. Clean and fresh on the nose; lively and spirited on the palate, with an almost laser-like precision in its aromas of citrus fruits, herbs, almonds, shellfish and crushed gravel. Its sweet-and-sour character makes the wine even more appealing and gives it a hint of "drink me now". Everything here is in perfect balance and possesses a natural vigour. Even Bisci's base wine, aged for 7 months on the fine lees, impressively demonstrates the estate's great class. SUPERIORE.DE
